About Claverhambury Carp Lakes
We have two lakes. The Bottom Lake (the lake nearest the car park) is our match lake. It is stocked with carp, roach and rudd. The top lake is stocked with all carp. Both lakes have fish going into double figures.
Claverhambury Carp Lakes Description
The Bottom Lake, nearest the car park is our match lake. It is stocked with carp - plenty of doubles up to 30lb Roach - plenty of fish up to 2lb and some Rudd. The lake is approximately 2 acres, 20 feet deep at the car park end and shallows towards the far end with a central channel. Match weights can run into treble figures. There are 35 pegs spaced approximately 15 /20 feet apart.
The Top lake is a short walk around the Match Lake and across the field. It is stocked with carp only - up to 20lb with lots of doubles. This lake is easier to fish and good for beginners. The lake is approximately 2 acres, 20 spaces but no numbered pegs, from 3 to 10 feet apart.
We open at 6. 30am and close at 7pm - or as it gets dark in winter. There is no night fishing.
There is a toilet block with hot and cold water.
We regret we do not have any specific disabled facilities but please telephone Ellie who may be able to help.
Please be aware that as a working farm, for the sake of safety, the surrounding area and adjacent fields should not be trespassed upon.
Other rules: No barbed hooks. No keep nets unless authorised. All fish are to be returned alive, uninjured. Only two rods and lines permitted, extra rods, please ask. No dogs, open fires or litter. Use the car park, do not cause obstructions. All anglers must have a valid Environment Agency rod licence.

There was a mini match on 18th August on the Bottom Lake. The first five caught 335lb between them. Well done gentlemen!

The Bottom lake will be closed for a match on Sunday 7th January
Well, the lakes aren't frozen this morning, but the road is REALLY slippery. Please bear this in mind if the temperature stays low and you are thinking of venturing our way in the next couple of days.
The match advertised for Sunday 27th August has been cancelled. Both lakes will now be open for public fishing this weekend.

I have checked the lakes twice today. They didn't defrost in the winter sun this afternoon.
