What a fantastic venue to hold a wedding! I am an event planner and i used this venue for a wedding at the weekend, WOW, the staff were fantastic, the venue was clean, the food was amazing. Sophie the wedding coordinator and James from the events team were exceptional they worked alongside me to ensure everything ran smoothly and professionally without any hitches. I will definatley be using this venue again to host many more of my events. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thanks guys, Mikey - Events with a Sparkle :) :)
We spent 2 nights, 2 adults 2 children in a family room. The beds were amazing! Huge! With crisp white cotton bedding. The kids loved their bunk bed. Fantastic breakfast, buffet, which was perfect start to a day at Alton Towers. Staff were great, professional and thorough. The only 1 tiny fault was smoking area right at the back entrance, when parking the car we had to walk through a wall of smoke. Maybe consider a designated smoking area out of the way of the entrance. Can't wait to visit again
We held our wedding reception at the Moat House on Saturday 7th April in the amazing ballroom and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Over the past year, we have had the honour of being able to work with Jess Gallimore and she has been wonderful. Nothing has ever been too much for Jess and she really did us proud on our wedding day. We stayed at the hotel the whole weekend and all the staff that we spoke to were great. A little thank you to Irene also from housekeeping who dealt with me at 5am the morning of my wedding; she is a lovely lady and a very hard worker. Thank you to everyone at the Moat House for making our evening run as smoothly as they physically could. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful food they served. Thank you again! We had our wedding reception on the 27th January 2018, everything was exceptional. The wedding breakfast and buffet at evening was amazing and the amount of guests we had that commented on the food was out of this world. The staff on the day were fantastic so helpful and made everything perfect, jess Gallimore was amazing we would not of got this organised with out her, we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done before during and after the wedding, her hospitality was outstanding!! Would highly recommend this. Xxx

The day was everything we wished for and more, and we genuinely feel they played an intricate part in making it so. My Maid of Honour and I stayed at The Moat House the night before the wedding and quite a lot of our wedding party stayed the evening of the wedding. We all felt that the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food both at the wedding and at the breakfast buffet was second to none. Nothing we asked for, leading up to and on the wedding day, was too much trouble.
We had a fantastic night at the Christmas preview. Food and Dj was fab and amazing value for money at less than £20 pp , the band were okay but the price of drinks was ridiculous. It's a shame the same night will cost over £40 in December just because it's Christmas or I'd definitely book it again for our works party.

Spent a night here so we could get an early start at waterworld which is next door. Parking is included in your room rate. Check in was nice and easy. We we're surprised that children can eat for free between 6-9pm when an adult has two courses. Best bit they can go up and help themselves to what ever they want. (Very happy children). We enjoyed our dinner. Breakfast was serve yourself and there was lots of choice we went early and it got really busy by the time we were leaving. Really good experience and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay again.
My son and daughter in law got married here on Saturday the food was amazing and we could not fault the service and staff they looked after use extremely well we all so stayed Friday and Saturday night we dined in the restaurant on Friday evening the meal was gorgeous the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was lovely too lots to choose from from the hot buffet and a very good selection on the cold too from cereal to fresh fruit and Danish pastry I would stay again in a heartbeat thank you for making my son and daughter in laws day very special 🥂🥂👰🏻🤵

Absolutely outstanding customer service from the reception team and the manager. I have just checked in after an appalling stay at the North Stafford Hotel. Becky the receptionist was attentive, polite and extremely helpful. All staff I have come into contact so far have been fantastic...nothing is too much! If only all hotels had staff like this. The room is spotless and the bed and chairs provided comfortable. Will definitely be returning!
We stayed here many times but last night my partner booked us a surprise being the suite 😲 the bed was amazing and so comfortable and spacious, the suite was lovely, the breakfast was lovely however the flies I saw after I was finished would have been good to not see them around the food otherwise a great stay
I wasn't sure what to expect about this hotel before we arrived as trip advisor didn't seem to rate it... but I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice. Slightly confused with reception being on the first floor and had to use to lift to check in but that ran smoothly and staff were friendly. We discovered we had no remote control for the tv, which was soon replaced when reported. The facilities are good. My son loved the pool and I loved the sauna; wish I could of had a beauty treatment but this treat was for my son as we was going to waterworld, which is next door... we were allowed to leave our car in the car park and walked to waterworld. We ate at the local retail park close by but didn't eat in hotel. I slept quite well but my son didn't. Checkout was fine. I would stay here again

Air conditioning didn’t work so room was stifling, but they did knock money of the bill to compensate this.
Breakfast was like a cattle market with lots of things not getting replenished quick enough so was quite empty when I got mine.
The aircon did not work as well as the room safe.
Only one set of towels for two people
Rang reception on several occasions which was a total waste of time as nothing happened.
Final straw a disco blaring out till midnight
Attended a wedding here in June 2018 - the buffet was lovely but not worth the £100 parking fine! Disgusting that genuine customers are being fined for using your facilities!
