Missing my customers, but doing some gardening today, and making use of the willow that is hanging over the neighbours fence into my garden.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I like many other businesses have been forced to make unprecedented decisions. Specific advice from the government to the Optical industry is not clear and still to be clarified, but I feel that Colorimetry does not fall into the remit of “essential and urgent eye care”. Shared... unfortunately this is the reality😞..
My heart is aching for my fellow freelancers/ self employed ❤️
They don’t have a premises - no £10k grant.
... They don’t employ staff - no 80% of their wage covered to retain them.
They aren’t employed - no 80% of their wage covered.
They can apply for universal credit and get a maximum of 300 odd quid, but if you live with a partner who’s lucky enough to have a wage then you’ll get nothing.
They haven’t been given definitive direction to close, but all of their clients are cancelling and their industries are mounting pressure and shame on them to close - the same people who are getting grants and their staff are getting 80% of their wages paid.
They know they have to do social distancing. But they are a few days away from zero income.
And these people have built their businesses from zero with unimaginable amounts of blood, sweat and tears.
Please be compassionate and empathetic to your freelancer friends, their world is crumbling around them and they are haven’t been thrown the same lifeline as you. They are being forced to make horrendously difficult decisions and don’t need any more shame from anyone else.

My office in Hethersett is operated on a one-to-one basis and as always, is maintained to high hygiene standards. I have plenty of hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes to keep all my clients safe.

WORLD BOOK DAY I am at The Indigo Dyslexia Centre Indigo Dyslexia Centre Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge in Norwich today. Pop and see us and have a yummy cake. We would love to see pictures of you children dressed up for World Book Day😀

Lynn suffered for years with discomfort when reading and looking at computer screens. When her daughter was assessed and prescribed precision tinted specs by me, she thought would get tested too. When Lynn put her new specs on this morning, she was instantly relieved and described how everything seemed calmer and much more comfortable to see. Lynn is wearing her prescription as Varifocals, with the precision tint incorporated.

Krystyna collected her new Precision Tinted specs this evening, and was very happy with the instant relief they gave her eyes.

Isabelle collected her new Precision Tinted specs this evening. She previously had a green tint so was very excited and pleased with her new colour. She bought me a present to say Thanks, bless her.😀😀

Its nearly Friday...

Grace collected her prescription glasses (clear ones) and her precision tinted glasses (which also contain her prescription) this evening, and rated her tinted ones 10/10 for improvement. As you can see, I also do clear prescription glasses.

Lucy collected her new glasses this morning and rated them ‘above 10/10’ for improvement. 😀😀
