Report received regarding a Suspicious Male in the area of ENSBURY AVENUE, #Bournemouth
Male described as; White, teen, slicked-back light-brown hair, wearing all black including a black puffer style jacket.
Seen to knock on doors asking occupants if it is a #Student property? Also, seen holding leaflets making out that he is delivering in the area.
... He then tries to make conversation at the door, which could possibly be a distraction method.
Remember to lock back doors even when in your property. And of course to lock all doors and windows when you leave the property and when you go to bed at night.

Ian and Adam were out on campus today at Bournemouth University in plain clothes testing how many #students and #staff leave their belongings unattended.
Any items spotted we left a "security reminder card" behind warning that these items could had been stolen!
Although thefts on campus are uncommon we remind people not to become complacent and leave items unattended, even when popping away for a short time.
... Whilst out and about in #PooleHouse #StudentCentre and the #Library today for about an hour we spotted;
20 bags, 15 laptops and 8 mobile phones ...ALL left unattended!
Please don't become a victim of theft.

So far this year we have had 4 #Bikes stolen on Campus!
Please ensure you are using the cycle compounds where possible and a good high quality D-Lock. (NOT a cheap coil lock)
... Last year 15 bikes were also stolen, mainly in the months of March, October & December between the hours of 4pm - 8pm.
Although these numbers are low, compared to the number of students bringing bikes onto campus, we would like them to be LOWER! 🚲
