Fitball core
My four favourite fitball core exercises (filmed at about 3am in a Singapore hotel gymπŸŒ™ )

I'M BACK. We had the most amazing honeymoon holiday 😍🌞🍹 I really didn't want it to end, but one of the consolations is coming back to my classes (seriously!).
We went to a zoo, two aquariums, a monkey sanctuary, botanical gardens, climbed a mountain to see the sunrise, snorkelled with mantra rays and fish, visited national places of significance, I jumped in photos, did a few workouts, we sunbathed, read books, and ate and drank well. I'll miss not seeing Charles 24/7.
I also... started to learn how to do a handstand. If anyone wants to learn/improve I'm happy to practise with you after any of my classes!
Pilates tonight... bear in mind it will feel like 3am for me, and I currently have 'cankles' from the 13hour flight. Also, BodySculpt on Friday will be a challenge after no barbell exercise for 4 weeks. Bring it on!! Until every part of my body is aching πŸ’ͺ😱

I'm going on holiday today until Wednesday 19th June, in which time I won't be using my mobile/the internet. Instead I will be sight-seeing, sunbathing, sleeping/relaxing, sipping cocktails... and sometimes exercising.
- My Physiofit classes are cancelled - Pilates is covered by Diane - BodySculpt is covered by Cat... - Able2B classes are covered by Rachael, then TBC
Great last class on Friday - 26 people on a Friday evening for BodySculpt πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ(less of whom wanted to be in a photo). And I really enjoyed the post class drink, thanks guys 🍷

As suggested by Rob after Pilates this week, a few of us are heading out for a drink (not one of our proper socials) after BodySculpt tomorrow. Will be great to finish my working week in style before my 3 week holiday! 🌞
Plan: BodySculpt 6:15-7pm (not compulsory), quick shower, meet downstairs, go to Queen of Iceni or Las Iguanas.
I'll only be having a drink. If people want dinner, you have the option to stay. I'll be heading home to my husband for steak night 😍

Three days of cancelled classes, meetings and work at Treat-Norwich due to tonsillitis. Frustrating to miss the work I love and not to be paid (in fact it has cost me money while I am earning nothing).
I have felt especially tired and achey recently, but haven't slowed down, so it's no wonder I have fallen ill.
It's so important to listen to our bodies and to act accordingly. The positives are that I have allowed myself to rest loads without feeling pressured, and I will be w...ell in time for our holiday at the end of the month.

Here's a shoulder (deltoid) video. Virtually every upper body exercise involves your shoulders to some extent. Shoulder shape is also important aesthetically for men and women. Be cautious on weight choice since your rotator cuff muscles (in shoulder) can be easily injured. Pick up some weights/ food cans/ wine bottles, and have a go (option to then open wine bottle).

Time to work out your glutes (your butt muscles). Glutes are often 'lazy' muscles, i.e. they don't work unless they absolutely have to. So, it is great to do isolation exercises to make them activate.
You are likely to need more repetitions of each exercise than in this video - I would split these exercises into three songs when teaching a class. You can add weights or therabands to increase intensity. Find 4 minutes and have a go!

Happy Mother's Day to all mums, mums to be, grandmothers, stepmothers, mother-in-laws, mother figures, mums of animals, and those wanting to be mums <3 I spent the morning with 11 fab pregnant ladies for Wellfitmumma's first pregnancy retreat which I co-hosted with Rosie of Wellfitmumma.
A big thank you to my wonderful mum who let me pick up and drop ballet, tennis, tap dancing, contemporary dancing, gymnastics, swimming etc until she joined me up to a gym and I loved it so never stopped. Nearly 20 years of gym exercise and counting. Thank you mum for helping me to find the perfect exercise for me (and for being an awesome human being) πŸ’ͺ

Whether you call it a press up or a push up, it's a great exercise using just your body weight. There are so many options incuding the clap press up (at end of video - fortunately I didn't fall on my face) so it's suitable for pretty much everyone.. and that includes you! I recorded this video due to this week's Tuesday Physiofitties 'loving' this section of the class.
I have heard countless women over my years in fitness say that they can't do a press up, I have never found this to be the case - choose your option. #pressup #pushup #nofaceplanting
