I’ve been sewing on and off for almost 30 years and took it up seriously again just before my youngest was born. He was in cloth nappies at 10 weeks old and I found that none of his clothes would fit. After making for a quite a few months for him I was asked by a few people if I would make to sell, so ButtonsHippo was born in June 2017!
We love to make bright,colourful and comfy baby and children’s clothing (I say ‘We’ as my children are often asked their views on colour matches) The majority are made from cotton lycra jersey,French terry (looped back sweat) fleece backed sweat and some from woven fabrics. I do have some in stock ready to post items you can find the album in the photos section,most items are custom made to order.
We offer a wide range of products to suit all from leggings to dungas, sleepsuits to bodysuits. I make from start to finish, I cut,sew, press , wrap and pack your order 🙂
We make for Birth up to around 12 years with some items even available in Adult sizes. We offer a wide variety of fabrics with most being limited amounts as I do not buy in bulk, additional costs apply to custom and organic fabrics.
