Counselling For Dancers Description

Terry Hyde MA MBACP (Registered)

Sessions via Skype, phone as well as face to face.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist with an MA in Psychotherapy and Healing Practice, validated by Middlesex University and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I have a background in performance and therefore have insider knowledge of the life of a performing artist.

Having worked as a professional dancer with two of the UK's main ballet companies, as well as performing in a number of musicals in London's West End and on television, I understand the mental and physical demands that performers experience.

From stage fright to burnout, loss of work due to injury, failed auditions, low self-esteem, early retirement or coming to a crossroads in your life, I have seen or experienced all of these. I have also seen many fellow performers struggle with a wide range of personal challenges: from difficult relationships, problems with mental and physical heath; in fact the same problems experienced by many people from all walks of life.

It doesn't matter where in the world you are you can have sessions via Skype.
