#caeintroducing... CAE loves visitors. We have had two surprise visitors in the last two weeks. YiZhan travelled to Cambridge from China especially to visit Bev, her favourite teacher from 2002! Mr Shimizu travelled to Cambridge to visit CAE on behalf of his daughter, Mineru who joined us from Japan at Old Buckenham Hall and then at Princess Helena College in summers 2016 and 2017. ... " Dear reader,
I will be glad, if you spend some minutes reading the following text about the experience that I am living as a foreign student.
My name is Asia, I am nineteen and I come from the Italian part of Switzerland, which it lies in the South of the country. I’m taking a gap year and I’m attending a 6 months general English course at the Cambridge Academy of English at the moment, with a view to improve my English. However, the experience that I am living extends beyond this: here I met many other students, which come from several different countries. Therefore, there is a mixture of cultures; religions; ideas and above all life stories. The most beautiful thing is that actually I am not just learning English, but much more than this: I learnt and I am still learning the way to approach and communicate with these people and understand their point of view. As a result, I am not only improving language skills, but I am also expanding my interior world.
If you ever happen to have a similar opportunity, I recommend you to take it, because I am sure that you will not regret it and you will get a lot from that. If you do not, try to get as much as possible from the encounters that you will have; they are more than what you think they are.
