The cleaner in the pub Monday-Friday is brilliant, your pub and toilets smell lovely!�

My hubby and myself came up for a quick meal today before he went to work 😉 really enjoyed it too!! The food was amazing and tasty , very good value aswell. I had the southern fried chicken burger and my hubby had the old faithful burger 😀🍔🍔 well recommend it up here ☺ the menu has a really good extensive choice and loads of lovely desserts too !! Would definately recommend this place as the quality of the food is impressive xx

Lovely place, always have 5 star meals, Lisa, the kitchen manager always is polite and friendly and her food isn’t half bad either. All staff nice, a place to recommend for sure.

It’s one of the best pubs in Worksop always a great atmosphere and friendly people and friendly staff

I'm a regular at this place and as a result have tried pretty much everything on the menu! twice over! The staff are great, namely Karina and Lisa (crazy kitchen lady). The place has come on leaps and bounds since Matt took over! I look forward to many more lovely meals at The Cannon! Keep it up!

I went yesterday with friends, staff was very helpful and food was lovely �

I enjoyed a lovely afternoon with my mates having a few pints and watching the grand national the bar staff served us very quickly and always smiling, definitely be visiting again credit to the manager.

Xmas dinner with Daughter and son in law, found the bar very busy when we arrived at 13:30 for meal at 14:30 but did get served by a very harassed young bar man mainly trying to satisfy everyone at same time,but couldn't have been that bad as went back to bar two more times before sitting down for meal at 14:20 meal was excellent well cooked and presented more than enough for the biggest appetite so all in all a very good impression of Xmas dinner in the cannon although I do go in fairly regular I have never been in on Xmas day before and never eaten out anywhere on Xmas day! Would I do it again yes certainly thanks to the superb team working there !!!

Went for tea today . Meal was awful ordered surf and turf skillet . Menu said 6 pieces of scampi 5oz steak flat mushroom half tomatoe and seasoned chips . It didn't mention the inch and half of raw onions that covered the skillet . Everything tasted of onion i complained and waitress virtually chucked me a clean plate . No appology my friends was exactly the same . On top of that free drink on app doesnt work . my friend and i are now suffering heart burn . Nice pub just avoid the skillet .

Vegetarian option of hallumi is fried in the same oil as fish as was told by the manager. Therefore not vegetarian. So had halluomi grilled on a baguette which should come with salad and dressing. All it had was a few leaves, no dressing. Also the baguette had been cross contaminated with bbq sauce which was on someone else’s burger and steak! It was under the baguette. The ribeye stake was rock hard couldn’t cut it. The chips was hard. And to top it off there was some kind of insect inside the ice cube of my drink. My partner wanted Tennessee sirloin steak but was told they didn’t have any sirloin and if we wanted rump steak we would have to pay more. I will be taking this to the foods standards agency.

Lunch with my partner. Very slow service even though the pub wasn’t busy. Dirty cutlery. Very poor food. I had vegetarian curry, it was minuscule and dried up. My partner had a burger and said it was very tough. No serving staff to speak to. I went back to the bar to order more drinks and say how disappointed we were with the food, however by this time it was getting busier with people coming in to watch the football. Clearly this is a “local” pub as people were certainly given preference. I waited quite a while and noted that people just coming in were getting served before me. We left not bothering with a second drink or pudding.
