Were down from North Yorkshire visiting Mum who lives in Sawtry, so opted for a curry out.



I usually opt for a Rogan Josh or Balti as I like to play it safe with the mildness but the guy offered to make me something different to try - it was gorgeous! A cross between a Rogan Josh & Balti with a sweetness to it with chicken & prawns. I think he said it was a Sweet Korai.



All four of us enjoyed our dishes, service was good and price reasonable.



Will return when we're next down visiting Mum.

We visited on Bank Holiday Monday for lunch, we were the only ones in the restaurant and they were very accomodating. Chef Tahir personally came over to serve us, and cooked us each an individual meal to our taste (Not from the menu). After our amazing main courses we were chatting with him and he offered us a complimentary dessert platter which was equally as lovely. Thoroughly recommend Bollywood Tiger for the lovely food and great service!

Took my husband and four of our friends here, the chef cooked a selection of dishes which we would never normally order, and they were truly amazing. Recommend people to come here and try the food. Will definitely come again.

Just need to manage a little better .As working in customer care I know people will not wait .Drinks a little slow but it comes with experience . lovely manager excellent food and sal Elvis is the best .keep up the good work .we are definitely coming back .

Just had a fantastic meal at Bollywood Tiger in Yaxley. I had a delicious dish with sea bream which the chef made to my special requirements. Never had a better indian meal. Lovely.

I went here recently for my birthday lunch and I can honestly say it was one of the best if not the best Indian meal I've ever had (and that includes having worked in leics for 2 years). Both my fiance and I are vegetarian and couldn't decide what to order off the menu so the owner (sorry can't remember his name) demonstrated his skill and knowledge by creating two fantastic dishes from scratch. All dishes are from traditional Indian family recipes and even the vegetables are home grown in their own allotment. I've eaten many times at all the Indian restaurants in Peterborough over the years and rest assured none of them even come close to the quality of food and service here. A real hidden gem in Yaxley and also perfect for vegetarians and vegans looking for a culinary delight!

Booked a table for 9 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and we all had a fabulous time, the staff were great and the food was lovely exceptional value for money and I would highly recommend it and we will definitely be going back.

Beautiful food in an amazing venue. Great for nights out and their party nights are not to be missed. Large selection on the food and drinks menu, inc cocktails. Wed banquet is excellent value and their Sun buffet is always a hit. Service used to let them down but this seems to have been rectified so def give 5* now.

To busy taking phone orders,waited 15mins for drinks at bar. Had to ask to be served, getting impatient by then. Taken to table, waited 20 mins for menus young girl that works there asked us 3 times if we've ordered. Meal came. Fantastic! Can't fault the meals one bit. Tried to put addictions to the bill that we never had. Shame! The place was extremely busy, which speaks volumes. On a funny side of things They have 2 young lads working there( twins ). It really does your head in lol

Ordered at 8.03 and was told that food be delivered with the hour... chased the order twice and it finally arrive at 940! The food was amazing.. just shame it was so late as we didn't really feel hungry by time it arrived. They promised to send gift voucher for next order so let's see what happens!!!

Coffee was not great so would not order that again but will definitely go back again. Looking forward to my next visits as I need to work my way through the extensive cocktail list. Would highly recommend to my friends and family

Will not be having a takeaway from here again, not only did we have to pay £5 more, as we supposedly had an out of date menu, but part of our meal was missed off, which was for a guest we had visiting, they agreed to deliver it, which came half an hour later, so of course the main meal was cold. disappointing as we have had issues in the past.

Booked a table at Bollywood Tiger for Friday 27th Oct especially to see Sal Bashir. Arrived at 8.30 to be told by a 'woman' that she has no booking & they were fully booked! After being told this I said I suggest you check your booking list - she checks it & says no nothing here! Umm look at the bottom - there is my name! She says we still don't have a table! Errr Not my problem! Jaks finally appears & we speak to him - he proceeds to tell us that there was a booking for a table of 10 & they turned up with 2 extra & still seated them! He says we will sort a table - after a 20 minute wait he & another member of staff are carrying a table from upstairs downstairs for us. But we booked a table upstairs where Sal Bashir will be. Jaks tells us Sal will be going up & down the stairs & when they clear the buffet upstairs we can have a table up there. 20 minutes later they have a table upstairs. We go upstairs & are put against the wall like an inconvenience. So the singing carries on & my friend & i look closely & come to the conclusion he is miming! Sal sits on my chair & sings but I could not hear words coming out of his mouth. This is so disappointing as we have seen him there twice before & no mining - why?

Anyway we leave at 11.30 & go & pay the bill - on leaving we hear the rude waitress at the bar Say "thank you ladies, do come again - Not! How bloody rude! - what did we do wrong?

As said before we have been here twice before to see Sal & had a great night but on this occasion we felt like an inconvenience! I hasten to add we shall not be rushing back!

very disappointed. we eat at the restaurant a lot and have had nothing but great food and outstanding service, but we ordered a curry as a delivery tonight and I'm not impressed at all. the order took over an hour and half and I phoned to chase it twice and each time was told the driver was on his way. when the food arrived it was cold and had no flavour to it at all, I would even go as far to say that it wasn't freshly cooked!! very disappointed as I say we eat at the restaurant a lot. I would hope to get an apology

We waited for 2 hours to get our order in the restaurant.. and then decided it's better to have a take away.. though its was not so busy today yet they could not make the meal for 2 people for 2 hours!!! horrible experience .. no recommendations at all!!

Such a shame as actually a really nice curry however it was a joke from start to finish!. At 8pm we order the curry for it to finally be delivered at 22.27pm after phoning them to inform them they had overcharged us by £3. They turned round and said they have a new menu and the prices aren't corrected on the internet ( if you check back over previous reviews it would appear they still haven't amended these prices from several months back and it's been mentioned about overcharging by others several times) but would personally drop me the £3 back tomorrow as we paid by card.

My argument being as yet we have not had our food delivered so either A. take my card details again and give me a refund or B.why not save yourself diesel tomorrow and give the driver the £3 to give to us upon delivering said food!



The owner Jaks then said no he can't do that as the drivers are out and about! I replied with yes but they will have to physically come in to the restaurant to get our order as we ordered only 5 minutes ago. After getting nowhere fast Jaks then hung up on me!



1 hour 40 minutes passed and still no curry so I called up and after 10 attempts I finally got through where I got told that the delivery was just leaving now, great I said you can also get the driver to bring the £3 he said yes ok.



30 minutes to travel from Yaxley to Stilton and we finally got our delivery and was greeted by a very sweet delivery driver who had clearly taken the brunt of a lot of people's frustration.



Upon opening the delivery we realised we were 8 poppodoms missing and shock horror no £3 with the delivery driver. The delivery driver called them from our door and he much like ourselves was unable to get an answer. It is now 22.54pm and I've tried 23 times to get thorough and no answer even though they are open till 11.30pm



May I add I am heaverly pregnant and highly raged rather than a lunatic despite my tenacious approach of calling this many times and I am now also suffering with heartburn and indigestion from eating this late!



So the £3 they initially owed me from overcharging me has now increased to £9 from no poppodoms



I think the chances of this £9 being hand delivered to our house tomorrow as originally offered by the boss Jaks himself are pretty slim if tonight is anything to go by..... I hope I am proved wrong!



Overall it really is such a shame as it was actually a really nice curry but unless you want a battle I would avoid this place!

Ordered from here this evening and I'm really surprised at how awful the food is, I ordered a chicken Bhuna meant to be medium spice? There was no spice to this whatsoever may as well of ordered a korma. It was also very watery, the pilau rice was very dry and the naan bread tasted like a cake it was very sweet and also quite tough! My partner really didn't rate his meal either said he definitely wouldn't go here again. We paid around £31 for this order the most we've ever spent on a takeaway but we had heard some good things so thought it may be worth it, but we are absolutely disappointed!! Would 100% avoid.

I'm not one to complain however, I went here for a meal last night & felt my experience was so bad some feedback would benefit this place.

The service was slow even though we were the only ones in there?!?! Food was not great & it was just my purse that paid the price!!!

Walked out feeling disappointed into a cloud of smoke courtesy of several of the staff standing right outside the entrance/exit smoking!!!!

Would not recommend!

Definetly worth while joining the chefs cooking course!

I went here recently for my birthday lunch and I can honestly say it was one of the best if not the best Indian meal I've ever had (and that includes having worked in leics for 2 years). Both my fiance and I are vegetarian and couldn't decide what to order off the menu so the owner (sorry can't remember his name) demonstrated his skill and knowledge by creating two fantastic dishes from scratch. All dishes are from traditional Indian family recipes and even the vegetables are home grown in their own allotment. I've eaten many times at all the Indian restaurants in Peterborough over the years and rest assured none of them even come close to the quality of food and service here. A real hidden gem in Yaxley and also perfect for vegetarians and vegans looking for a culinary delight!

Booked a table for 9 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and we all had a fabulous time, the staff were great and the food was lovely exceptional value for money and I would highly recommend it and we will definitely be going back.

Beautiful food in an amazing venue. Great for nights out and their party nights are not to be missed. Large selection on the food and drinks menu, inc cocktails. Wed banquet is excellent value and their Sun buffet is always a hit. Service used to let them down but this seems to have been rectified so def give 5* now.

To busy taking phone orders,waited 15mins for drinks at bar. Had to ask to be served, getting impatient by then. Taken to table, waited 20 mins for menus young girl that works there asked us 3 times if we've ordered. Meal came. Fantastic! Can't fault the meals one bit. Tried to put addictions to the bill that we never had. Shame! The place was extremely busy, which speaks volumes. On a funny side of things They have 2 young lads working there( twins ). It really does your head in lol

Ordered at 8.03 and was told that food be delivered with the hour... chased the order twice and it finally arrive at 940! The food was amazing.. just shame it was so late as we didn't really feel hungry by time it arrived. They promised to send gift voucher for next order so let's see what happens!!!

1st time here this evening and really enjoyed it. Tried different foods from the norm and it was all beautifully cooked. Coffee was not great so would not order that again but will definitely go back again. Looking forward to my next visits as I need to work my way through the extensive cocktail list. Would highly recommend to my friends and family

Will not be having a takeaway from here again, not only did we have to pay £5 more, as we supposedly had an out of date menu, but part of our meal was missed off, which was for a guest we had visiting, they agreed to deliver it, which came half an hour later, so of course the main meal was cold. disappointing as we have had issues in the past.

Booked a table at Bollywood Tiger for Friday 27th Oct especially to see Sal Bashir. Arrived at 8.30 to be told by a 'woman' that she has no booking & they were fully booked! After being told this I said I suggest you check your booking list - she checks it & says no nothing here! Umm look at the bottom - there is my name! She says we still don't have a table! Errr Not my problem! Jaks finally appears & we speak to him - he proceeds to tell us that there was a booking for a table of 10 & they turned up with 2 extra & still seated them! He says we will sort a table - after a 20 minute wait he & another member of staff are carrying a table from upstairs downstairs for us. But we booked a table upstairs where Sal Bashir will be. Jaks tells us Sal will be going up & down the stairs & when they clear the buffet upstairs we can have a table up there. 20 minutes later they have a table upstairs. We go upstairs & are put against the wall like an inconvenience. So the singing carries on & my friend & i look closely & come to the conclusion he is miming! Sal sits on my chair & sings but I could not hear words coming out of his mouth. This is so disappointing as we have seen him there twice before & no mining - why?

Anyway we leave at 11.30 & go & pay the bill - on leaving we hear the rude waitress at the bar Say "thank you ladies, do come again - Not! How bloody rude! - what did we do wrong?

As said before we have been here twice before to see Sal & had a great night but on this occasion we felt like an inconvenience! I hasten to add we shall not be rushing back!

very disappointed. we eat at the restaurant a lot and have had nothing but great food and outstanding service, but we ordered a curry as a delivery tonight and I'm not impressed at all. the order took over an hour and half and I phoned to chase it twice and each time was told the driver was on his way. when the food arrived it was cold and had no flavour to it at all, I would even go as far to say that it wasn't freshly cooked!! very disappointed as I say we eat at the restaurant a lot. I would hope to get an apology

We waited for 2 hours to get our order in the restaurant.. and then decided it's better to have a take away.. though its was not so busy today yet they could not make the meal for 2 people for 2 hours!!! horrible experience .. no recommendations at all!!

Such a shame as actually a really nice curry however it was a joke from start to finish!. At 8pm we order the curry for it to finally be delivered at 22.27pm after phoning them to inform them they had overcharged us by £3. They turned round and said they have a new menu and the prices aren't corrected on the internet ( if you check back over previous reviews it would appear they still haven't amended these prices from several months back and it's been mentioned about overcharging by others several times) but would personally drop me the £3 back tomorrow as we paid by card.

My argument being as yet we have not had our food delivered so either A. take my card details again and give me a refund or B.why not save yourself diesel tomorrow and give the driver the £3 to give to us upon delivering said food!



The owner Jaks then said no he can't do that as the drivers are out and about! I replied with yes but they will have to physically come in to the restaurant to get our order as we ordered only 5 minutes ago. After getting nowhere fast Jaks then hung up on me!



1 hour 40 minutes passed and still no curry so I called up and after 10 attempts I finally got through where I got told that the delivery was just leaving now, great I said you can also get the driver to bring the £3 he said yes ok.



30 minutes to travel from Yaxley to Stilton and we finally got our delivery and was greeted by a very sweet delivery driver who had clearly taken the brunt of a lot of people's frustration.



Upon opening the delivery we realised we were 8 poppodoms missing and shock horror no £3 with the delivery driver. The delivery driver called them from our door and he much like ourselves was unable to get an answer. It is now 22.54pm and I've tried 23 times to get thorough and no answer even though they are open till 11.30pm



May I add I am heaverly pregnant and highly raged rather than a lunatic despite my tenacious approach of calling this many times and I am now also suffering with heartburn and indigestion from eating this late!



So the £3 they initially owed me from overcharging me has now increased to £9 from no poppodoms



I think the chances of this £9 being hand delivered to our house tomorrow as originally offered by the boss Jaks himself are pretty slim if tonight is anything to go by..... I hope I am proved wrong!



Overall it really is such a shame as it was actually a really nice curry but unless you want a battle I would avoid this place!

Shocking service. Waiter more interested in talking about the chilli he grew that asking us what we wanted to eat. Never given a menu. Basically ignored and everything took forever to get ie 10 mins for a glass of water. Food was cold too.

Ordered from here this evening and I'm really surprised at how awful the food is, I ordered a chicken Bhuna meant to be medium spice? There was no spice to this whatsoever may as well of ordered a korma. It was also very watery, the pilau rice was very dry and the naan bread tasted like a cake it was very sweet and also quite tough! My partner really didn't rate his meal either said he definitely wouldn't go here again. We paid around £31 for this order the most we've ever spent on a takeaway but we had heard some good things so thought it may be worth it, but we are absolutely disappointed!! Would 100% avoid.

I'm not one to complain however, I went here for a meal last night & felt my experience was so bad some feedback would benefit this place.

The service was slow even though we were the only ones in there?!?! Food was not great & it was just my purse that paid the price!!!

Walked out feeling disappointed into a cloud of smoke courtesy of several of the staff standing right outside the entrance/exit smoking!!!!

Would not recommend!
