Went to the Open day at Breckland Leisure Centre Today it was fab, shame the rest of Thetford didn't go but myself and my friend had a fab time, First we did Body Pump; then Core Extreme and then went in the gym all for Free, Our Favourite Class was Body Pump with Pippa and we can't wait to go again, so thank you so much for having an open day and we could come and try classes ���

Part from the odd day where the pools are way to cold but still swimming wrams u up and the gym is really good so 5stars from me and its easy to get to as i dont drive and school holiday clubs are a big help with 3 kids and staff are aways there to help :-)

I run Judo competitions at this venue and the staff and the facilities are great, I have traveled all over the country to sports halls and have to say I think our one is the best. It's clean and bright no problem parking and the catering is not a rip off

First visit today well we loved it .my boys enjoyed the wave pool and the water slide .

It's so much better than Diss . The price to get in was worth it .clean and tidy changing rooms. Can't wait to come back highly recommended.

Eastern area judo would like to thank Nathan and his team for all there help in setting up the bowls hall for our judo competition today

Also the officials asked me to pass on their thanks for the lunch supplied today

This all went to us able to run another successful event

Big thanks to Jess in fitness suite, started my programme today and she has given me just what I needed, also classes with Karen are simply the best at getting me motivated and keeping me going x

I have been swimming at Breckland Leisure Centre for the past 25 years plus and I have to say that the entire facility has been vastly improved over the past few years. Now that the � Toilets have been over - hauled, the cleanliness can't be faulted. Further, by encouraging all swimmers and spectators to remove outdoor shoes before entering the changing rooms, the whole area is free from grit, dirt and mud and thus hygienic.

All members of staff are efficient, helpful and kind. However, the temperature of the showers can be a bit volatile but on the whole generally acceptable. I have swum in many different pools all over U.K over many years and I can honestly say that Breckland Leisure Centre is one of the very best. Thank you to everyone concerned.

Clean, great waves, lovely rapids and a flume. Would be perfect if only they heated the main pool more. Couldn’t bring myself to go in it was that cold!

Receptionist was rude and fun pool seemed to off had a leak?! The water was really reduced compared to previous visits (didn't even cover the shallow end activities) but we weren't informed of this on arrival. We weren't the only ones to notice this as a few comments where made by people.

My son has Aquazone and private swimming classes here. The learner pool is freezing, his lips go blue and he shivers throughout his lessons. How he manages to concentrate i don't know. There is no way that pool is 28/29 degrees. Turn the heating up!!! The changing rooms are ok but the toilets are horrendous, its dirty and has holes in the ceiling. The whole place even the carpark needs refurbishing! The only reason I'm saving this by giving it 3* is that his swimming instructor Rachel is amazing!

Also to new girl Vicky on reception - you did amazing tonight especially when the queue was so long and your duty manager just upped and abandoned you!

My daughter has swimming lessons. However i have now cancelled as the group is just too large. On her last lesson which is supposed to be half an hour, she didn't get even get to get into the water until 20 minutes into the lesson. The group was doing their 200 meters and as there were so many of them in such a small space they had to wait for their turn. My daughter​ was freezing​ waiting for her turn. In the end there were so many of them in such a small space they kept banging into each other. The instructors​ are fantastic​, but as groups are now so large, they are not able to spend enough time with each individual​ child. Not to happy paying for a half​ hour swimming lesson​, only for my daughter to spend only 10 minutes​ in the water. My daughter also isn't making progress​ anymore. Yet again she hasn't moved up. This would have been the 3rd time in a row of being stuck in the same group, which has been​ very demoralising​ for her. She was in tears at yet again not moving up. If your going​ to have such​ large class​ sizes, at least give them enough room in the pool.

We visited the pool with our children. The pools themselves are great, the wave pool and slide were a real hit. It's such a shame that it's so cold. After 5 mins we were all shivering. We didn't last long. It took us longer to drive there than we spent inside the building. We won't be hurrying back.

Just tried to take my boys swimming only to be turned away by reception saying it was lane swimming only & we couldn’t use the learning pool. Walking past the window there were at least 6 people in the learning pool so why can’t we use it? Go to Burry pool.

I pay full membership each month, yet every time I have been for a swim this year I have had a wasted journey. The online timetables are just not accurate.



Spoken to the manager Richard Savory in the past, and manage he can’t! They won’t even cancel my membership for me now �

I was using the swimming lessons for 4 years previously. The changing rooms are in terrible condition. The lessons are large groups and not always of good standard. My daughter was in the same class for 2 years. Anyway I left January 2016 due to poor organisational skills. Trying to get 2 children in classes at similar times was getting more and more difficult. I had rebooked, turned up, and had a very disappointed 5 year old. We turned up at 5.30 expecting a lesson, to be told he was booked into a later class, which we couldn't make.



Now I'm looking for lessons again (having been elsewhere for a while) I called up a couple of weeks ago and was told they would be having assessments this weekend. Off we went, given a number and told to wait (upto 2 hours). Our number was called (1 hour). It is just and enrolment session (no swimming involved). Explained I wanted stage 3 and immediately told "we have no space in stage 3"

Great that wasted 1 hour of my life. Organisation has not improved 1 bit in the last 18 months.

I have been to this pool a few times and have never been satisfied with this pool. I visited yesterday with my family who have travelled nearly six hours to visit us and I was so ashamed to be frank. The changing rooms were awful, the toilets smelt so bad I didn’t even use them. I had two small children with me at the time and did not think the cleanliness and condition of the changing rooms were acceptable. Also the pool said had said that the public swim was on when I checked the website, got there and the pool had a private hire so was only able to use the baby pool and main pool (which is freezing) it was more disappointing knowing that we had to pay full price to get in just to use half the pool, it’s way over priced. It would have been worth paying for a day pass at centre parcs than go here .. Will not be going again.

Filthy, cold baby pool... please don’t take a baby to the swimming pool it’s not good at all!!!

DON'T GO!!!!! the baby pool is freezing cold.the changing rooms are filthy,smelly and locks broke.the loos are filthy,loos stuffed with loo paper,dirty nappies.the floor is slimy and yuk.loads of the lockers are broke.the staff have attitude.not helpful at all.there is nothing good to say.

DO NOT sign up to the gym on a 12 month contract. My wife did this and sadly lost her job so could no longer afford to pay for it. We contacted them and explained the situation but they still demanded the outstanding balance. They have cancelled the contract since and now sending letters demanding the balance. They won't help at except for taking smaller monthly payments. Talk about wanting money for nothing......
