Where do I start...

Overall when I walked in and saw the menu and ordered the food I had high expectations but the end result was past the expectations I expected. Every bite of the cheesy Kothu made me realise how I felt when I experienced Christmas for the first time. I recommend everyone to visit this place once a week to admire what a real Kothu taste like.

When I walked in and saw the Menu, first thing that captured my immediate attention was the cheesy mixed Kothu roti (a well known signature sri lankan dish). The reason behind it was that I never tried a "cheesy" Kothu in my life. I must say it was a blast to heaven the moment I let my taste buds sink the taste of the perfectly evenly mixed chicken and lamb Kothu. Hats off to Wicky (the guy who served us) who actually cooked it fresh in front of us and was super friendly. It's very hard to meet chefs these days who actually love what they do and be super passionate about it and Wicky is one of them. I'd def recommend this little hidden gem in Watford. Slightly wished there was one closer to me though. Good luck ;)

Traditional SL dishes are on point and hats off to the chef. And the team in Claypot goes above and beyond on customer services.

I am a big fan of savoury food Rolls, Cutlet, Samusa, Paties and others. I like to to see Ulundhu Vade (Spicy Doughnuts), Isso Vade (Prawn Cakes) and Parippu Vade (Lentil Cakes) in your menu.

Paratha needs a gravy to go and ideally fish dish. Please bring more SL fish curries into your menu. Always feels home when visit Claypot hence the home made food request.

Price is very reasonable and service is professional too. The food taste fresh and cleanliness is never a question.

We get food from Claypot pretty much every week and this place sure takes us one step close to home. With fresh food tailored to your taste buds and with an amazing staff you really can't ask for more.

This is the place if you want to have a real Asian street food.. you won't be disappointed 5*

The best Sri Lankan street food I’ve ever had around London + surrounding areas. Definitely have to try the bad boy cheese Kotthu. Starters and other dishes are on point too. Great Staff...Can’t wait to have some ‘Claypot’ food again!!!

One of the best restaurant in Watford, that serves delicious food and the staffs are amazing too. I will definetly go back again and 100% recommend it to everyone.

I have been to many restaurants in London with my girlfriend over the last few years and this is the best place in the UK you can have Lovely Sri Lankan food. I am so glad that claypot team work really hard to give us the best quality fresh food from the kitchen. They take time to make our lovely tasty fresh food and it's really worth it. Taste,quality,Freshness and friendly customer service is the best out of Claypot. Can't wait to have some nice food again. Well done Claypot.

Five stars from me. We've had Claypot's food on several occasions and have loved it every time. Everything we have tried is brilliant with real depth of flavour. Excellent range of heat levels too: extra hot is perfect for me while medium tingles the tongues of the rest of the family. Superb value for interesting and slightly unusual (for North Watford) Asian cuisine.

Excellent and unusual local food. The chicken curry is as authentic tasting curry I’ve had, brilliant with a fresh parotta. The twice cooked lamb is delicious and kottu unusual but tasty!



The samosas and fish rotti are dry not oily and have a properly delicious amount of spice and chilli in them. Best of all lots of the dishes and bread is prepared fresh in front of your eyes.



I’d really recommend giving this place a try.

Claypot is always perfect whether it be the little snack you need or a full dinner. The dishes are bursting with flavour and keep you returning. I've been a customer since the day it opened, lovely food.

Clay pot is the place to go when ur burning in the stomach and wallet. They do such great food for such reasonable prices, some times you cannot believe the deals!! Try their mutton Kothu or chicken dosa with over generous serving portions.



Don't forget to spark off a fun conversation while you wait for your food to be freshly prepared in front of you. Once the guys get friendly they have great stories to tell you ��

Amazed with selection of Sri Lankan dishes available. Short-eats as well as main dishes. I recommend Claypot to any of my European friends. Dishes prepared to the expected spice level. I suggest you try the very hot version once to feel the real Sri Lankan flavour.

A few things about Sri Lankan food can be said with certainty, Sri Lankans thoroughly love spices, they love food that explodes with flavor, and many enjoy deep fried, and very tasty, snacks. Whatever you choose to eat in Claypot, your mouth is going to rejoice with happiness.
