We have been running our Business Woman’s Network monthly meetings at Caistor Hall for over 7 years. I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful and always a warm welcome. We love the Garden Room with beautiful views across the lawn and in the wintertime they even light a log fire for us. The tea, coffee and cakes always go down well. The room is set out so beautifully for us. Such a lovely location to come and take time out of the office and meet fellow business people.

When we had lunch here the food was absolutely amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely environment as well. Thank you to all at Caistor Hall for looking after me and The Business Woman’s Network so well.

Our wedding in September was incredible. I can't believe how much the staff care and how passionate they are about the hotel. They really couldn't do enough for us and we are so unbelievable happy with everything and wouldn't change anything in the world. I am very particular and set in my ways and Jenna is Wonder Woman she really impressed me and catered to all our needs and she works so hard! Thank you all so much! X

Our wedding day was a huge success at Caistor Hall! The staff were friendly, helpful and the food was delicious. We had dinner there the night before with our friends and family, and everyone enjoyed the laid back atmosphere before the big day. The day of the wedding ran smoothly and went too quickly! Thank you to everyone who played a part, we will remember that day forever.

Kind regards,

Mr and Mrs Blackwell xx

Love the place. We have stayed in the room with Jacuzzi before and returned today for mothers day meal. Drove from Felixstowe and weren't disappointed. The food was lovely and the place is gorgeous as ever. Staff are lovely. Had a fab time. We will be back.. might be another 3 years but we will be back

User

I love coming here for Sunday lunch, the staff are so nice and the food is always excellent.

User

Had a club awards dinner for 32. Food and service both excellent. Staff were attentive and polite. Chef David was brilliant with choices and quality. Mince pies to die for 😀

User

Great stay,

Really friendly staff who go above and beyond,

The food is unbelievably good too

User

Great Sunday lunch with friends. Good food. Service a wee bit slow but understandable due to a table of loud, rude adults and unruly children next to us.

Desserts were amazing. We will be back!

Caistor Hall Hotel is a wonderful place tucked away in the countryside not far from Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Cromer. It is a lovely building with beautiful surrounding gardens. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Staff very friendly and attentive. Special mention - Nicola, Aiden and our waitress. Could not fault any of the staff though as all we dealt with did a splendid job. Our room was spacious and clean. Food delicious and plentiful. We definitely recommend and will be returning sometime in the future.

As a wedding photographer working at Caistor Hall recently I just have to say how impressed I was with the way that the management and staff looked after the couple and all their guests from the very beginning to the end of the day. Even though they had been busy with a previous wedding the day before I felt they made it look like this one was the only one, and therefore made it special. In addition, they looked after myself and my assistant in the same way that they looked after the guests. Book them! I would!

User

Amazing !! Wendy at Caistor Hall, (our toastmaster/duty manager) has been absolutely superb! Nothing too much trouble, catered for what we wanted, and she listens to what you want to do! Always went the extra mile.. hats off to all the staff who worked tirelessly!

The food was pure quality, the venue is ideal, beautifully set up - decent room, mega comfy bed..

Perfect hangover breakfast too!

After getting married at Caistor Hall 10 years ago, we had 40th birthday party for my wife Jody in April 2018.

The staff were so helpful in getting ready, managing the bar, greeting our guests and tidying afterwards.

Nothing was too much trouble and they were always very proactive and didn’t need to be asked to do things.

A very special thank you to Julie, Hayden and Alexandra for all your help, we had a wonderful evening to mark a very special occasion.

User

We spent a night here celebrating our wedding anniversary last weekend. The room was lovely and the hot tub was amazing but the hotel looks very tired and needs doing up.

The food we had for dinner was lovely although they only had 1 chicken breast left even though they were extremely quiet, so my husband had to order something else.

We ordered afternoon tea the next day and were extremely disappointed with it. The bread was stale and the sandwiches tasted like they had been made the day before. The cakes were tasteless apart from the scones and the coffee was terrible. We were surprised how bad the afternoon tea was as the dinner the previous night was so good.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. We just think the hotel is let down by things which are easy to fix, like ordering in enough chicken and making fresh sandwiches.

User

We all went here for Mother’s Day lunch!... 6 in total

We enjoyed it very much do not understand why there were not many bookings? Yes, looking at the hotel from outside I would agree it needs a good revamp /makeover but would recommend to family and friends!

User

We had our firms Christmas party there the food was excellent and plenty of it , we stayed the night but unfortunately we wouldn’t stay again . Our room was very dusty and both the shower and bath were dirty and to top it of we had no hot water to have either in the morning !!!!!

Young lady was very apologetic but it really isn’t good enough ,

User

After a lengthy trip from Liverpool I was left waiting for half an hour as they didn't know which room was ours. Tried to then charge an extra ten pounds for an extra bed even tho the room had already been paid for.

50th birthday party and they ran out of draft beer half way through. Then tried to charge 4 pound a bottle for San Miguel even they offered 2 for a fiver to other customer. I was told no when I asked for the same deal. When checking out they then asked for full payment again even tho the room had already been paid for. Rooms needed a bit of TLC, tatty round the edges.

User

You hosted my wedding on the 16th September this year and I really wanted to email you to say how amazing it was unfortunately it wasn't so instead I thought I would email you with a list of things that ruined my day instead.

When I arrived at the hotel on the Friday the staff at reception were very helpful and friendly tho they knew nothing about me coming to set up or the room i had booked, the young lady on the reception was great and sorted out the mistake quickly POSITIVE!!!

I went to the marquee to set up to find it was dirty they floor was soaking wet and covered in slugs, I made your team aware of this and they assured me it would be cleaned and heaters put on to dry the floor out, the lady said the storm had broken the marquee a few nights ago which I know can not be helped.

the rest of the day/evening went well

The following morning (Wedding morning) i went to breakfast this was nice, I was then told by my bridesmaid and mothering law that they had both had to sleep in coats as there was no heating in their room (it had been put in my room)

I went back to my room to get ready

around 10am I get told by a member of staff that all the balloons has gone down due to the cold, what i wasn't told at the time was it was so cold because the marquee heating hand not been put on. So the £60 helium and balloons were wasted as they had to be taken down.

Toastmaster came to collect me dressed like he was going to a funeral not a red toastmaster outfit

at the ceremony I realised no music was playing it took 15 mins to find a member of staff to find out what was going on and by the time we got any music we were walking out.

I told your staff months ago I am t-total but at the end of the ceremony I was given Prosecco ???

We went to mingle and take photos at this point I was told by the groom he had just been to the bar and was charged for his drinks I paid £200 in advance for the Groom, best man, bridesmaid, dj and singer to use, I had to go get my phone and pull up a copy of the invoice to show I had already paid this

I noticed while photos were being taken my wishing well was in the wrong place so i asked the toast master to move it, he said it would be done when we have the meal. when I cant back after the meal I found my photographer had been chasing people to get it moved at it was only done as i was walking back over.

Into the Marquee we walked in to find it was so cold everyone was in coats including myself, I paid for a jug of juice to be put on each table for the kids it wasn't there I again chased the toastmaster and got 3 jugs (I would like the others refunded)

the first course of food came out and was stone cold, 1hr later the next course came out again cold we sent the kids ones back as the chips were that cold they had gone soggy. 1.5hrs later the last course came out again cold.

The ladies toilets were blocked and smelt horrible we were left with just one toilet which the lock didn't work on.

The floor had not been dried and water was still pouring in we were sitting in a puddle mine and my mothers dress soaked most of it up for you as the staff just said there was nothing they could do. (my mum was in tears as it ruined her dress) the wedding party moved the top table and then the kids had fun playing in the puddle.

The food as well as being cold also contained strings in the meat and people complained they were not given any gravy (Me included) about 10 people were not given a dessert which again i had to chase to get.

The bar was not staffed at any point people went without drinks the whole time.

the toast drinks were given out, I made your staff aware months ago most of the people were non drinkers went they asked for a non alcoholic toast they waitress's said no as they didn't have time to go over and get anything I was given WATER!!!! (Again I would like some of this refunded as nearly half my guests didn't have a toast drink)

we had to cut the speeches short as everyone at this point was turning to ice.

Off to the reception. The toilets next to the bar stank this could even be smelt upstairs. again a problem with the bar tab had to convince the staff again i had already paid this. the evening buffet came out i personally didn't try any of it was I was put off by my previous meal but I was told the bread was stale the burgers were given back as they were not cooked through and the sausages were cold.

the dance hall was dirty even tho I was assured it would be cleaned.

I enjoyed the rest of the night until bedtime

me and my new husband went up to our honeymoon suite room 426 we opened the door and the smell of mould and damp was over whelming, we turned on the jacuzzi saw the sign about the hot water taking time so we sat and read some cards, 45mins later we turned it off no hot water when turning it off we noticed there was a used plaster in the bottom of it and the buttons were all broken off so it probs wouldn't of worked anyway. in the morning after sleeping on what I am sure was a straw mattress i went to have a shower 1hr later I turned off the water and decided to pack up and go home still no hot water.

down at breakfast all the guests complained at how cold all the rooms were and this time the food was not great and cold.

at checkout i found my bridesmaid asking me what bill she was paying as she had a bar tab (THIS WAS PRE PAID!!!!!) and then I found out she was given my bridal suite (That i paid for for MY wedding night)

That just topped off my already screwed up weekend

so all in all i can say it was a massive waste of money i feel i have been let down i will not recommend you to anyone.

It has been 6 months since my complaint and I have called and email numerous time but still have not received so much As a sorry

User

Room was okay, but food was terrible as I asked for vegetarian option even though at the time of check in I was told there would be decent choice. The food took ages to come and server even said herself the food didn't look very appetising. Mine was gnocchi in butternut squash sauce, absolutely stoggy and apple crumble was so full of sugar I could not taste neither Apple nor crumble. So would not recommend it. This morning for breakfast I asked for hash browns beans tomatoes and toast. Got just warm tea and breakfast without toast.

Not ever going back there
