by far my absolute favourite place to be. whenever i'm over in brighton i tend to go to dead wax every night, either to stay until they close or just for a few beers. either way it's always such good fun! great music, amazing barstaff (super super nice and lovely) and just a really cozy, comfortable kind of atmosphere.

Well my experience was gorgeous so was the pizza and the craft beers, really great music too and the staff were fantastic even though it was packed to the rafters. Absolutely a must. X

We found this little hidden gem by mistake and we went in for a drink bar staff incredibly friendly drinks were nice and pizza was excellent will Be going back there again And highly recommend ... a great place !!!

The look of the place is incredible the service is lovely and the staff were very attentive making sure that everything was fine the wait was not too long

Having just had my body piercing studio's 18th birthday drinks reception there I can wholeheartedly recommend dead wax social. Management were professional yet laid back about all aspects from guest lists and drinks tokens to bar tabs and decorations. Was supposed to finish at 8 but the party was going strong so we continued and we did not feel obliged to leave. 100% will use again for future events.

Great venue to launch our new Sussex rum Cloven Hoof! Orlagh and the gang are Brighton's best!

Great vegan pizza and a wonderful warm welcome to us, our Irish Wolfhounds and my disabled daughter and her disabled boyfriend who were on a (chaperoned) date. Thank you. X

Fantastic beer selection, and the pizza was absolutely incredible. Was surprised by how quiet it was when we went. Have had excellent service every time we've gone in for a beer, and when we went in today, the servers were nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

Popped into this funky bar & had a fantastic pizza from the extensive menu...fresh & made to order, extremely tasty and filling totally recommend! Good atmosphere, great music & friendly staff...exactly what you want in a bar! Will be coming back. Claire

Poor customer service. Refused to change a friend's drink, which tasted like Barcardi, when she'd ordered vodka. It should have been changed as a good will gesture, if nothing else. Bar staff insisted it was vodka but all 4 of us thought it was Barcardi. As a result, we went elsewhere after one drink. Shame, as it was a nice little place otherwise.

Do not go here if you are a large party!!!



I booked a table for 10 people last night for my birthday. Dead Wax informed me that I would need to send my food order for a large party over a week in advance, which is what I did. Despite this, we arrived at 7:30pm on the dot for our reservation and we received our food an hour and a half later...Meaning we missed out drink reservations.



The staff weren't very apologetic and the whole ordeal was very frustrating as we were all hungry, and this was supposed to be a celebratory meal!



I won't be rushing back unfortunately!

Dead Wax has a great atmosphere, and great beer, but inconstant service and food. The last time we were there we had to wait an hour for our pizza. It was not busy. The pizza also wasn't as great as it was the last time we were there! But they do vegan pizza which is pretty cool, just wish it was a bit more consistent.

Salty pizza, lacking of ingredients. Staff completely ignored us and they were on their own bubble swearing loudly I could hear them over the music. They didn't make a nice and welcoming atmosphere. Felt ripped off for a 9pounds pizza that barely contained the main ingredients. Won't come back.

Easily the worst place I've ever eaten and I'm 40 so I've seen a few. The chefs should be ashamed of themselves. We waited nearly half an hour to get a drink and we were the only ones in there. About an hour and a half to get fed after that. I'll post a picture of what we were served but nobody ever came to check or ask if we were ok. It's a pay up front place and I now understand why.

After booking in advance then giving enough notice of a one day change, I arrived to be told that there wasn't enough dough to make pizza for the 9 of us. We were told that they could make a child's size pizza and a couple of garlic breads to share and some sides. I was, to be fair offered a discount on my bill. I sat down after driving over an hour to get here and explained to the group of us the situation and then someone pointed out that all the staff were happily eating big pizzas, we left at this point. I'm gutted as it looks amazing inside.

We were told that they could make a child's size pizza and a couple of garlic breads to share and some sides. I was, to be fair offered a discount on my bill. I sat down after driving over an hour to get here and explained to the group of us the situation and then someone pointed out that all the staff were happily eating big pizzas, we left at this point. I'm gutted as it looks amazing inside.
