I'm Daisy : )
I am a Pilates Instructor and a Beauty and Massage Therapist, I live in Watford and I am inviting you to come with me on a journey of health and happiness. In this crazy thing we call life we all go through many ups and downs, it is improtant that in the midst of these we remember to take care of ourselves, our minds and our bodies. I am here and want to help you do that. Join me, at the Holywell Community Centre, Watford, Tuesday evenings, at 7pm and Thursday mornings 9: 30am for my mixed abilities Pilates class. I welcome all levels, whether Pilates has been just a thought in your mind or you have been practicing it for years, I would love to see you there. Im also available for privite classes. Do drop me a message, or email if you have if would like to pre book for my class, if you would like to enquire about privite sessions or if you have any questions. Come as you are and become who you want to be.

โจWatford Joggers Pilates session โจ Here I am guiding them through the role down. The roll down is great for mobilising the back and spinal column, increasing flexibility of the erector spinae muscles and also the hamstrings. I have added the back of the hand join into the roll down to increase the stretch around the shoulders, through to the lower back. At the bottom Iโve included the arm sweep stretch to open up their side, to stretch further through the shoulders to the l...ats and obliques. Hiii ๐ I have posted on my story about hyperpigmentation and touched slightly on how it has affected me. This picture was taken about an hour after I had woken up I have BARE skin (with only moisturiser and SPF applied) There are many causes of pigmentation where melanin production is increased and some of those are: sun damage, hormonal imbalance, stress and pregnancy. Iโve always except on a few occasions been really good with applying sun cream ESPECIALLY when I was youn...ger so I was shocked and confused when my skin changed and these marks appeared. Mum did that thing when I was small where she applies it, you ask if itโs all rubbed in and she lies to you and says โYes ๐โ. I have a large triangle shaped hyper pigmented area on my forehead that revealed its self to me a few years ago but Iโm not entirely sure what caused this. The darker areas on my skin under my eye (no not the bags, the other bits ๐ซ๐) I believe has been caused through wearing highlighter and no spf a few years ago (when I first discovered highlighter ๐ฌ) Because highlighter causes the skin to be extremely radiant and kinda shiny it attracts the sun rays. My pigmentation is not something you would notice if I was wearing make up but it is something that I notice everyday and it bothers me. It is something that I need to manage and protect otherwise it will just continue to darken and damage my skin further. I wanted to share this despite my nerves and insecurities because many of you may not be aware of hyper pigmentation or think that it could effect you. It doesnโt matter your age or your skin type as hyperpigmentation affects us all. You can get creams that help reduce the appearance of pigmentation or laser treatment but it can take a long time, it can be very expensive and also permanent removal is not guaranteed. I would like us to all remain healthy and have beautiful skin that WE see and feel the beauty in so factor up guys not just your face but EVERYWHERE and protect your beautiful bodies ๐๐ผโจ

And popping pills due to chronic anxiety I been saw the problem but stay silent 'cause I ain't Jesus This ain't no trial if you desire go higher please But fuck that now I'm older I love you 'cause you my friend Without the drugs I want you be comfortable in your skin I know you so I know you still keep a lot of shit in You running from yourself and you buying product again I know you say it helps and no I'm not trying to offend But I know depression and drug addiction don't blend Reality distorts and then you get lost in the wind And I done seen the combo take people off the deep end One thing about your demons they bound to catch up one day I'd rather see you stand up and face them than run away I understand this message is not the coolest to say But if you down to try it I know of a better way Meditate Donโt medicate - Jcole

I am super excited to be hosting the Wellbeing Workshops at The Grove, London's Country Estate from April 1st-April 3rd 8pm- 9pm. Split gang! Today I wasnโt feeling exercising instead I was feeling nackered, food and bed plz n thank u lol, buttt I got on the treadmill after teaching my last class and thought, Iโll just take it easy... got my music going and before I new it I was pushing myself and going iiiin ๐ 1 hour later and Iโm so glad I stayed. You know them times our mind tries to play tricks on us sometimes we fall for it, sometimes we donโt ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐

Pilates in the comfort of your own home? Okay ๐ Here my lovely clients are in the midst of prone leg lifts. For this exercise: Prone position (on tummy) Forehead resting on backs of hands, facing mat (adjust if uncomfortable), Legs long, hip width apart,... Pelvis to remain stable and on your mat, Chest and arms relaxed, Inhale to prepare, Exhale to engage core- draw navel up away from mat and lift a single leg to start, Squeeze gluteals to lift leg (if your leg bends at knee you are using too much hamstring) Leg should remain long through lift and lowering (its all about the length NOT the height of the leg) Plantar flex foot throughout (toes pointing away from you) Inhale to lower, keep length in leg, 6-8 repetitions on each side then if youโre wanting to challenge yourself further left both legs simultaneously. If you feel pressure in your lower back when lifting single legs you could put your hips on a small cushion or look at how high your leg is lifting and lower this, if you are feeling this tension I would also not recommend progressing onto lifting both legs together.
THIS EXERCISE IS GREAT FOR: Toning and strengthening gluteus maximus and hamstrings, stabilising spine and pelvis, improving hip extension ๐
