Yum food, reasonably priced, real ale, local produce, lovely staff, lovely company, beer garden, sunshine, 2 Austin Healeys, books, pubs games, dog friendly and child friendly too, really what more can you ask for?

What a gem! Friendly efficient staff, and fantastic food in a lovely pub. And dog friendly too! Next time we are in Norfolk, we’ll definitely be visiting here again!

Walked in to the warmest welcome! Nothing too much trouble, great Adnams beers and lovely food! Even a treat for the dog!!

This is the 3rd time I have eaten here in 2 months. On this occasion (27/10/17)I celebrated my birthday with a lovely meal for the 4 of us. The mussles I had were in a white wine, garlic and onion sauce with toasted crusty bread fantastic the right amount for a starter portion. My main course I had was steak I had mustard mash and vegetables in stead of the chips and salad. Again cooked to perfection. All round a fantastic meal. Our waitress Joey was brilliant she definitely Listened in the meeting about the ingredients in all the food on the menu. Every question we had she answered. Nothing was to much trouble and we all felt welcome. No wonder everytime I have been in here be it a week day or weekend it's busy. Well done again to the chefs and all team that make the Carpenters Arms work. ☆☆☆☆☆

Thank you all the team at The Carpenters Arms, I spent a wonderful birthday evening complete with balloons, with great service and fantastic food. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much. It's such a comfortable environment and the girls are so welcoming. My daughter always gets the colouring out. My steak was so tender and tasty and the 12 other meals were brought out, quickly and looking great. Everyone had a fab time. Thank you again, see you soon.

Recommended by the place we were staying at so had a reunion there with friends I had not seen for 23 years.

Great venue, great food, great hosts. We'll both be back, especially my friends as they are relatively local...I'm over 150 miles away but when we are back to stay, we'll be back here again.

Really worth a visit. Great food, priced very fairly. Great hospitality, felt very welcomed. First ever pub that has given my 3 year old a drink in a plastic child's cup well done to The Carpenters Arms, we will be back to try your Sunday lunch. Thank you xx

One of the most relaxed, comfortable pubs in Norfolk to visit for something to eat.

We recently ate on a Saturday and Sunday night. Both meals were excellent. Looked after both evenings by two charming ladies ( Jo and Amber/ Pinky?)

We will definitely come back soon and would recommend to all friends .

Such a shame it is over 290 miles away or we would visit more often !!

Ok, so I wanted to mention to all pub loving people out there - get yourself to this one. The Carpenters Arms in Wighton ( between Walsingham and Wells-Next-The-Sea) it's amazing. No boring generic chain type pub designs. This place is unique with its own great character. Inside it's cosy and welcoming, the rear garden is brand spanking new with seating to enjoy the north view. Not to mention a brand newly built kitchen - packed with the latest kitchen tech. Get ready- meals from this new revamp will blow your mind. Well done to the Pickled Inns and Phil Parker for achieving a great welcoming public house. Lovely; Amber & Joey gave us such a lovely, friendly welcome, followed by amazing food; rump steak for Sarah and pizza special of the day for me - YUM. We will definitely be returning. Thanks all.

Havnt eaten there yet but have drank in there on many occasions, The staff and jo jo are so good at what they do.

Had a wonderful meal here last night served by a friendly efficient waitress. The food was delicious and couldn't be faulted. I highly recommend the hake risotto and the special elderflower and orange posset was to die for. It's a pity we are only in the area 2 days and it's a bit far to travel for another fantastic meal. Thanks again to the chef and staff.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch for 13 of us for my 60th birthday- everything was perfect - as always at the Carpenters- thank you!!

Great food and service , in a very short period of time Jojo and her team have made the pub a wonderful asset for the village, such a loverly atmosphere ,a great place for a Sunday lunch and at any other time.

Fantastic little place within a great location plus child friendly. Food very tasty and lots of choice, staff very lovely and accommodating will highly recommended to anyone. We will definitely be returning very soon �

Delicious food, friendly staff and a warm welcoming ambience! Our family dog never gets missed out either, with a bowl of water and treat too!

As a Wighton resident I'm worried that when people find out our excellently refurbished pub has just re-opened the village will be inundated. As a pub it sells fine Norfolk Brewhouse, Adnams and Woodforde ales - CAMRA, take note. As for food - having just eaten a superb Sunday lunch and served with a smile - you can't ask for anything better and pub-baked pizzas are on the menu. Well worth a visit.
