We were a party of 6 plus a 3 year old. All staff were helpful and polite and the food was excellent

Came for breakfast as I heard such good things and was very impressed, the food was lovely especially the sausages. My 2 daughter's got to eat for free. The service was especially fantastic especially one member in a red coat who seated us , helped with high chair and was very attentive and friendly even at a busy time , I wish I could name her. Will definitely be back.

Been twice now. Once for breakfast which was absolutely divine and then again for lunch which was also just as good. Very friendly staff and see to your every need. Will definitely be going again very soon

We went for breakfast yesterday 6/8/17

Plenty to choose from and something for everyone. Food came out hot and plentiful (may have had to wait a few mins for restock but hey!)

It was very busy and I can only put that down to the fact The Oaks is joined to a Premier Inn and near Norwich airport, and it seemed there may have been a lunchtime flight 🙂

Kids 15 and under also eat free which is great when you have lil piggies like ours 😂

Will be happy to go back for breakfast.

50 mins and still no sign of any food. I’m wasting away Sal!

We went yesterday 7/3/18 just went for the chef's menu, which I've wanted to try for ages but never could get there on the Wednesday, so I was looking forward to my hotdogs. Was very disappointed as they were just luke warm, same as chips. Rolls were hard and dry. It was all very disappointing won't be going again

Missed the curry night was told night before it wud fin at 8 30pm got there at 8 was told couldn't have any yet it was all sat there under the hot plate. Really !

User

Was sat near toilets which was dimly lit. Appeared all families who have a baby were seated here! I had the burger pie....was v dissapointtee as the meat was so overcook and lacked flavour. My 2 year olds cod was overdone and she didn't touch it. Not going back in a hurry.

Usually love going to The Oaks with family, however last night 13/07 was a disaster, we ordered food at 17.55 pm it finally arrived an hour & 15 mins later, everyone else got their meals and mine took another 15 mins, I ordered the chicken & bacon salad, the bacon was like cardboard, you couldn't get a fork into it let alone a knife cutting it, my partner had fish and chips and the fish was dry. Hopefully next time we come it will be an improvement.

Came for the festive menu last night with my family. Unfortunately the food was awful. The carvery had obviously been sat out for ages. The turkey was the dregs of the bird, the stuffing was rock hard and the potatoes were swimming in grease. Would have expected it if were were late eating but this was 6pm. Disappointed.

Been going there for Christmas meal with colleagues for 3 years now and the food is nice and it's a good time usually but this year the food didn't taste good, the turkey dinner had hardly any sides with it and we were told to leave the table at 8 cause it was booked for others. We booked it for 5 and they started serving at 6... So maybe if they didn't make us wait an hour... Not a good experience!

2nd July. Ordered 2 ultimate burgers the burgers were burnt chips cold and the coleslaw nasty. Wasted £30 . Won't be returning

User

Waited for around 55 minutes for the mains to arrive, was busy but what a wait

Food wasn't too bad when it finally arrived. We decided to order a dessert thinking no cooking involved so shouldn't take so long but had to wait another 45 minutes for it to arrive. I had a tiny piece of cheesecake and my wife had the chocolate trifle which was squirty cream and bland chocolate.

All in all we were there for around 2 and a 1/2 hours. Not pleasant.

User

Waited ages for food after we ordered. Ordered 2 vegan burgers but they only had one left. The food was either hard or cold. If I was chef there I’d be embarrassed to send out food like that. Only good thing was the waitress who was dealing with us.

Today may 12th 2018, i went here for my dads birthday, we chose to sit outside at first which started off nice, when it started to rain we orderd our food at 1pm, then we went in to sit inside and we waited 2hrs for our food, the restraunt wasnt that busy at all. After our meals we asked to speak with the manager on how long our food took, we also noticed that when we asked the waitress she wouldnt come and tell us how long our food was going to take and also noticed they would go to different tables instead of focusing on 1 table at a time. Very very poor servicing and wouldnt reccomend it to anyone. I defantly wont eat theyre again. 1/10 votes for me!!

User

The manager Andy was rude when the order came out wrong - no apology. Food was awful. The waitress Poppy was lovely - shame about the rest of it! Disappointed!!

User

The evening fish & chip Buffett was awful

Over cooked crispy tiny fish pieces, cold fishcakes, horrible sausage, cold food , been there ages chips, no chicken at all on Buffett anymore. Generally poor, dissatisfied.... won’t be back in a hurry, dry and horrid

One plate of food was way enough , didn’t get our monies worth at all

The food was really really poor £30 wasted

Only giving 1 starcas there is no option to give zero stars.. Disappointed to find no eat all you can breakfast as Monday to Friday you have to order as often as you want from kitchen meaning choice to look at food and feel tempted has gone. Also makes you feel you cannot order as much as you want to eat. Pre booked for party of 10 yet no table reserved staff sparse and rude. Manager had the cheek to ask what I said to him across the restaurant thinking I would not repeat it I did and here's what I said "please don't make your drama our problem we booked for a nice peaceful breakfast" Bananas were past thier best and orange juice almost run out. On top of this to get to the toilet you had to grapple with chairs that blocked off the toilet and restaurant area. Bad management skills and a -10 in customer service skills. We won't be visiting here again for an over priced under delivered breakfast!

User

Main food was nice but the dessert was shocking paid 4 pound for the smallest piece of treacle sponge and didn't even come with custard.
