The English Piano Trio are performing a concert at West Lodge Park Hotel on Friday 12th October with a fascinating programme about the lives of Robert and Clara Schumann.
The National Gardens Scheme Open Day is on Sunday 21st October at WLP, the colours will be beautiful but the arboretum still needs plenty of rain after the hottest summer on record!
... Game week is in Outsidein Restaurant at Beales Hotel from 15th to 20th October with a selection of delicious game dishes prepared by Chef Jamie Curtis and his team.

ESTATE NEWS:
24 smart new LED lights are being installed right up the front drive at WLP to give a much safer and more welcoming approach to the hotel.
Deluxe new Hypnos pocket sprung beds have been installed in BH bedrooms 46, 47 and 48.
... The first floor corridor at WLP has been transformed with new LED lighting throughout.
A brand new electric Rational oven has been installed at WLP, the second such oven in the kitchen.
Replacement WCs are being fitted at BH in the ground floor ladies.
A new carpet has been fitted in Chestnut Lodge corridor to transform the approach to these lovely rooms at WLP.

What a find! My cousins and I spent a lovely weekend at the hotel. The hotel and rooms were really lovely! Very clean and the rooms were well equipped. The restaurant was very comfortable and the food was good and very well presented. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was that the bar was very chilly because of the air conditioning. This is not a complaint, just a mention and it certainly did not spoil our evening. We will definitely be going back. �

We love Beales (and West Lodge0. Got married there last year and would recommend to everyone and anyone. Customer service the food and the place. Very special - thank you very much x

We had a lovely evening for my dad's 70th birthday, the food and service were excellent! The staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to make everything perfect for us. The three course dinner was delicious and the buffet breakfast was great. We'll be back.

Very comfortable. Room had all the comforts of home. Food fantastic and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent from very friendly staff. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and if I’m down here again I will not hesitate in booking a room here.

Stayed for one night whilst having two days at the Game Fair. Excellent. Reception was quick and easy, the room was clean, large and perfect. We had our evening meal there and it was very good food and wine with very good service. Comfortable bed and very quiet overnight. Breakfast was spot on. Only negative was the bar was out of stock of bitter. I had to drink lager.

Staff excellent. Rooms comfortable. Here for a wedding where told we couldn't check in till 2pm as couldn't guarantee room would be ready. Arrived from Midlands at 1130 room was ready. Bonus. Would recommend.

Outside in restaurant, great food and service. Lovely to have a relaxed meal without feeling pushed out the door. Salt beef croquets are immense!

One of my favourite places personally, but also the 3rd year we have held our Annual Lindsey Fitness Christmas Party. Food always excellent, nothing to much trouble for the very attentive and helpful staff. A brilliant evening right from the very start to the very end......Great value too.

Yes been there last night to have food tasting for our wedding. Good choice for 3 courses. Look forward for our Big day at Beales Hotel. Service is good.

Very nice, clean and friendly staff. Only downside was £ 11.00 for a glass of wine in the function room bar. Needless to say - didn't have much to drink.

The staff at the Beales were extremely friendly and helpful - definitely worth a visit.

The Beales hotel is a gem if you need to stay in Hatfield. Staff are great & rooms are in good order & a decent size. The only criticism is the restaurant staff don't look after their customers well & the menu is very limited. Overall a great hotel.

Excellent food and friendly staff. I have stayed multiple times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend staying here if in Hatfield.

NIcely presented hotel with friendly helpful staff. We did have to request some of the extras that were advertised to come with the executive room as they werent there. And £17.20 for a bottle of beer and a single cointreau and lemonade on returning from our night out seemed ridiculously extortionate when i paid the following morning. Otherwise would of been a higher score Beales.

Wasnt impressed at all. No beers in the draught or bottles. The staff are friendly enough but wasnt keen on the food at all. My lamb was very rare and consequently i was unable to cut it as it was very stringy and thr foid wasnt particularly hot. Lacks any atmosphere , very bland. Wouldnt go there again

Ok when booking in no one at reception had to call and wait. Rooms small (we booked the executive room so I have no idea how the cheaper rooms are) and not particularly clean. Then at 11pm our door bursts open and other guests came into our room as reception had forgot we were still there and give our room(and key) to other guests. Glad we were in the room and not out as I have no idea what could have happened. Glad were were there for a short time. Never again.
