Roof replacement....including woodworm and wasp nest treatment, new timbers, top up insulation, new fascia and gutters. All done in time for our holidays 😁

Funny but you can't see any of these cracks til you're close up. If water gets in and freezes it will blow the render off. All filled and ready for two coats of protection . I think we have got to this property in time.😊 Have you checked your house for cracks lately?

Back wall is severely cracked. There is no footing for the walls and the concrete pad is not thick enough to support the weight of the wall. It's all got to come down and be rebuilt.

Grade two listed.Full external redecoration using silicate paint for the lime plasterwork. Another happy customer. 😁

So all the old cement render and pink gypsum plaster have to come off. Tedious but it has to be done. Now the wall will be left for several days to allow it to breathe and dry the core before three coats of lime plaster are applied. We have also repaired the external render, realigned the rainwater pipe and installed a soakaway channel along the outside of this wall. 👍

This is what happens when you use modern plasters in old buildings. They need to breathe and using cement mortar suffocates the natural process. Wall is now very damp. All needs to come off and be replastered with lime mortar.

All systems go for a busy summer. Multiple exterior decorations will be the order of the day😎
