Belchamps Scout Activity Centre Description
Looking for something different for your next venture? Belchamps Scout Activity Centre offers fantastic camping set in beautiful Essex countryside, high quality indoor accommodation and a large range of activities for young people of all ages. Whether you are looking for a full residential experience or just a day visit, our instructors will ensure that your event is safe, excellent value for money and full of fun.
Belchamps Scout Centre is owned by the Scout Association. Belchamps Scout Centre was established in 1936. All our staff have or have had some involvement in Scouting. Our priority is the participants. It’s a small friendly team that look after you, and you get personal service, we are flexible and accommodating, we want every young person to go away having experienced an adventure.
We also want to make it as easy and comfortable for the staff bringing them as possible. Our prices are realistic, we are a non-profit making organisation, and any surplus goes directly back into improving the facilities we offer.

Summer Holidays Starts Here: Who's excited?
Loads and loads of Scout, Guide and Youth Groups joining us at Belchamps in the coming weeks. Lots of young people looking forward to our week long, mini Jamboree style camp - CAB (Camps at Belchamps).

We have a large activity day planed for a youth group and require extra volunteer instructors to make the day happen.

Leaders Only - Learn Practical Skills with Bushscout Essex @ Belchamps Scout Activity Centre on Saturday 21st July 2018...
This is on the Essex Scouts training calendar as modules 17 & 18, and must be booked via the training calendar. If you have already covered Modules 17 & 18 this will count as 7 hours of ongoing learning.

... A full day learning seven skills that you can take back to your groups, being instructed by skilled Scouters from all over the country.
To give an example of the skills you will learn, please have a look at the photos from Bushscout GLNE training day that BushScouts instructed at on Saturday 28th April 2018.
You will get the chance to learn how to pass on practical skills to the young people in your sections, helping to enhance yours and their Scouting experiences.
It is an outside, hands-on and fun practical learning experience.

The week is packed full of activities and includes extra brought in activities. There's also It's a Knock Out, Competitions, Talent Shows and a disco.
Great to have the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill back. Good luck to anyone taking part in the 10K.
We have just finished CAB week with our Brownies and Guides. It was a fantastic week!!!!!!! The girls have had great fun and achieved many new challenges. Many thanks to the all the staff who were brilliant and made the week full of special memories.
We came to do the easter egg Hunt thus week and although it being busy we had a great time. We took a picnic and found dead a quiet spot and let the kids run. An excellent few hours. The only thing i would say is they really could do with a rabbit running around with a few mini eggs for the adults lol
Took our regional camp of 163 persons here for the week. Staff were great with the young people, friendly, and helpful. Really accomodating of our needs as a large group too. Thanks all! We will be back for some more smaller events I'm sure.

One of the best weeks of my life, on of the best campsite I have been too. All the staff where pleasant and helpful, everyone had a smile on their face and made sure everyone was happy, thank to all staff for the best week
My son has just returned from wake up weekend and had a great time. Lots of activities and camping have worn him out. Excellent value. He said the toilets were a bit grim but with all the mud this weekend I'm not surprised lol.
My son had a birthday party here yesterday and absolutely loved it, as did all the kids. Great range of things to do and at a good price too, much better value for money than big organisations. The staff were all very helpful. Was good to something different and out doors for a change. Will definitely be back. Thanks to everyone there especially Freddie.
My daughter had her birthday party here yesterday and loved it especially the assault course! They have a great range of activities so will definitely be back �
My daughter had her 11th birthday party here, they did the high ropes, Jacobs ladder and assault course. Adam our instructor made the day fun & exciting for the children. It is very reasonably priced. Thank you very my Adam and Belchamps for making her birthday a fantastic day.
My children aged 10 and 7 both had their party here at different times choosing different activities. Both parties were fantastic. All the children loved it. All very well organised. Staff were lovely too! Chris hosted my daughters party and was great with the children very enthusiastic � would definitely recommend to others! �
Just returned from a party for my son's 8th birthday which was fantastic. Great choice of activities to choose from and all the children had so much fun. Friendly and professional staff (big thanks to Dan) and great value. Assault course action, mud, fresh air, rifle shooting and a burger.....what more could an 8 year old ask for?!
Have camped at Belchamps many times. Never had a negative experience. CAB is an excellent week and outstanding value for money. Wincam is a fun and busy weekend, we tried the catering option this year. That was a good decision. 3 hot meals a day, good portion sizes, served quickly.
Looking forward to my next visit!
Had our first visit this week to do the Easter Egg hunt. Kids loved running around in the fresh air and it was a great hunt and egg at the end. Will definitely come again and next time bring a picnic. Staff were super friendly too.
Another good time at trick and treat trail. My little boy loved it� cheap cuppa yea was great to walk round in the rain, toilets where clean. Xxx

Absolutely excellent. They even got my 10 year old who is confined to a wheelchair to the top of the high ropes. Fantastic when the staff have thrown themselves into helping a child fulfil his dreams x
Took a group of 8yr old boys who has a great time. Our 'host' was great. Food better than expected
A little more organisation and running on time would have made it a 5
