I would like to thank the 2 Colins (maintenance guys) we bumped into yest, they were very helpful, and knowledgeable. My friend from Sydney was so impressed with them, especially their story of the moth or whatever it was that he said can predict the forthcoming weather.

I love the Park. It’s beautiful got everything you need in a stunning setting. But a request to visitors: please leave the place as you find it. My 12 & 7 year old were horrified (as was I) with discarded drinks cans, bottles and McDonalds cups lying around. There are bins provided! Please use them. At night, when the “humans” have gone home, a startling amount of wildlife come out and my 13 year old son went over to pick up a discarded McDonalds cup, the plastic lid of which was being chewed upon by a poor rabbit! My two boys were upset at the harm that may befall the rabbit/s chewing on such stuff. My parents live near there and we were having a very slow drive up the driveway and round (because that’s when you see the wildlife - it was about 9.25pm) - but instead of being the pleasure drive it could have been, we came away annoyed by the thoughtless of others. There was a bin within 50 yds of all this rubbish too! No excuses - please put your rubbish in the bin or take it home. Keep Chatelherault beautiful!

Hàd a lovely walk and staff were more than helpful when I asked if there was somewhere to sit for coffee with the dog - showed us out side seating, water for the dog, shortcut into cafe for coffee and even offered poop bags

User

Great place to go with kids!!! We were there for 5 hours and not a single whine out of any of the 5 (under 6 yr old) kids we had with us.

The play park is excellent, it caters from toddler up to older kids maybe about 8ish and is enclosed with a fence so parents can relax a bit. We spent a couple hours in the park and ate our pinic then took a walk to the cafe where we got a take away coffee and took a walk down some of the trails and over the old Avon bridge! Kids had a ball with nature, finding sticks and pretending they were witches brooms etc. Could have been there a while longer if we’d wanted. Kids didn’t want to go home!

Highly recommend.

Great place lots of interesting place to see on my walk it could do with better sign posts to keep people right but other than that it was a great experience

User

Great place and can't wait to go back when I am walking again...didn't get to cover any of it really as I have a broken leg...but when I'm back in action, we will return!

Been one of my favorite chillout spots.I came as a child when it was just an empty shell before it was a public place.I've walked many a long gone pup and sat on a bench. I've shared many treasured moments , my niece had her 1st birthday bbq on the lawn , watched on by some white cattle.Rolled many an egg and walked many a mile.

User

An absolutely stunning park. Such a beautiful walk. Plenty of bins provided for rubbish so please use them. There is a lot of wildlife live here so please don't endanger them by leaving plastic about.

User

Always love this place . We meet up with the family from far and wide and it lets the kids play and we watch . If it's nice we'd have a picnic if not ,we have a walk then the visitors center for coffee and a scone .And you can always find a quiet spot down by the water we have been going here since my son was small he's now 31 ....lots of great memories and there always brought back to life when we catch up (remember when) well worth a visit .

User

Absolutely fantastic place. The staff are amazing and couldn't be more helpful. I conducted a wedding here in March and they all just instill such a great atmosphere and happy vibes. They are helpful and kind and would do anything and everything to make things easy and smooth. Cannot wait to be back x

User

A huge thank you to the lady who handed in my glasses to the gift shop this morning. Staff handled very appropriately. Sincere thanks all round. Fabulous venue for a woodland walk. If you're on a leisurely visit then the cafe is worth visiting too. Enjoy!

User

A beautiful place to be in nature just outside Glasgow! Can’t wait to return.

User

Was there with kids for a fun day held with in the grounds ,Was able to pop inside house for a relaxing snack and cup of coffee,

User

Was at the Harry Potter themed walk with my daughter and it was a good event and well managed. Very muddy under foot though so definitely a welly boot walk. 😬

User

Had visited here on Saturday afternoon with our host for the weekend, we just went to the gift shop and Liz couldn't do enough for us, bringing out more colours in gloves and getting necklaces out of the cabinets, was very helpful! and wrapped everything up for us as well, what a lovely shop it is :)

We also went back again on the Sunday morning for a cup of coffee, must say coffee was nice and I like mine strong but couldn't justify paying an extra £1.05 for another shot of coffee in my cappuccino!!!! Had a lovely wander around the house and into all the different rooms, and the view from the room upstairs is amazing, would love to go back when I have the correct footwear and have a walk around the outside

User

Always enjoy a day out here. So much to do always new places to walk and explore and at the end a nice calming place to rest with a cuppa
