Chipstead Lake - Leonard Cheshire Description
Chipstead Lake is part of the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability and has been providing services to disabled people since 1977. Our home offers permanent accommodation in a delightful setting, with many rooms enjoying views over the beautiful lake. The service is purpose built, designed to provide quality person centred support.
The residential home is registered to provide care and support to 22 service users
Our activity and skills group is lively and inviting - where you can meet friends, have fun and achieve the things you want. We are open Monday to Friday from 9. 30am to 3. 30pm.
The village has a large fishing lake, a friendly local pub and is within easy reach of a large supermarket. The nearby town of Sevenoaks features an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.
The area has good transport links to central London and Tunbridge Wells, another town well worth a visit, is less than 30 minutes drive away.
Our residents make sure their home has a lively atmosphere. At their request we offer a wide range of activities, including takeaway evenings, quiz nights and nightclub visits.
We also hold events in the home, such as an annual fun day, where we invite family, friends and people from the local community to join us.
Our fully-trained staff members work hard to ensure everybody is happy in their home. We support our residents to be independent and to take part community activities as they wish.

This September McMillan William Solicitors in Sevenoaks are writing wills in return for donations to Chipstead Lake. Their target is to raise £1,000 by offering ten wills for a suggested donation of £100 each.

Running London Marathon for Leonard Cheshire Disability because of the wonderful work they do in Sevenoaks. Not completely sure what happened ...... but I am taking part in the London marathon on the 22nd April and I would really appreciate your support! I have never done this before and have a long way to go to be ready. Needless to say, the training in cold, wet weather has begun. My trainers are covered in mud and my feet are killing me!
... To give me the motivation to carry on, especially on the big day itself, I am raising money for Leonard Cheshire Homes for the Disabled and, in particular, for the wonderful Leonard Cheshire Home at Chipstead Lake in Sevenoaks.
Leonard Cheshire Disability work tirelessly every day to give their disabled residents a quality of life we all take for granted. For example, residents in Chipstead are supported to go shopping in our local Tesco or have a drink in the local pub, just 100 metres away. Simple things that make a huge difference to everyone but especially those living with a serious and permanent disability.
I am hoping by running the London marathon to make a small difference by raising £2,000 for them. Please help me!
