What a fantastic recommendation (thanks Chris & Simon). We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon only to be met with courteous professionalism throughout.

This is NOT your usual garden centre cafe. This is an experience for you to savour and enjoy. So, take your time and do not expect reformed ham and offer wrapped sandwiches.

The front of house staff are courteous and knowledgeable and the experience starts with them.

We can vouch for the delicious homemade cordials. Really refreshing. The food is something to savour. Having had breakfast at lunchtime. I can say the granola is divine.

The Cilbir is a great combination of flavours and textures. You absolutely need a slice of pump st sourdough to mop up all the delicious butter. The eggs and bacon were a treat too.

But, why just have breakfast when you can have dessert too. A wonderful cheesecake and equally sublime lemon posset. Scraping of the plate is required.

The decor and ambience are as relaxing as they are attractive. From the funky floor through to the great use of light and views over the garden centre.

The provenance of the food is visible and the food miles for a lot of products is zero as it comes from the gardens you can walk around.

The icing on the cake is the summerhouse. A lovely space using a lot of reclaimed materials.

It's no wonder why there guys have been listed in the top 100 UK restaurants. A wonderful experience which, we have already repeated and will be again soon.

User

What a fantastic place. Food was outstanding, decor beautiful and staff were friendly and welcomed us and our dog. Wish that we lived closer but will return when we are next in the area.

User

We are the proud owners of three beautiful birch trees, now planted and looking magnificent we were helped in the process of buying the trees by Kevin who gave us useful tips on planting. Best garden centre in the area.

User

The food here is amazing! A great range of fresh ingredients and wonderful flavour combinations.

User

So lucky to have this close-by. Very tasty and interesting food, friendly and helpful staff and we can get a late lunch having done our chores - such a treat.

User

User

Pastries we're to die for Coffee was super too. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to any one passing

User

Lovely variety of fruit and vegetable growing plants. Enjoyed bringing home 4 blueberry bushes this morning. We also had breakfast. Good wholesome, homemade food by people with passion for life!

User

Lovely plant nursery with some unusual varieties. I bought two artichoke plants as the flowers were so decorative. Great "cafe" (it's more than that) with a superb and original menu and very helpful and friendly service.. We liked the owner and his selective shop. Have been there twice with friends and we enjoyed it immensely. Really recommend it.

User

Just stopped at Darsham Nurseries for lunch and would have to say it was the best food I have tasted in a very long time. Fresh seasonal ingredients cooked with great care and attention to detail. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely put this place on my regular list.

User

It's not often you go to a place that you can't fault. Really enjoyed strolling around the nursery and kitchen garden. So beautifully nurtured. Then we had some cake / lunch (couldn't decide) in the cafe and it was amazing. Wonderful fresh food with a difference. Staff could not be more helpful or friendly. Lovely! We will be back.

User

I've been in twice recently once for breakfast and once for lunch. The food is amazing, service is great and I just love the décor!

The shop and nursery is fantastic too.

User

I wish I lived nearer this place... just the perfect spot for brunch. Don't miss the charred kale - the best greens I've ever had. Bottomless coffee. Bloody Marys. Perfect poached eggs. Can't wait to go back. Book ahead at weekends as it's a small place that gets very busy!

User

Fabulous food, great staff. Unfortunately could not buy in the shop as flying home tomorrow., but if I had been able to there was a great selection of quality and quirky goods including some great sneeboer hand tools. The nursery had a really good edit of interesting plants. Will be back soon with the car!

User

Fabulous food ... always an exciting choice of unusual, beautifully presented sharing plates, veg & salads are freshly picked from their own garden... local seasonal changes using what’s available such as pheasant & Jerusalem artichoke on the menu now.

We had been worried that things would change with the new chef & team ...they have... but the menu is even better. Nice to see a few old favourites have been kept! Sunday brunch is fun with a negroni or Bloody Mary to start. Big thumbs up!

Glad I live in the area!!!

User

Fabulous food - chef really knows how to combine flavour and texture. Wonderful shop with interesting beautiful items. Friendly expert nursery where fresh food grown in designer style is used in the kitchen. So unusual; such a treat!

User

Darsham Nurseries hosted a private birthday celebration for me and my sister - Joe (whose birthday it also was!) and the team worked so hard to make it the perfect evening for us -the food and the cocktails were great - and the garden looked wonderful on a balmy summer evening . A wonderfully different place to have a celebration - can't praise this place and the staff enough ! Thanks Joe & Co !

User

Called in to Darsham Nurseries today. Have lived in Darsham for a few years and still hadn't been here so made the effort today and I am so glad I did. I was greeted by old friend David in the cafe. I had a pot of Earl Grey tea (with real tea leaves!) and a slice of beer and cacao cake which was delicious. All the staff are charming and helpful. The shop is very stylish and outside there is a very good selection of plants. I had a wander around the potager which is where things are grown for use in the cafe. Also the cafe is having some themed nights this year which sound wonderful. Dates etc can be picked up from the cafe. All in all a lovely afternoon. A jewel in the Suffolk countryside and well worth a visit. I shall definitely be going back.
