Wildlife Update! It has been a few weeks since the last update, our beautiful Pen and her Cygnets have ventured into the main lake since then! Over the coming months they will turn brown, turning white after at least a year. We will keep you updated with their progress.

We have been honoured by the presence of a group of Chinese Buddhist Monks during the past month. They have been performing one of the greatest rituals in Chinese Buddhism – The Liberation Rite of Water and Land, which dates back to 505 AD.
It is one of the most elaborate services and it is extremely rare, having never been done in Europe before. The Ballroom at Brocket Hall and Oak Room at Brocket Hall Golf Club were decorated in the splendour of this most ancient tradition, with the Monks performing the ritual over the course of 7 days and nights.

Just had my fabulous 50 birthday party last night at Brocket Hall. My husband and Clare organised the whole thing fantastically well. We stayed at Melbourne lodge and the room was wonderfully large. Sufficiently large enough for both the hairdresser and makeup lady to do their thing. Thanks again to Clare for making it so special.

Just had Sunday lunch to celebrate Wedding Anniversary- superb food and excellent service - Best meal I have had for a long time - restores confidence in dining out!

Just completed and enjoyed, after a few months planning, a wonderful 50th Birthday Bash for my wife at the Oak Room.

Clare Miller worked very well and communicated frequently, keeping me in the loop and, knowing how fussy ish I can be, ensuring all was ok.

Staff were pleasant and did their thing well. Guests had a fab time. (Check my Fb posts!)

From start to finish Clare was a true professional who I am glad to have helping me and who I can now call a friend.

Great venue. Lovely accommodation too. Large rooms (even the high hurdle baths!)

The meal we had at Auberge Du Lac was exceptional. This morning we explored the grounds and Melbourne golf course. It's beautiful. I'm inspired to improve my golf so I can play it. It would have been the perfect end to the trip.

I have booked my wedding for July 2017 at Brocket Hall. I have Clare Miller who has been helping me plan and co-ordinate my wedding. Clare is highly professional, efficient, kind, understanding and enthusiastic. She has made wedding planning an absolute dream considering this is supposed to be a stressful time! I can't recommend her enough and I am so excited to see all our plans come together next summer. Thank you so much Clare for being totally wonderful :-) xx p.s. she is also good a group hugs

I had my 1st visit to Brocket hall on Saturday and played the Palmerston course. Excellent condition and a great test of golf, now in my top 5.

Fantastic place with a lot of history. Top restaurant and if you can play golf you are in heaven.

As a Traditional Wedding Toastmaster I would like say what a delightful and romantic venue Brocket Hall is. There are three locations to choose and surrounded in the most picturesque grounds. An impeccable team will ensure your Wedding Day will be most memorable and relaxing.

Absolutely wonderful grounds. Food was great. Even though on the post-Christmas diet, the Superfood Salad was amazing. The teenage boys loved the experience, just wished we had more time to experience the golf and the main restaurant, especially if the club house food was so great!

Absolutely unique wedding venue. Helped and guided by the wedding co-ordination team, our wedding day was wonderfully memorable. We know friends of ours who paid a similar amount to marry at a hotel and another function was going on and it spoilt the occasion . Here, it is yours exclusively and you feel like Royalty. Thank you belatedly to you all at Brocket Hall !

A truly 5 star experience where the guests are received and pampered by the very best professionally trained Butlers, in full control of your every requirement, complimented by the equally professional Wedding and Event Organisers giving you a completely relaxed and enjoyable stay to remember forever.

2 great courses, different but equally challenging. Georgina the bartender very friendly and alway serving with a smile . Lovely venue for a golf break in the English countryside

....but remember that the 900 or so members have had their membership cancelled by Dieter Klostermann - the Director of the Jersey company who owns the lease and issued Life Memberships until 2056.



Dieter Klostermann who has overseen the running and demise of this Club has left hundreds of local creditors out of pocket while having transferred £8m to his Jersey co.



Klostermann has now re-emerged debt-free as a Director (as has Jim Moore) of the new company presumably hoping that the members will just walk away and forget the friendships and in some cases the lifetimes work that has gone into making this Club what it was.



They need to think again.

Good clubhouse and facilities.



Gets very windy at times almost 2/3 club lengths in places. Summer months the place is stunning.



Greens are good.



Food is good.



Visitors lockers are small but bathroom facilities are new.

The cream tea we went for was nice but very expensive. Would of been nice to see other parts of the house afterwards.

Living on it's past reputation

Yesterday had a surprise Afternoon Tea in the stunning Ballroom for a significant "shush" Birthday � Celebration. Brocket Hall is a beautiful venue. A welcoming smile from Adam Treloar and eager to assist. Hospitality was excellent and the afternoon was topped by an open house look around the hall. Thank you for a lovely afternoon everyone.

Went to Brocket Hall for Valentine's Day. Every course was amazing and the service was exceptional!

We were delighted to share Naomi and Stephen's wedding weekend in such a beautiful setting. Wonderful food, lovely rooms,marvellous , helpful staff and the service was fantastic. A big thank you to all for helping to make this a truly memorable occasion.

Always a great experience

Just had my fabulous 50 birthday party last night at Brocket Hall. My husband and Clare organised the whole thing fantastically well. We stayed at Melbourne lodge and the room was wonderfully large. Sufficiently large enough for both the hairdresser and makeup lady to do their thing. Thanks again to Clare for making it so special.

Just had Sunday lunch to celebrate Wedding Anniversary- superb food and excellent service - Best meal I have had for a long time - restores confidence in dining out!

Just completed and enjoyed, after a few months planning, a wonderful 50th Birthday Bash for my wife at the Oak Room.

Clare Miller worked very well and communicated frequently, keeping me in the loop and, knowing how fussy ish I can be, ensuring all was ok.

Staff were pleasant and did their thing well. Guests had a fab time. (Check my Fb posts!)

From start to finish Clare was a true professional who I am glad to have helping me and who I can now call a friend.

Great venue. Lovely accommodation too. Large rooms (even the high hurdle baths!)

If you want to play golf in Herts there aren't many top courses. Thankfully Brocket Hall is one (or two) of them

Brocket Hall has been run exceptionally well on every occasion I have had the pleasure of visiting. The head Butler Allan keeps a "tight ship" and his and his teams attention to detail is excellent.



I thoroughly recommend it as a venue.

I have just returned from an excellent trip to Brocket Hall. We stayed in Melbourne Lodge and the room was very comfortable and a lovely size with stunning views over the parkland. The meal we had at Auberge Du Lac was exceptional. This morning we explored the grounds and Melbourne golf course. It's beautiful. I'm inspired to improve my golf so I can play it. It would have been the perfect end to the trip.

I have booked my wedding for July 2017 at Brocket Hall. I have Clare Miller who has been helping me plan and co-ordinate my wedding. Clare is highly professional, efficient, kind, understanding and enthusiastic. She has made wedding planning an absolute dream considering this is supposed to be a stressful time! I can't recommend her enough and I am so excited to see all our plans come together next summer. Thank you so much Clare for being totally wonderful :-) xx p.s. she is also good a group hugs

I had my 1st visit to Brocket hall on Saturday and played the Palmerston course. Excellent condition and a great test of golf, now in my top 5.

Fantastic place with a lot of history. Top restaurant and if you can play golf you are in heaven.

As a Traditional Wedding Toastmaster I would like say what a delightful and romantic venue Brocket Hall is. There are three locations to choose and surrounded in the most picturesque grounds. An impeccable team will ensure your Wedding Day will be most memorable and relaxing.

Absolutely wonderful grounds. Food was great. Even though on the post-Christmas diet, the Superfood Salad was amazing. The teenage boys loved the experience, just wished we had more time to experience the golf and the main restaurant, especially if the club house food was so great!

Absolutely unique wedding venue. Helped and guided by the wedding co-ordination team, our wedding day was wonderfully memorable. We know friends of ours who paid a similar amount to marry at a hotel and another function was going on and it spoilt the occasion . Here, it is yours exclusively and you feel like Royalty. Thank you belatedly to you all at Brocket Hall !

A truly 5 star experience where the guests are received and pampered by the very best professionally trained Butlers, in full control of your every requirement, complimented by the equally professional Wedding and Event Organisers giving you a completely relaxed and enjoyable stay to remember forever.

2 great courses, different but equally challenging. Georgina the bartender very friendly and alway serving with a smile . Lovely venue for a golf break in the English countryside

....but remember that the 900 or so members have had their membership cancelled by Dieter Klostermann - the Director of the Jersey company who owns the lease and issued Life Memberships until 2056.



Dieter Klostermann who has overseen the running and demise of this Club has left hundreds of local creditors out of pocket while having transferred £8m to his Jersey co.



Klostermann has now re-emerged debt-free as a Director (as has Jim Moore) of the new company presumably hoping that the members will just walk away and forget the friendships and in some cases the lifetimes work that has gone into making this Club what it was.



They need to think again.

2 good courses. Palmerston- woodland and Melbourne- water

Good clubhouse and facilities.



Gets very windy at times almost 2/3 club lengths in places. Summer months the place is stunning.



Greens are good.



Food is good.



Visitors lockers are small but bathroom facilities are new.

The cream tea we went for was nice but very expensive. Would of been nice to see other parts of the house afterwards.
