We liked this site. Easy to get to, choice of open or shaded pitches, toilets spotless, friendly wardens, 'council estate' pub friendly showing live football if you want it and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop in WGC. St Albans is a lovely city, loads of Roman history, easy to spend a whole day there. We had no problem with internet access, just couldn't get BBC 1 so had to miss Eurovision. What a shame. Lots to do in the local area but we were only there 2 nights but would definitely go back and obviously great links into London.

Smashing site with great walks through a lovely wood backing onto gorgeous golf course. On arrival really friendly warden facilities excellent.

Second time we've stayed. Trip into London from here is as good as staying inner London. Site is excellent with good access to a pub and bus stop. Staff are top notch as is the site.

User

Right next to QE2 hospital not that you would think so as it's so quite, very clean and very few kids due to there being no facilities for them. Good transport links into town and on to London.

Lovely. Very quiet and peaceful.fantastic walk for the dogs

User

Lovely little site friendly helpful wardens.

Great short train journey into London would recommend a walk down the Canal straight from Kings Cross then to Camden Lock and on to Primrose Hill great views and dog friendly pubs

Don't leave your shoes in the awning or the foxes will take them !!!! Can't be right can it ? I guess we'll find out in the morning.

Very good for a short stay and the next door wood excellent for the dog!

The site was good. Plenty of room, clean facilities. Our only issue was TV reception. We use the site aerial 1st but went over to van one instead. In summer, not a problem but as it was wet...our only issue. Value for money 100% 4 nights £69 December. Thank you Commons Wood staff will defo keep this site in mine when we want London again.
