Thank you so much to the Cavalry PTFA who kindly donated this fabulous apple tree for the Early Years Outdoor area. We can't wait to count how many apples we have in September! (For the parents of some of our Reception children; this is the 'mop' tree... it had netting on the roots like a mop, just in case you wonder what they're talking about! 😄)🍏🌳

If you are shopping in Queensgate, Peterborough, in the second week of the holidays, be sure to pop into this exhibition. The Vivacity shop is opposite McDonalds. One of your teachers may have a painting displayed. Clue; You'll spot it straight away!

Thank you for all the donations for our Easter Raffle! There are over 150 happy children heading your way with some treats! The funds raised will be used to purchase more playtime equipment in school.

Year 3 are now leaving Burwell. We hope to home around 3pm. Please ensure that the bus bay and pavement is clear so that we can put the suitcases out for easy and quick collection. We will update if we meet any delays.

A reminder that tomorrow is the special Easter lunch at school. If you did not pre-book this for your child then they will need to have a packed lunch tomorrow as there will be no other options available.

We enjoyed a restful night as everyone was exhausted from a full day yesterday. We are all packed and ready for breakfast and our activities today - Burwell Fox and our village walk. The children are looking forward to seeing their families later on. We are very proud of them, they have all coped brilliantly with being away from home. Well done Mums, Dads and all carers.

Year 3 have enjoyed a wonderful action-filled, if soggy, day at Burwell House. We have been busy leading each other on the Burwell Challenge, looking up during our Sky Eye walks, mixing and shaking smelly cocktails and creating beautiful plant palettes. Our afternoon was filled with egg-salent challenges followed by a two-storey egg-drop! Amazingly, one team managed to protect and pad their egg well enough to survive the fall intact! Food today has been fantastic, from plentiful cereal and toast this morning, to delicious lasagne with home-made bread and salad for lunch and this evening's pizza followed by birthday cake. The children are now ready for bed, watching a movie and thankfully looking a little tired!

BURWELL UPDATE. The children have successfully managed their first night away from home. They have had a very hearty breakfast. Our first activities of the day have included skywalking and The Burwell Challenge. The children are loving it. We just need yesterday's good weather to return.

A fantastic first day for Year 3 at Burwell House. Super activities outside in the sunshine. All children enjoyed a delicious lunch and dinner and are now ready for bed. We are very proud of their good behaviour and their manners. We are hoping for a peaceful night and another wonderful day tomorrow.

Please remember, the only clubs running this week are senior band on Tuesday and junior blow band on Weds. All other clubs will resume after Easter.
