Happy new year and thank you so much to our fabulous loyal incredible customers for making 2018 such an awesome year for Big Beach Cafe-we had some great events including our first Lagoonfest, Daley’s birthday party, snailspace for the Martlets, art shows, street art and graffiti, food podcasts, Fatboy Slim DJing, Labour Party evening, the Obey movie, a proper summer and World Cup, and countless successful parties and events-we really appreciate your support and me and my amazing team look forward to welcoming you all in 2019...

would just like to say a very big thank you to danny and his stuff and all the donations thay have received .this will be used at are charity HOMELESS SURPORT SERVICE and will be handed out to the homeless straight away .if you would like to see where it goes we are at the clock tower in brighton every sunday between 1 and 3 serving up a hot meal and handing the donations out personally. please feel free to come be and say hi

We celebrated my daughters birthday party this Saturday with onw of her friends.



40 odd kids swarmed the Cafe fuelled full of sugar . The staff were amazing and we had the added pleasure of have a few beers onsite at the bar.



If you looking to have a function , then do consider this place as one of first and only options.

This is our favourite cafe! Not only do their coffees fire me up in the morning they are always so welcoming and ready with a sausage for my dog. I highly recommend this family and dog friendly cafe.

Such a wonderful friendly team! They always great you with a huge smile and ask how you are doing before anything else. Their customer service is exceptional and it’s great to receive such wonderful treatment in an extremely busy venue. Thank you for making our visit so pleasant

My daughter and I loved it, calamari was delicious as was the coffee. Love that it’s dog friendly and love the kids working there, so friendly �

I would like to say a massive, massive thankyou to all the team at Big Beach Cafe who made Lucia's birthday party so amazing last week. She had an 11th birthday party 'disco' here and it was an absolute winner. Lucia said it was her best birthday ever and all of her friends loved it too. Happy little smiling faces all round! We've recently moved to Hove from Birmingham (lucky us) and it was a chance for her to invite all of her lovely new friends who have made her so welcome. 22 girls descended on Big Beach Cafe at 6.30pm Sunday 25th June and the whole thing went like clockwork. I can not fault a single thing. The team were incredibly helpful, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The girls all got to pick off the full kids menu with the added bonus of a Mr whippy icecream. They had food first in the back room where the bar is and then came into the front room (where the food is usually ordered) which had been transformed into a disco and our DJ was playing and they danced into the early hours (Ok not quite but the danced until 8.30pm) We found this place by chance because we live opposite it and I am so happy we did. I can see this being an annual disco birthday event and I'm also thinking I might be booking my own party here. Apparently there's a late license so you can dance into the early hours, with a full bar, providing you are a bit older then 11, which I most certainly am. Once again thanks and I cannot recommend this place enough.

I had my 50th Birthday Bash there at the weekend. The new manager and team couldn't have been more helpful. The staff were friendly and good humoured and really looked after me and my friends - we certainly kept the bar staff busy! I can't thank them enough for making my night as good as I wanted it to be. We had many friends there from out of town - and they were very impressed with it as a venue. They all commented that the bar prices were pretty good as well. We will certainly be back.

Hats off to Big Beach Cafe, Anyone who is looking to host a party I can't recommend this place enough. With my 40th coming up i wanted a unique stylish location, with a slice of cool, Many of my friends had mentioned the Beach Cafe, so it seemed the obvious choice & I wasn't disappointed.



From start to finish it was a joy, the staff were welcoming, friendly & fun. The venue itself is perfect, Great atmosphere, good lighting with a relaxed bar area that leads into an amazing dance area, where i spent most of night raving to cheesy classics

Best place in Brighton for breakfast, well worth the amazing walk along the front-runner especially if you have a dog.

Kids love the 🍦and I love the good quality coffee and full Veggie breakfast.

Don't write this place off just because it's a tourist destination. You'll be hard pressed to find anywhere in Brighton that makes you feel more welcome than the Big Beach Café. A straightforward menu of beautifully cooked food and service worthy of all five stars. Well done Big Beach Café!

As a big fan of fatboy slim been wanting to visit the café for sometime. Today we made the treack from Kent to Hove. Staff very welcoming and friendly food nice and hot and not to over priced. Was hoping the man him self may of been in but cant have everything. Will go back again.

Always go there with my boys it’s a great treat we love the food the staff and the vybz great vegan choices

A big special thank you to Jane and all the other staff at big beach. We held a very special party yesterday and it we could not of ask to have it anywhere else. The team so so kind and so helpful. If anyone wants a party on the seafront then the big beach cafe is the venue to use!

Popped in with my boys for the first time in the Easter school

Holidays... walked into a chaotic atmosphere where what I assume was the owner ( older man) in heated talks with his staff and placing orders loudly over the phone and over the top of customers heads ... that aside the cafe was dirty. The table was dirty. The cup for my tea was dirty and the slice of bananas bread cake they sold me was rock hard and cold.. first time in and I wouldn’t go back again through choice and wouldn’t recommend ... location is good as right beside the children’s park and lagoon ( which is what probably keeps this business going )

The most diabolical food service. Order in side collect outside. And wait 25mins. So your food comes when you tea is cold. I guy who appears to run the place couldnt run a bath let alone a simple cafe.

Just attempted to have lunch this afternoon! It was noisy, disorganised and one particular member of staff had no patience whatsoever! I had spent over £30 for 4 lunches, no problem if what I ordered came out but when I rechecked the order with him he had not ordered fries and they had run out of sausage rolls! He was actually more interested in chatting to staff and fiddling with the till roll.When approached by another member of staff who was checking we had everything, the first person who served us said loudly "what else do they want now? ! " Apparently he ran the cafe! Such attitude and rudeness! I certainly wont be using the cafe again!

Its a lovely cafe with very friendly friendly staff, had a coffee today, but i must confess looking around inside today, i certainly wouldn't eat there, as i've never seen such a dusty/dirty place. It was really busy there today, but it looked like the place hadn't had a deep clean in many months, ceilings were also very filthy. Come on people it doesn't take a lot to sort it out, im surprised you have not had food warnings. Cobwebs on ceilings, dust on ovens, food plates with cakes on also had lots of dust, yuk yuk ....

I've had food poisoning since eating a simple breakfast at your cafe on Monday.



I won't eat with you again obviously, but I'm writing this because if my baby had been awake I'd have fed him some as well. I've been in pain with stomach cramps, nausea, temperature etc. For a tiny child this could be dangerous. I might have been pregnant.



Food hygiene is vital not just as a courtesy to your customers.
