Well Summer flew by! Now we are nearly in to September so here is a list of acts that will keep you smiling and laughing as the nights grow chillier. Don't forget as well as these superb visiting artists we still have some brilliant Trouper productions and Cabarets, and we finish the month with our Park Finals, an event definitely not to be missed. :)

It is nearly September which means Park Finals is just around the corner.....

This Bank Holiday Sunday come along and join us for a great day of fun. We start at 12pm with our Trouper Sweepstakes, a fun, light hearted, race night inspired event where you can see which Trouper is best at our challenges and who will win you some Sparky dollars. That will be followed by a great line up in the night time including, Starland Krazy, Trouper POP show, Madness 'n' Mayhem, Trouper show time with "The Showmen" and our star act from TVs X factor and Winner of Dancing on Ice, JAKE QUICKENDEN. A day not to be missed.

Important information for all our owners. If you are on the list for passes and haven't had them yet you need to bring in a passport size photo and Debbie would sort this for you. As of the end of August Debbie will no longer be doing paper passes.

This Saturday night Trouper Alan will be doing a nice chilled cabaret in the boathouse at 10pm come along and join him

So the WAW Wrestling came to an unexpected conclusion on Sunday :)

Well the sun is out, people are here and it can mean only 1 thing, it's nearly August! We have an amazing line for you with some great headline acts and events. Including Kids favourites Kate & MimMim and the Legend that is SOOTY. Plus from X Factor, I'm a Celebrity and Dancing on Ice the brilliant Jake Quickenden. not to mention all the other top class acts, Trouper Shows and activities. Phew it's gonna be a scorcher :)

So summer is in full swing and we have some great activities lined up. Each Sunday evening will be Pyjama party night and each Thursday will be fancy dress night :) so make sure you come along to the Clifftops showbar and join in the fun

We have just spent the last 5 days here and we have loved it, caravan was lovely, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming (especially the happy Barman!) didn’t get his name and the entertainment was fab . It’s a short walk to the beach and a short drive into Great Yarmouth so a good all round location! all in all we have really enjoyed our stay! Will defo be looking to rebook � thank u California cliffs �

Use to go here when I was little with family. Went from 7th of may till the 11th of may this year with my partner and our little boy. And I have to say nothing has changed much at all. It's still a great experience and my little boy loved every minute whilst we were there. He loved all the entertainers and he especially loved Sparkles. All in all a fantastic holiday and I hope to come back again soon.

Stayed for 7 nights, this is our last night. I came here with my husband and 2 children. Just want to say how fantastic California cliffs is, caravan is stunning and the entertainment was amazing, we all loved it, not just for kids it's also for adults. What a beautiful place it is. We are over the moon with our holiday and we will definitely be coming here again next year. A mahoosive Thank you to all the staff at California cliffs for making our stay a memorable one.

My family and I absolutely loved it. We attends sparkles birthday party with our little girl of 23 month and she had a wail of a time . She joined in on pass the parcel and won some awesome shoe laces that made her day I think .

Entertainment was really fantastic the entertainers work so so hard .

Everything was just magical didn't want to leave . We shall be back .

Just can back from a weeks staff totally loved the site plenty to do just wanted to stay how lovely ur staff where in the kids clubs my girls loved them all never enjoyed our self so much and it’s down to all it lovely staff in the kids clubs and the evening entertainment haven’t laughed so much and I looked forward to the evening entertainment with the kids xx

It's not easy to get the kids/adult balance right when you take five children (age range 4-14) on a caravan holiday for a week. Usually I'm so busy making sure the kids are having a great time that there's no time to chill and properly unwind myself. The entertainment team here are SO focused on making sure everyone, adults and children alike, are having a great time - they are undoubtedly the reason I've come back from a holiday feeling rested (and in need of a detox!) for the first time in years.



But something's missing since we were last here 5 years ago and I still can't put my finger on what it is. The entertainment team are undoubtedly dedicated to Parkdean Resorts, but it kind of feels like Parkdean Resorts isn't really that dedicated to its staff, or holidaymakers, in return. Kind of feels like it's a machine that's become a bit complacent about how much effort is needed to deliver a decent holiday. If it wasn't for the many personal touches from the entertainment team, bar staff, lifeguards, arcade guy, shop, reception etc, this holiday could have been a bit....meh.



Previous reviews have mentioned how many caravans have been squeezed into the park and in places that's true. Whole sections of road are impassable due to empty vans, which is inconvenient and kind of claustrophobic. And some parts of the park feel like they're in need of a spruce up. But everywhere was clean and comfortable so can't knock it.



If you're thinking of booking, don't be put off by some of the bad reviews. This is an absolute gem of a place to come on holiday. It's proper holiday park stuff - bingo, games, party dances (party dances in the pool is definitely one to catch!), cabaret...plus an endless programme of activities during the day. The small team who are fun and enthusiastic during the morning kids clubs are the same guys who are still delivering top quality entertainment late into the night. I really hope that their hard work and talent (some of these guys really do have great talent that appears to be overlooked) is recognised, rewarded and nurtured before they decide to move elsewhere instead...this holiday park would definitely struggle to 'Create Amazing Memories' without them.



Can't wait for next year!

Had such a wonderful time here again. Ignore the bad reviews. We arrived sat and and came home today (Tuesday) as per usual staff were amazing and friendly, and are so good with my food allergies. Couldn't ask for better as they go above and beyond to make sure food is safe for me to eat. Entertainment staff were great and very friendly. Enjoyed it so much that we are now proud owners of a caravan. So thank you again Grace. Can't wait to go back now xx

We have just returned home from another holiday with parkdean for the 4th time with our little boy.

On arrival very friendly, was told we can use he facilities whilst we waited to check in.

Caravan was clean, spacious and just what we needed for 4 nights.

Swimming pool was clean and very warm, lifeguards very friendly too.

Boathouse food was very tasty and prices very reasonable.

Entertainment we had a variety, brilliant entertainment team full of energy, always had a hello for you, was very impressed.

We have just came back from a weeks holiday at your site. We stayed in a private caravan which was amazing.. one concern though is that we paid £48 for the entertainment passes for the week!! wish I had kept that £48 in my pocket and spent it on extra goodies as not once whilst on our stay was we ever asked to show passes.. Anyone from off site could just wonder in and enjoy the entertainment.. we walked straight into the club house and swimming and not once stopped.. i also understand that smokers have to go outside and smoke now but surly they could have a designated smoking area and not right outside the main club doors we struggled to get past everyone with a pushchair and then had to walk through a plume of smoke !! One other complaint was trying to get to our caravan I cannot count how many times I’ve had to go round the wrong way because either delivery trucks or caravans are parked in the road.. it’s like a maze and struggled to find the caravan and get glares off other drivers saying it’s a one way system..

The entertainment team was brilliant and kept the kids entertained.. would go back again but just think the park as a whole is disorganised and trying to fit way too many caravans on site that is possible ..

Quite impressed with this park it has definitely improved over the years.

The lifeguards really are a pleasure to encounter. They made us feel very welcome. James from sales very accommodating and polite.

However being an ex Entertainment manager for British holidays Haven and also west star... I’m a little shocked with how scruffy the entertainers look poor uniform... jewellery. Image is everything and entertainers are what set the standards and image of the park. So I would advise the park to get a decent uniform that sets the entertainers apart from the public.

Smart evening wear...

The park is lovely but the caravan they gave us was supposed to be dog friendly but the caravan was nearly on the road you got down the steps and there was a tiny bit of grass cars was coming down and going on the grass so we couldn't sit out comfortably and you got the smell of car fumes constantly so our dog couldn't sit out they'd parked a caravan bang at side of us so couldn't sit at side. The caravan had got thick dust and sticky fingerprints everywhere and the pull out bed in the room smelt of mildew. We have been here a couple of times and had no problems but this has put us off especially after we payed for an upgrade Aswell don't think we will be coming back

I think 2* is nice considering how much we went through on our holiday it was one problem after another from the moment we got the keys too our caravan to the day we left i have recommended this site before to many friends and family but I definitely won't be now. The manager was shocking promise one thing then went back on his word. The lady on reception was rude and obnoxious and needs to learn some people skills as she hasn't got any what so ever. The maintenance man who helped fix all the issues throughout the week was really nice and helpful the cleaner who came to clean our van due to blood (yes blood) being left all over it did a brilliant job cleaning it up. But really should of been properly cleaned before we got the keys. Debbie who works there is truly amazing she was the only person to properly apologize for all the problems we had and sorted out a small amount to be refunded to me for all the issues we had. I was originally offered a £50 voucher to use within a year on my next park holiday!!!! ummmm don't think I will not go to another park site again if California cliffs is anything to go by!!!!! and this £50 voucher is offered to passed guests to get them to return. How is that a form of compensation for what we had to deal with its not!! but Debbie sorted it for us. The best night we had was our final night when the entertainment staff helped surprise our son for his 18th birthday he was totally shocked and they did everything we asked of them so all in all I can not recommended this site at all and will not return I thought it was going to be a brilliant holiday but it was far from it totally disappointed

Stayed in an un clean caravan for a week wanted to leave after one nite if could. Entertainment wasnt good staff trying to do circus skills was an embarrasment ended up walking out after that only went to play bingo rest of week. Made excuses every time we complained then put on our booking info that wouldnt deal with us. Even company was shocked when saw it. Only offered another caravan day before we left. Only thing gd was restaurant to watch football on a nite. Wouldnt reccomend site better sites than this.

When paying over £300 for an upgraded caravan we arrived with high expectations but our hearts sank to find theyd given us the most run down caravan I have ever seen. The entire caravan was infested with ants. It didn't even look like it had been cleaned in months. The back of the remote was missing, mirror covered in sticky handprints, shower full of mildew and all surfaces were grimy. We had two young children with us so we complained at reception straight away but initially got offered ant traps and to have surfaces rewiped. We said we wanted another caravan as we wouldn't let an 8 month old sleep in a bed crawling with ants. In the end they did give us a better one but it really isn't good enough.

As well as that there was the swimming pool, the children's one was so cold that we couldn't go in.

Food advertisement was a joke. All the Sunday Roast posters say they serve it at 12 but when asking, they say its at 1. It didn't look anything like the pictures, nothing was fresh and it all tasted cheap and microwaved.

On the Monday the cleaners came round and asked why we hadn't checked out (bedsheets under caravan appeared in the morning) but we were there for 7.

Electric was off when returning from a family outting. (had to go to desk again) apparently it was down to a wire being caught in the lawnmower, but nobody followed it up or apologised.

We had to retune the TV when we got there.

On our last evening we headed out in the car for a family meal but got stuck behind a Caravan that had just been left in the middle of the road blocking the exit. It also meant everyone had to use the one way system for both directions which was dangerous.

There seemed to be very little communication between staff, everything was someone else's problem.

The camp was lacking in security.

The caravans were parked too close together and were difficult to drive to. The signing was poor and it was difficult to find the caravan.

The music kept us up most evenings.

The chippy was nice, the shop was well stocked and the children's entertainment was reliable.

We've been on caravan holidays annually for over a decade and never experienced anywhere so disappointing.

Well, staff with attitude problems, really shouldn't work with people. Caravans old, dated, unclean! Too close together, barely space to park your car through the maze of caravans! Woken up to ask to move car so a caravan could be parked there for half an hour! Amenities way too small for the amount of caravans on the park! Cleaners clearly don't know how to clean, as caravan was filthy! Will never book a park Dean again! HAVEN have standards, park Dean obviously don't!!!

We were greeted with the smell of urine as we opened the door to find that one of the mattresses was wet and stunk, we also had to wait for keys because they where still cleaning it, more like putting a fresh sheet over a stinking wet mattress absolute joke.



This was only the beginning of the issues. The staff were a joke and manager know where to be seen.



I could list all the other issues but I can’t be bothered to waste my time on this dump won’t be staying at any parkdeans again that’s for sure.

We left 2 days earlier than we were ment to! We paid for a Berkeley caravan.... the caravan we actually got didn’t even have any similarities to the pictures we saw when booking!! The curtains were all ripped. The caravan was filthy to the point I had to spend 2 days bleaching it my self as I have a 2 year old with cystic fibrosis. The pull out bed we had had feaces stain on 1 side and blood stains all over the other. On the pictures of the caravan there was a large fridge (which is needed for my youngests massive amounts of meds) we only got a tiny fridge. The water pipe burst on night 3 and was firing water all over the place, security came out and temporarily fixed it, only to be woken up in the middle of the night with it happening again so they turned off our water. Then the boiler broke so we didn’t have any hot water. Then there was a horrific smell in the van that we just couldn’t find!!!! We think it was damp from the previously leaking pipe! However The night entertainment was brilliant and the kids loved it. But I wouldn’t recommend this place. Which is disappointing as we have stayed a few times and it was never this bad! I think they are pushing so hard to get owners on the site that they have forgotten to properly maintain there own caravans!

This is an email I’ve just sent to Parkdean Resorts following our stay at California Cliffs 15th June to 18th June 2018



My husband and I have just left the above Parkdean Resort this morning after spending 3 nights there.



On arrival we were disgusted with what we were greeted with in our caravan.



1). It smelt disgusting, we had to go and buy some air fresheners and cleaning materials;



2) there had obviously been dogs in the caravan as there were dog hairs everywhere, we had to have the mats replaced;



3) the curtains were falling down, which were fixed when we complained;



4). The window locks were broken and not secure, the windows were replaced but we had to stay in whilst they were replaced;



5) no hot water when we came to have showers, again we had to call someone out and the boiler fixed;



6) broken bottles around the caravan and cigarette butts which were never cleared during our time there, surely with children around this is extremely dangerous;



7). And finally the last straw was finding an infestation of fleas in the bathroom and also in the bed.



As you can imagine I do not find this acceptable, but who would?



This is a public health issue and am seriously considering ringing environmental health when I return home.



We left at 7.30 am on our final day due to this. The reception was closed and I handed the key over to the security person and mentioned about the infestation but he did not seem interested.



We came to your resort as we are doing the rounds looking to purchase a new caravan. The service in sales was first class, I presume because they want your money, after service is a second thought.



Overall, our experience of Parkdean Resorts failed to meet our expectations. I feel we were penalised because we had booked through a third party and was given the leftovers! We did do the same through Haven at Primrose Valley, the same deal, again looking to purchase, although the site was too big for our needs the service and cleanliness was second to none and caravan was exceptional.

Paid for an upgrade and arrived to a filthy caravan that had definitely NOT been cleaned in a while judging by the broom & mop alone. Along with the state of the caravan and the sheer lack of caring from anyone on site our stay was ruined and we didnt enjoy the experience at all. Some upgrade!!



Complaints left at reception at the begining of the week, an email sent to the resort itself. Nothing in response as yet, not impressed at all. Single working mum, money is tight & I wasted it on that so called 'holiday'.

Food advertisement was a joke. All the Sunday Roast posters say they serve it at 12 but when asking, they say its at 1. It didn't look anything like the pictures, nothing was fresh and it all tasted cheap and microwaved.

On the Monday the cleaners came round and asked why we hadn't checked out (bedsheets under caravan appeared in the morning) but we were there for 7.

Electric was off when returning from a family outting. (had to go to desk again) apparently it was down to a wire being caught in the lawnmower, but nobody followed it up or apologised.

We had to retune the TV when we got there.

On our last evening we headed out in the car for a family meal but got stuck behind a Caravan that had just been left in the middle of the road blocking the exit. It also meant everyone had to use the one way system for both directions which was dangerous.

There seemed to be very little communication between staff, everything was someone else's problem.

The camp was lacking in security.

The caravans were parked too close together and were difficult to drive to. The signing was poor and it was difficult to find the caravan.

The music kept us up most evenings.

The chippy was nice, the shop was well stocked and the children's entertainment was reliable.

We've been on caravan holidays annually for over a decade and never experienced anywhere so disappointing.

Well, staff with attitude problems, really shouldn't work with people. Caravans old, dated, unclean! Too close together, barely space to park your car through the maze of caravans! Woken up to ask to move car so a caravan could be parked there for half an hour! Amenities way too small for the amount of caravans on the park! Cleaners clearly don't know how to clean, as caravan was filthy! Will never book a park Dean again! HAVEN have standards, park Dean obviously don't!!!

We were greeted with the smell of urine as we opened the door to find that one of the mattresses was wet and stunk, we also had to wait for keys because they where still cleaning it, more like putting a fresh sheet over a stinking wet mattress absolute joke.



This was only the beginning of the issues. The staff were a joke and manager know where to be seen.



I could list all the other issues but I can’t be bothered to waste my time on this dump won’t be staying at any parkdeans again that’s for sure.

We left 2 days earlier than we were ment to! We paid for a Berkeley caravan.... the caravan we actually got didn’t even have any similarities to the pictures we saw when booking!! The curtains were all ripped. The caravan was filthy to the point I had to spend 2 days bleaching it my self as I have a 2 year old with cystic fibrosis. The pull out bed we had had feaces stain on 1 side and blood stains all over the other. On the pictures of the caravan there was a large fridge (which is needed for my youngests massive amounts of meds) we only got a tiny fridge. The water pipe burst on night 3 and was firing water all over the place, security came out and temporarily fixed it, only to be woken up in the middle of the night with it happening again so they turned off our water. Then the boiler broke so we didn’t have any hot water. Then there was a horrific smell in the van that we just couldn’t find!!!! We think it was damp from the previously leaking pipe! However The night entertainment was brilliant and the kids loved it. But I wouldn’t recommend this place. Which is disappointing as we have stayed a few times and it was never this bad! I think they are pushing so hard to get owners on the site that they have forgotten to properly maintain there own caravans!

This is an email I’ve just sent to Parkdean Resorts following our stay at California Cliffs 15th June to 18th June 2018



My husband and I have just left the above Parkdean Resort this morning after spending 3 nights there.



On arrival we were disgusted with what we were greeted with in our caravan.



1). It smelt disgusting, we had to go and buy some air fresheners and cleaning materials;



2) there had obviously been dogs in the caravan as there were dog hairs everywhere, we had to have the mats replaced;



3) the curtains were falling down, which were fixed when we complained;



4). The window locks were broken and not secure, the windows were replaced but we had to stay in whilst they were replaced;



5) no hot water when we came to have showers, again we had to call someone out and the boiler fixed;



6) broken bottles around the caravan and cigarette butts which were never cleared during our time there, surely with children around this is extremely dangerous;



7). And finally the last straw was finding an infestation of fleas in the bathroom and also in the bed.



As you can imagine I do not find this acceptable, but who would?



This is a public health issue and am seriously considering ringing environmental health when I return home.



We left at 7.30 am on our final day due to this. The reception was closed and I handed the key over to the security person and mentioned about the infestation but he did not seem interested.



We came to your resort as we are doing the rounds looking to purchase a new caravan. The service in sales was first class, I presume because they want your money, after service is a second thought.



Overall, our experience of Parkdean Resorts failed to meet our expectations. I feel we were penalised because we had booked through a third party and was given the leftovers! We did do the same through Haven at Primrose Valley, the same deal, again looking to purchase, although the site was too big for our needs the service and cleanliness was second to none and caravan was exceptional.

Paid for an upgrade and arrived to a filthy caravan that had definitely NOT been cleaned in a while judging by the broom & mop alone. Along with the state of the caravan and the sheer lack of caring from anyone on site our stay was ruined and we didnt enjoy the experience at all. Some upgrade!!



Complaints left at reception at the begining of the week, an email sent to the resort itself. Nothing in response as yet, not impressed at all. Single working mum, money is tight & I wasted it on that so called 'holiday'.
