Dexter showing his superstar back float! Well done young man. 👍🏊‍♂️😆
Understanding buoyancy and the ability to float are foundational practices of swimming. We teach this important safety skill through gentle techniques - not force - in line with the child's development.
Limited spaces are available in our Toddler Swimming Program starting in January 2019.

We have been contacted by a Jo a journalist at the BBC Current Affairs programme - Inside Out.
She is asking for our help, here is what she said... 'We are doing some filming on 22nd November, where we set up a ‘Smart House’ and test the security of various bits of internet connected devices.
... We can’t buy all of the techs, so I’m trying to get it on loan from people who already have it. Would any of your members have an internet connected baby monitor we could borrow on that day?
It would help raise awareness of the need to secure devices.'
Please message us if you can offer a monitor for the day?

**Our last Coffee, Cake & Coping group for 2018**
Monday 19th November - Monday 17th December 1:15pm - 2:45pm
This group is designed to offer you space to slow down, plus a little support for life with your new baby.
... Most of all, it is an honest, and often humorous, look at the reality, expectations, confusion, emotions and joys of being a modern-day mum.
We’ve called it Coffee, Cake & Coping! Because we know that cake is an entire food group when you are postnatal! And often ‘Coping’ is what we feel like we are doing in the early weeks with a new baby!
Oh, and there’s cake…did we mention the cake!
If you would like to book or require more details please call us on 01733 707808 or email info@calmababy.com

We love it!!

After reading one particular review I felt compelled to write s review as someone who actually goes and I don't review often.

The service calm a baby offer for swimming is second to none, and this is based on experience. My eldest daughter swam elsewhere with a franchise business who were fantastic in swimming lessons but more expensive and not as flexible, she has since tried 2 other facilities for swimming and we have settled at our local leisure centre.

In comparison to all of these I was amazed that calm a baby let you change your days and times of swimming on a week by week basis to suit your needs, that you can use them at a time in the term or carry over which I have just done that suits you, and that you can book a plus one. This is brilliant!! At no point in my other daughters swimmming journey (in which we have paid considerably more per time for lessons!) has this ever been offered!! The app makes life so much easier compared with having to send emails or repeat phone calls to cancel rebook etc.

The girls on reception have always been welcoming, polite and helpful - this week I had to borrow an extra nappy, and previously I'd forgotten a swim nappy, this is never to much hassle.

So you speak as you find, the swimming lessons themselves are great, the facilities really child friendly, the people warm and welcoming. If you wondering about having lessons here, go for it!

User

We love it

Went there when I was pregnant for aqua yoga and now we are there every week with the little one

User

We had our last lesson a couple of weeks ago after 5years of going. Jack finished nearly a year ago just before starting school and has nearly passed level 2 in his new class where he's swimming with 6/7yr olds,he's only just turned 5! Lexie is enjoying her new class but certainly missing calmababy (as am I) thank you to everyone, especially Angela and Vanessa, fantastic teachers

User

The staff at Calmababy, from Selina's to pool attendants, go out of their way to help and assist when needed without having to ask! They are truly a great group of folk! I can't think of anywhere else that has this level of personal service.

User

Nothing better than start the day with yoga. Thank you to my teacher Suzie who is ever so kind and helped me to stay fit and positive in my pregnancy. I will miss my classes but already thinking to do postnatal yoga at calm a baby and can't wait.

User

Nice clean, modern and up to date facilities. Ample parking, play area, shop and large Café. Always a warm, friendly welcome upon arrival at the reception. Lessons are very fun, I enjoyed just as much as my little one. Dale, wow, he is really super! ! Fantastic at his profession, great with the children, fun, bubbly n all round lovely top notch guy. My lil man loved him, the first time he met him he went to kiss Dale lol! Underwater photo shoots are amazing. I really enjoyed my experience with you guys. Would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you :) x x x

User

My 2 year old has just enjoyed his first lesson at calmababy. He really loved it and we ended up staying on for lunch and a play. Fab. I cannot wait for the next session, it really is that bit special here. To top it off the tea room is excellent!

User

Just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Calmababy. You have all been so welcoming and helpful since we started a month ago. Ted (now 15 weeks) has thoroughly enjoyed newborn flotation with Vanessa (after a false start!) and we are now loving post natal yoga with her. She's an amazing teacher and a really inspirational person. I leave all her classes feeling happy and uplifted. With all the members of staff, nothing is too much trouble and no one judges you. So, just a thank you for doing what you do and making a new mum feel great!

User

I’ve just finished the fifth session of Coffee, Cake and Coping and I would whole-heartedly recommend this to ALL new mums. My little boy is 7 months now and I wish I had attended much sooner. I learned so much about posture and positions that I’m already feeling true physical benefits. Talking through the good and bad times each week was a real mental therapy, plus there’s cake at the end of it! I think it should be compulsory for mums! Vanessa and Sarah were so friendly, helpful and caring. Thank you!

User

I've been attending Aqua Yoga most of my pregnancy with Susi. I enjoy the sessions so much, they are fun, relaxing and informative. I have lots of medical issues so its been really good for those too. I can also guarantee a good night sleep afterwards! Susi is amazing, she's so passionate, caring and very entertaining. I will really miss my sessions on a Thursday, and I've made some really good mummy friends too. I really can't recommend highly enough. I will definitely be bringing my little one to swimming sessions for sure.

User

I would absolutely recommend calmababy to anyone thinking about swimming lessons with your little one. My first experience was nerve racking and I remember sitting in the car park wondering where I would put my 3 month old baby whilst I showered , got changed etc but was welcomed with opened arms in reception by the lady on reception saying I looked great and I'd done well getting out of the door for a 10am start ( 3 months of no sleep and I could of cried with appreciation ) rest assured the changing rooms had baby chairs and changing mats so they were full prepared.

We've been attending weekly and 3 years on( 3 yrs almost to the day ) we've had one of my proudest mummy moments yet ... My daughter spent the half the lesson swimming underwater and the other half whizzing around the pool on her woggle ,safely grabbing the side when she needed a rest from woggle swimming ! She hasn't wanted to go underwater until today and has spent the last year saying ' I'm staying on top I don't want to go underwater!' Our swimming teacher Vanessa is absolutely wonderful , she has never forced or surprised my daughter with a quick underwater swim and always reassured me that one day she will want to and said how important it is not to break the trust by making her do something she doesn't want to do. all lessons are tailored to each child's individual comfort levels , the trust that has been built in the class is really special .Vanessa knows the children really well and is always fun, professional , patient and kind . Thank you Vanessa and calmababy !! Wednesday is our favourite day of the week Xxx

User

I really recommend Calmababy. I did Aquanatal Yoga whilst pregnant with my little boy and I'm now doing post natal yoga, he comes to that with me. I've just booked him in for baby swimming as well. The staff are really friendly and completely put you at ease. They were really supportive and gave great advice during pregnancy. I can't wait to start his swimming lessons! It's also a great place to meet other mums, especially other first time mums.

User

I have been taking my little boy to Calmababy since he was 7 weeks old (he will be turning

1 in January ) and he absolutely loves it and will get excited when we get to the car park. Our lessons are great and our instructor is lovely. And of course afterwards we always stop for at least a cake on the cafe and sometimes pop in st the weekend for lunch as the food is amazing. I have and would recommend Calmababy to anyone wanting to take their little one swimming.

User

I have been going to calmababy since I was 14 weeks pregnant, my son is now 10 months old! From aqua yoga, new-born floatation to swimming lessons calmababy have been amazing at every step - especially Vanessa our instructor for everything! I can still hear her voice in my head when I had to sit still through contractions whilst having a spinal tap! Myself and 4 other mums bonded at aqua yoga and a love of cake at Selinas before our class and now all our boys attend the same swimming lessons! It's been a special journey and calmababy have been there at every step.

User

I absolutely adore Calmababy. I have been taking my son here since he was two weeks old on a weekly basis (he has now just turned three).

Every single member of staff you come into contact greets you with a smile and will go out of their way to help in any way that they can.

I have also started Aquayoga recently and have found the experience so enjoyable and relaxing so would highly recommend for expectant mothers.

Thank you to all the staff and especially Suzy who I have had the privilege of knowing through all my sons swimming lessons.

User

Had a great time here today. It was my 3 year olds first lesson and she loved it! The staff were ace, they couldn't do enough for us. The facilities were clean and tidy. I brought my 4 month along too and felt so comfortable could have stayed all day. The indoor soft play area was lovely (not too busy) and the garden is very engaging. To top it all off the food was amazing! Can't wait till next week now! Thank uou!

User

Had a fantastic experience at Calmababy with our four week old son. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool is perfect - warm, superbly equipped for caring for babies and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Calmababy - a brilliant place for our baby's first experiences of water.

User

First time at calma baby today with my daughter she seemed to have loved it. The staff were great as I was not very well and they let me sit in the pool area and watch her.

User

Calmababy is a lovely place to go with your children. I took my daughter from the age of 8 weeks, up until she was about 10 months old (and I had to go back to work) I love the fact that the groups were small, so you got lots of attention and support from the teacher, and that the water was so warm.

It is also fab having Selena's cafe next door, as I could finish up swimming and go to breastfeed in the cafe with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Perfect!

The play area in Selena's means that as the little ones get older, you can still have that cup of tea whilst they play!

Thank uou!

Had a fantastic experience at Calmababy with our four week old son. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool is perfect - warm, superbly equipped for caring for babies and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Calmababy - a brilliant place for our baby's first experiences of water.

First time at calma baby today with my daughter she seemed to have loved it. The staff were great as I was not very well and they let me sit in the pool area and watch her.

Thank you!
