Christmas has come a little early for our racquets members and Indoor courts 7-11 are now officially open!
Courts can now be booked in club and through the David Lloyd App. Come and give them a try soon!

We are delighted to say that the indoor pool will be reopened today from 11:00! As such, the Swimming All Stars lessons will be running as normal this evening from 16:00.
Lastly, again thank you for your patience and understanding in the matter and we look forward to seeing you all in club again soon.

Good news!
The update on the indoor pool situation is that the pool is continuing to fill at the expected level which means we are still on track to open the pool tomorrow.
Subject to the pool continuing to fill at the current rate and providing the chemical levels remain safe, we anticipate the indoor pool to reopen in the early part of tomorrow afternoon. We will send a further update in due course to confirm once the pool has reopened. In the meantime, thank you for your... patience whilst we resolve this issue and don’t forget that your membership also allows access to the local David Clubs at Northwood, Sudbury Hill, Finchley and Hatfield if you wanted to squeeze a dip in tonight!

Following the update earlier today regarding the indoor pool, we are happy to say that an engineer has attended the site and has now rectified the issue.
At present, the pool is refilling and we expect this to take at least 24 hours for it to return to the normal level. Following the refill, we will also need to allow sufficient time for the correct chemical balance and temperature to be restored. Therefore, as things stand we will be hoping to reopen the indoor pool on Frida...y morning. The outdoor pool, baby pool and spa areas are unaffected by this issue and remain open.
As such, we will be cancelling all Swim All Stars lessons for tomorrow and we will be in contact to arrange a refund for these sessions. For those of you looking to attend Aqua at 11:45 tomorrow with Celia, this will also be cancelled. However, Celia will be delivering a Prama Life session in Aqua's usual slot - so no excuse to miss out on your workout!
We will update you all tomorrow on the status of the pool and subsequently any changes to the expected re-opening time. We will also be posting updates through this Facebook page along with our Instagram page - @davidlloydbushey
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this period, but fingers crossed we'll be back up and running as soon as possible.

***Urgent update***
Unfortunately we have had an issue with one of our pool pumps overnight which has led to our main indoor pool draining itself of water. We have an engineer visiting the club at 9am and we will update you on the progress of the repairs when we know more, but for now the main indoor pool is out of action.
All other pools and spas are unaffected and this issue only affecting the main indoor pool.

Love it here - can always swim inside or out all day, every day. Great cafe with Costa coffee, huge very well equipped gym and nice to relax in steam room, sauna or in jacuzzi. Love the huge variety of fitness classes included in price too

Had a fab two weeks for £14, so decided I just had to join. A few minor issues at the beginning so complained and Darren soon rang back and sorted everything out. Love this club its family friendly, awesome classes the energy of the instructors is electric and bounces from person to person, best classes ever!!!! Yet to use the gym, but fab fab classes and a great class timetable.... thank you

David Lloyd staff are great. Just had tennis morning in memory of my husband Tony. Management so helpful.franchesa organised the tennis she's fantastic.lovely players and coaches. Lunch afterwards.made money for chai and cancer research..it's my second home always someone to talk to if I'm not swimming or playing tennis.thanks David Lloyd.

I love it at the Lyod But a Big Issue with floor in male changing room when I get out of shower and sit by locker take flip flops of look at soles and they are covered in nasty hairs you know the ones I mean!!! I have to wash them before I put in my bag, basically I feel the floor should be Moped a lot more often as I have Never seen a cleaner mopping the Floor! The floor is always Thilthy.

Fab club , play tennis nearly everyday. The reception staff are fab at arranging tennis drills too !

My only bad comment is the ladies toilets .... need a refurb !

Other than that everything great from staff to facilities

Nice place, but the cafe staff need to realise that tables need to be cleaned! Every single table outside was dirty . With 3 staff and few people using the facility, I'm sure they could put their time to better use than standing around waiting for customers

The staff are good and friendly but the club has, and is still, suffering badly from a lack of leadership which is causing the problems in physical and service standards and morale. There is little cohesion and positive team spirit displayed and I'm sure the staff must be feeling it as well as the members. Come on David Lloyd - Get a decent leader in their to look after and direct the staff and the rest will improve rapidly !!!

Signed up for family membership last Sunday. Very excited to spend time with my family getting into the best health we can.

Got booked in for my Gym induction at 8:30am today Saturday.



Arrived on time,told by ladies on reception, they had been trying to call me to cancel.....NO missed calls on my phone.

Told not to worry they had a Trainer who could run my session.

Told to go to the gym and meet him????? How/where.... new member given NO guidance. Found gym.... stood 5mins looking lost.... then spotted someone in Trainer kit and asked them if they knew where I should go.... he was the Trainer assigned to me.. happily I followed him into the office. Then a bad morning got a lot worst ... he had booked me for 4 x 30 min sessions.... only on the 4th of these would I received the promised training plan.

At the point of sale I was told I would have an induction and a plan ..only one meeting.��.. Trainer said did not have time today for what I needed. So booked session for following Saturday He then escorted me out .... 10 mins later.....

Absolute waste of my time and totally inappropriate approach.

I'm still to have a positive experience. I've found that the sales team have no clue about what's is included in each packaged and I do feel I was mis-sold because I as clear about what I wanted and it wasn't included in my packaged regardless how many times I've asked prior to signed the contract. I was informed what I wanted was extra after signed the contract and Parking is absolutely a nightmare! I've missed quite few classes because I have to wait for parking!

Not sure if it worth the price they charge because as mentioned I'm still to have a positive experience. May worth trying another club.

Well I have always enjoyed visiting David Lloyd but today I was horrified as I became a victim of a islamophobic racial attack at this Leisure club. I used the indoor pool for approximately 45mins at around lunchtime and at the time of leaving the premises there was a lady at reception speaking to a member of staff and gesturing towards me using words such as 'that's her' and 'here she comes'. I approached to enquire if there was a problem only to be told by her that she felt that my attire was inappropriate and that other members felt the same. I was wearing a british standards burkini of leggings and a top (no headwear) which really should not have affected her in any way whilst in the pool and was within the clubs required policy. She became very vocal, aggressive and disrespectful and she also accused me of contaminating the pool with my swimwear. She also made other derogatory comments with regards to my faith. I was totally shocked by her attitude and outburst. I am still in disbelief that I was a target of this type of bigotry. I must however stress that Natalie Parkins (manager) was extremely excellent and professional in the way that she handled this unsavoury individual.

Where to start! Sauna always breaking, flooded smelly water on the exit of the men's changing room, soap dispenser in the showers is of poor quality, food takes a while even at quiet times, toilets smell, too many children, dirty towels left in the changing room.........

I signed up with David Lloyd on 29th January 2014 after viewing the facilities and liking what I saw. The lady that talked me through the membership options was very helpful and told me that if I paid £99 I receive a free guest pass per month as well as being able to use other David Lloyd clubs. This was ideal for me so I went ahead and joined. You can imagine my humiliation then when I turned up at the Hatfield centre only to be turned away and told I would have to pay guest fees, even though I was under the impression that I was paying extra to use other gyms. Once I put this forward to Bushey gym I was told there is nothing they can do and I would have to pay £20 on top for this package. Has this happened to anyone else? If I knew it would cost me £117 a month I would never have signed up and I feel I have been lied to, to just to get a sale.

Really not happy with the DL Kids team i have booked my daughters birthday party for this Saturday (20th May) and i have been calling for the last 5 days trying to confirm final numbers and food with them but either nobody answers or they promise to call back and don't! I picked DL as i thought it was be stress free for me but sadly its the other way! I am now trying to find an alternative facility at really short notice thanks to the lack of communication with DL! Don't book here unless you want untold amounts of stress!

One star is way to high! I signed up for 14 days trial on the web site received the message that Club will be in touch to arrange. I heard nothing for over a week. When I called a club to follow up, I faced an example of very bad customer service. I was told that offer is not on anymore, despite me signing for it on DL website. Not helpful, no apologies and no minimum effort to resolve the situation. Disgusting!

Not good , even though work is being carried out I can live with this , as my mind goes to when this is complete it will be lovely ..



Constructive feedback , your banner contradicates the experience you get , restaurant and club in general filthy , restaurant filthy, declined to eat in restaurant ..



Staff in gym , got a guy who went extra mile tattoo on calf muscle , outstanding you are , then asked another member of gym team a question , she was too busy on phone to even have time for me ... found answer myself ... at over 400 a month spend I expect high level of service



Restaurant staff are so laid back like I cannot be bothered , uniforms not clean either , very frustrating

Had the worst experience trying to speak to a member of staff about a membership. 3 days later, 20 phone calls and 3 promises of a call back and still nothing.

After getting my son a 3 month membership , being told I wasn’t in a contract, I have now been charged for a 4th month as I was supposed to cancel with a months notice. How can you cancel if you only take up a 3 month membership!! Really bad customer service!!!!

Got to the gym (Bushey) this morning to find that the annual lockers (which I pay for) had been emptied, along with quite a few others. Whose brainchild was it to randomly empty all the lockers without any prior warning. I wasn't alone this morning feeling stressed and angry at what had happened...all of this could have been avoided with a notice in reception displayed a few days in advance. I felt for Margaret who was managing the angry members as best she could, one poor chap pulled his suit out of the bin bag they had kindly dumped everything in and it looked like it had been in the wash basket...where was the operations manager who was supposedly dealing with this event..."Oh he's not in until 2pm". After reclaiming my green bin bags I asked for a couple padlocks to which I was asked if I would like to "rent it or buy it"...what a joke. Your management of this "Locker Emptying Event" and David Lloyd Bushey in general is a complete disgrace.

Fed up of the club updating the menu without asking the members what we like to eat, no wraps, porridge now comes with new accompaniments which aren't to my taste and which they didn't have in the kitchen anyway, without an alternative offered

I approached to enquire if there was a problem only to be told by her that she felt that my attire was inappropriate and that other members felt the same. I was wearing a british standards burkini of leggings and a top (no headwear) which really should not have affected her in any way whilst in the pool and was within the clubs required policy. She became very vocal, aggressive and disrespectful and she also accused me of contaminating the pool with my swimwear. She also made other derogatory comments with regards to my faith. I was totally shocked by her attitude and outburst. I am still in disbelief that I was a target of this type of bigotry. I must however stress that Natalie Parkins (manager) was extremely excellent and professional in the way that she handled this unsavoury individual.

Too many complaints and nothing being done about them.



Where to start! Sauna always breaking, flooded smelly water on the exit of the men's changing room, soap dispenser in the showers is of poor quality, food takes a while even at quiet times, toilets smell, too many children, dirty towels left in the changing room.........

Soo disappointed with the Bushey branch.

I signed up with David Lloyd on 29th January 2014 after viewing the facilities and liking what I saw. The lady that talked me through the membership options was very helpful and told me that if I paid £99 I receive a free guest pass per month as well as being able to use other David Lloyd clubs. This was ideal for me so I went ahead and joined. You can imagine my humiliation then when I turned up at the Hatfield centre only to be turned away and told I would have to pay guest fees, even though I was under the impression that I was paying extra to use other gyms. Once I put this forward to Bushey gym I was told there is nothing they can do and I would have to pay £20 on top for this package. Has this happened to anyone else? If I knew it would cost me £117 a month I would never have signed up and I feel I have been lied to, to just to get a sale.

Really not happy with the DL Kids team i have booked my daughters birthday party for this Saturday (20th May) and i have been calling for the last 5 days trying to confirm final numbers and food with them but either nobody answers or they promise to call back and don't! I picked DL as i thought it was be stress free for me but sadly its the other way! I am now trying to find an alternative facility at really short notice thanks to the lack of communication with DL! Don't book here unless you want untold amounts of stress!

One star is way to high! I signed up for 14 days trial on the web site received the message that Club will be in touch to arrange. I heard nothing for over a week. When I called a club to follow up, I faced an example of very bad customer service. I was told that offer is not on anymore, despite me signing for it on DL website. Not helpful, no apologies and no minimum effort to resolve the situation. Disgusting!

Not good , even though work is being carried out I can live with this , as my mind goes to when this is complete it will be lovely ..

Staff in gym , got a guy who went extra mile tattoo on calf muscle , outstanding you are , then asked another member of gym team a question , she was too busy on phone to even have time for me ... found answer myself ... at over 400 a month spend I expect high level of service



Restaurant staff are so laid back like I cannot be bothered , uniforms not clean either , very frustrating

Had the worst experience trying to speak to a member of staff about a membership. 3 days later, 20 phone calls and 3 promises of a call back and still nothing.

After getting my son a 3 month membership , being told I wasn’t in a contract, I have now been charged for a 4th month as I was supposed to cancel with a months notice. How can you cancel if you only take up a 3 month membership!! Really bad customer service!!!!

Got to the gym (Bushey) this morning to find that the annual lockers (which I pay for) had been emptied, along with quite a few others. Whose brainchild was it to randomly empty all the lockers without any prior warning. I wasn't alone this morning feeling stressed and angry at what had happened...all of this could have been avoided with a notice in reception displayed a few days in advance. I felt for Margaret who was managing the angry members as best she could, one poor chap pulled his suit out of the bin bag they had kindly dumped everything in and it looked like it had been in the wash basket...where was the operations manager who was supposedly dealing with this event..."Oh he's not in until 2pm". After reclaiming my green bin bags I asked for a couple padlocks to which I was asked if I would like to "rent it or buy it"...what a joke. Your management of this "Locker Emptying Event" and David Lloyd Bushey in general is a complete disgrace.

Fed up of the club updating the menu without asking the members what we like to eat, no wraps, porridge now comes with new accompaniments which aren't to my taste and which they didn't have in the kitchen anyway, without an alternative offered
