Clement Browne quoted for and subsequently supplied and fitted two sets of shutters to the front (both upstairs and down) of my London home.

Clement Browne were excellent from start to finish.

Plenty of time was taken during the measuring visit and there was no pressure from their representative- just attention to detail and a desire to meet my expectations.

The product was supplied within the specified period of 12 weeks.

Fitting was undertaken with the same scrupulous care. Andrew was prompt and worked with great diligence to ensure that the job was completed to a high and exacting standard, with a great deal of time being devoted to minor fine-tuning adjustments to ensure that all was satisfactory.

I cannot praise Clement-Browne too highly.

Unfortunately, the service from John Lewis was extremely poor. I visited four of their stores prior to making contact with Clement-Browne and they were unhelpful in each one, showing no understanding of the product range. When I attempted to place my order after the visit from Clemens-Browne it took over a week and multiple telephone calls to John Lewis numbers achieve this. If I could have excluded them from the transaction and dealt directly with Clement-Browne I would have done so.

All in all, an exemplary service was delivered by Clement-Browne and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Had a hiccup along the way but nothing that wasn’t sorted.

Great service throughout from booking a quotation, receiving confirmation and sample pack to installation. The sample pack was self explanatory and made the process so much easier to choose in advance of our appointment, great idea! There was a long period from ordering to installing, however the shutters were well worth the wait! They may not be the cheapest but the quality and workmanship makes it worthwhile. Our fitter took time and pride in his work and was very clean and tidy. Very pleased with the service and would definitely use again! Thank you.

We were happy with the shutters supplied and the fit. However following a scratch to one panel (a result from have work done in our home so not their fault) they wanted a £75 call out fee for something which they asked for a photograph of to view when they thought it was under warranty. There was no explanation of why there was a call out fee or what it included other than just to look at the scratch we sent them a photo of. We are very local to the service and always try and support local where we can, but feel a call out fee for something simple like this is very poor service given the money we spent with them. We are happy to pay to get it repaired but feel that this was an expense too far for someone to just pop 5 minutes down the road, look at the scratch and let us know how much it would be to fix it.

Awful service. We’re based in the north east and found the fitter difficult to work with, the sales support on the telephone was a mixed bag between good and incompetent and the manager, when I had to speak to her, was incredibly rude.

Because of various issues it was 6 months between ordering and having the shutters fitted then the fitted turned up on the day with someone else’s shutters for our upstairs! We ended up cancelling that set and getting cheaper elsewhere. The look of end result of our fitting is ok, they aren’t fitted flush on one side but they are on the other which is annoying and we notice (although I assume other people probably don’t). After only a couple of months some are loose while others are stiff and don’t close properly.



I’m just so glad we went through John Lewis who were amazing in negotiating our refund for the incorrect shutters despite the rude manager.

Clement Browne were excellent from start to finish.

Plenty of time was taken during the measuring visit and there was no pressure from their representative- just attention to detail and a desire to meet my expectations.

The product was supplied within the specified period of 12 weeks.

Fitting was undertaken with the same scrupulous care. Andrew was prompt and worked with great diligence to ensure that the job was completed to a high and exacting standard, with a great deal of time being devoted to minor fine-tuning adjustments to ensure that all was satisfactory.

I cannot praise Clement-Browne too highly.

Unfortunately, the service from John Lewis was extremely poor. I visited four of their stores prior to making contact with Clement-Browne and they were unhelpful in each one, showing no understanding of the product range. When I attempted to place my order after the visit from Clemens-Browne it took over a week and multiple telephone calls to John Lewis numbers achieve this. If I could have excluded them from the transaction and dealt directly with Clement-Browne I would have done so.

All in all, an exemplary service was delivered by Clement-Browne and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

The sample pack was self explanatory and made the process so much easier to choose in advance of our appointment, great idea! There was a long period from ordering to installing, however the shutters were well worth the wait! They may not be the cheapest but the quality and workmanship makes it worthwhile. Our fitter took time and pride in his work and was very clean and tidy. Very pleased with the service and would definitely use again! Thank you.

We were happy with the shutters supplied and the fit. However following a scratch to one panel (a result from have work done in our home so not their fault) they wanted a £75 call out fee for something which they asked for a photograph of to view when they thought it was under warranty. There was no explanation of why there was a call out fee or what it included other than just to look at the scratch we sent them a photo of. We are very local to the service and always try and support local where we can, but feel a call out fee for something simple like this is very poor service given the money we spent with them. We are happy to pay to get it repaired but feel that this was an expense too far for someone to just pop 5 minutes down the road, look at the scratch and let us know how much it would be to fix it.
