you really couldent find a better butcher if you tried, when you enter the shop your made to feel like a member of the family, the staff go out of their way to make sure you get the very best cut of meat every time, a butcher that takes great pride in the produce they sell
we were in heiensburgh and bought some meat in callaghans when we cooked the popeseye joint it was very good quality and since then we have used their online delivery service for delivery in the highlands which arrived well packed and on the agreed arrival day,we will be placing another order today
Wow, went in today looking for a good T bone. Cut in front of me, and tasted absolutely amazing. First class.
Wouldn't normally take the time to find and post on a company Facebook page but after visiting the shop (on advice of a taxi driver) and buying a couple of ribeye steaks (on recommendation of the staff) while staying in the Loch Lomond area, I can safely say these were the best steaks we've ever had and very reasonably priced!! If we were local would definitely be back!! :)
When we visit Scotland we always call in to see Joe and Gary and pick up our order for us and our friends back in England. Joe also delivers anywhere in the U.K. And will vacuum pack your products for you. The best square slice steak sausage, steak pies and Scotch pies are great too. Quality meat and good prices means that we don't go short of the best meat in the world. Friends are also delighted with their order when it comes. All the best Joe and Gary, Clare and Les xx

This is the only butcher's in the burgh that my husband and I would buy from. Always a happy face to greet you and a wee bit of banter to pass the time. The meat is so juicy, tasty and has so little fat on it. The price is extremely competitive if not undercutting himself with the quality of the produce.
The fillet steak cuts are always of the highest quality. Sausage rolls and pies that we have tasted are always spot on. No doubt a fantastic butcher shop.
The biltong is amazing , can’t believe I haven’t had it before �
On the advice of the guy serving us we bought the ribeye - it was the best steak we’ve ever had! I’ll never buy supermarket steak again. Haggis balls were amazing too �

Myself, friends and family (6) holiday in Argyle and Bute every year and have visited several different Butchers during this time, however for the last 5 years we have exclusively only ever used Callaghan's shop for our supplies of meat and other products. when we were there this year 2016 we asked for a leaflet and we have decided to start placing orders on line for delivery. Looking forward to enjoying excellent Scottish fare. We have no hesitation in giving this shop our highest recommendation, weather you live locally in Helensburgh or in Lands end you will not be disappointed with the quality of food from this supplier.
