Based in Thetford Norfolk, Castle Osteopaths provides qualified therapist in Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Sports massage, Nutritional therapy and Podiatry

Castle Osteopaths Description

“Our primary aim is to help and empower people back to good health. ”

I’m Simon Nembhard and I started Castle Osteopaths in 1995. I’m a registered Osteopath, Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist with over 20 years’ experience of treating a wide range of conditions.

I like to think that I an efficient but relaxed manner that people are comfortable with. But most importantly, and what matters the most to me, is that I have a really good success rate.

What I like to do is use a combination of therapies to give the best possible outcome for individual clients.

For example, if your back is painful I may use massage and manipulation to realign the muscles and bones and acupuncture to relieve the pain quickly.

You don’t need to be referred to Castle Osteopaths by your Doctor. Osteopaths are trained to examine muscles, joints, the cardiovascular system, respiratory system etc and have to study for four years before we qualify.

Conditions that I can help you with include:

-Abdominal pain
-Acid reflux
-Allergies
-Arthristis
-Back Pain
-Bell’s palsy
-Eye Pain
-Fertility
-Fibromyalgia
-Foot Pain – including policeman’s heel
-Frozen Shoulder
-Gynaecological issues
-Headaches
-Hip Pain
-Insomnia
-Knee pain
-Migraine
-Muscle and Joint Pain
-Post surgery rehabilitation
-Whiplash

If you have a condition that you feel your Doctor is struggling to treat, it’s well worth visiting a qualified therapist for some complimentary treatment.

Castle Osteopaths cannot replace your GP but they can help in ways that the NHS can’t. Why not make an appointment and find out if we can help you?

Pain, nausea, anxiety, insomnia and fatigue can usually be relieved by acupuncture. So if you, or someone you know is suffering, please get in touch with Castle Osteopaths.
... If you ask Simon to phone you he can discuss acupuncture with you and together you can decide if it might help.

Your Questions Answered
Q: When is treatment with acupuncture appropriate?
Simon's answer: Acupuncture may be suggested when your therapist believes it may be the most effective treatment for your condition, or that it might help to improve the effectiveness of your overall treatment. Therefore, acupuncture may be used as a stand-alone treatment, or it may be offered in conjunction with other treatments to help achieve the best result for you as an individual.

Q: How many acupuncture treatments will I need to help me feel better?
A: Research suggests that for a longstanding condition such as low back pain, a course of 6-10 treatments is required to achieve the best results. The number of acupuncture treatments will vary depending on the condition being treated and how the individual responds. At Castle Osteopaths each treatment will be tailored to suit the individual and their condition.

Every year, 1 in 5000 people in the UK suffer from Bells Palsy.
It's an inflamation of the facial nerve which means that the face "droops" on one side.
Conventional medicine uses drugs and physiotherapy to try to fix it.
... But did you know that acupuncture is considered to be at lease as effective as corticosteroids - and the only side effects are better health.
If you are having problems with Bells Palsy - why not give Simon a ring to see if he can help.

Chronic back pain - Doctors couldn't help
Hello everyone. My name is Giedrius. I would like to tell you my story. About 5 years ago I came from Lithuania to United Kingdom to seek a better job. During that period I have had various jobs. Most of them were physically hard
It wasn’t long before I started getting back pain which I thought would go by itself.
... After a few months the pain persisted so I thought I would do some sports to help. Over the next 6 months the pain just got worse. There were times when getting out of bed was difficult and even breathing was painful.
It was then that I sort medical help. I was prescribed medication and arranged a blood test. After a week I returned for the results which came back negative.
I came back again to my doctor, she said that blood tests showed that I am a completely healthy person, so told me to keep taking the painkillers and said that the pain should pass. While using medications the pain was reduced, but just came back worse than before.
I was then referred for physiotherapy and they recommended a course of exercises, after two months there was no noticeable difference.
I came back to my doctors and this time she sent me to do a magnetic resonance image (MRI), which as well as the blood test did not shown anything wrong.
It has been 2 years of back pain and the medical profession are telling me there is nothing wrong with me.
When someone in authority is telling me there is nothing wrong you start to think “Am I imagining this pain”
So I did not seek any more doctors, suffered constant pain, it was very bad so I just took the strongest painkillers.
My family saw my pain but no one could help. One morning I had to ask my brother to help get me out of bed because the pain was so bad.
I continued to suffer pain for four years. One day I met an old friend who also previously had the same problems with his back but now assured me that is completely healthy and can enjoy life and just can thank one person.
It turns out, that this person is located just outside my house, which I often have seen him working with people, doing massage, so many times when I’m coming back from my work.
However, because I was disappointed with doctors, I did not believe that such pain can be cured only with help of hands. After a friends recommendation I visited this person. I understand know that he is an osteopath, physiotherapist and he uses acupuncture not a doctor. He was the first person to examine my spine with his hands gave me answer to my problems and treated me.
I have had about 6 treatments the pain has reduced about 85%. I am very happy that finally I can enjoy life again.
I am very grateful to this osteopath. Therefore, I advise everyone not to delay until the pain takes over your life, and as soon as possible to seek help. Because don’t forget, the moment you are ready to quit is usually the moment right before the miracle happens. Don’t give up!
Big Thankyou to Simon Nembhard

Limped in to see Simon this morning with an exacerbation to an old knee injury, almost skipped out ! Acupuncture has reduced pain by 50% so far! As a nurse I've always had an open mind about alternatives to conventional medicine and I have no desire to spend weeks swallowing pain killers. If you're in pain, give this a go. See you next week simon and thank you!

User

When i arrived at castle osteopaths for my first treatment i was unable to put any weight on my left foot. 1 hour later after acupuncture i was able to do away with my crutches and walk out the building. Simon is fantastic at what he does and anyone (male or female) not sure about any of this put your trust in simon. Brilliant job mate keep it up

I have had chronic pain in my back and left left for 18 months. Nothing has helped.

I had no power in my left left and severe pain down my leg and in to my knee.

Most days have been unbearable and have not had many good nights sleep.

I have seen Stacy three times now and after each appointment have noticed an incredible improvement.

Had my third appointment today and almost danced in to the room.

I feel like a new Women, I am sleeping really well and have minimal pain.

Today I finally had power in my leg!

It’s amazing and all thanks to Stacy- a huge thank you.

User

Great treatment for my leg muscle from Simon better after three treatments recommended !

User

First visit here today, been suffering back pain and problems off and on for years and at present i am in a period of severe pain and muscle spasm. Simon and Castle osteopaths came recommended by a neighbour, so i thought i would book an appointment and see how things go as i am getting fed up of just masking the pain with trammadol and diazapam.

I was made to feel very welcome and at ease and Simon spent time listening to my history of issues before doing an assessment. It turns out i have multiple issues with my spine from top to bottom!

After a series of manipulation movements on my neck and spine (resulting in some popping and cracking) i was then offered to try some acupuncture, The difference in mobility from arrival to leaving was impressive for just one session and i will be back again next week for a follow up session and hopefully a beginning to an end of my persistent back problems. well worth a visit

User

Excellent treatment - Thanks Simon, See you next week. Still in pain, but I know things are going in the right direction.

User

Being an athlete, and performing at a pretty decent standard, I got injured in early february. It was really important to get it sorted quickly. Since having the bad hip, I've seen 3 different physios, and 9 treatments with them. I was sceptical at first, but after 3 sessions with simon using acupuncture, I haven't had any pain whatso ever since! Highly recommend him, and returning back to fitness, peace!

User
