D'Nisi coffee shop in Stranraer is a must! We always stop here first. Mike's favourite is black coffee and a giant meringue and I have the hot chocolate... if you've never tried it you'll never know what a fantastic treat it is. Great service and a smile every time.

Usually pretty nice in the Shawlands branch, especially for the scones, but don't go in within an hour of closing or they'll start putting chairs on the tables and turning the lights off in the chiller cabinets. Managed to get through a Panini in comfort but had to ask for a takeaway cup and a paper bag for my cake because the clinical stench of the bleach in hot water they started using to mop the floor right next to my table 40 minutes before closing was so strong, and not for the first time.

Called in for soup and sandwich at Stranraer yesterday. Place was noit that clean and tables needed clearing. Soup was great but cheese sandwich was horid. Cheese was proceed slice which tasted of cardboard....couldn't get any cheaper quality. Staff great and mentioned grated cheese used for making scones available if we ask. Staff member tried to help telling me this but it's not correct way.

We went for a cooked fry up however although Dā€™nisi offer all day breakfast they donā€™t have a hob so they cannot fry so we ended up with really pale bacon and almost cold breakfast. I donā€™t recommend.

I went back to try the paninis and came with my child who is 13 months. I asked if they could eat up her purĆ©e but was told that they wouldnā€™t as they use industrial microwave, which can make the food too hot. I told the lady that I do taste the food before giving it to my child but she wouldnā€™t do it anyway. She was unphased when I left with my sister in law, so I believe they donā€™t really look for more customers.

I donā€™t recommend this place as it is definitely not child friendly.

We wanted a new hang out place but that will definitely not be this one.

Popped into the Stranraer store, food wasn't too bad however the quality of service lacked. Couple of tables still had the last customer's leftovers on them, staff didn't seem to notice and I was in for a good forty-five minutes, multiple members of staff sat eating lunch and seemingly oblivious to the mess they left, not too impressed with them discussing the discovery of milk going off infront of what few customers there was.

It's not bad, probably won't pop in again. It's a shame, good location and potential.

Will never b back in stranraer's d'nisi coffee shop. Absolutely mingin. Got a takeaway panini...flung in a paper bag. Got to the car and had to put it all bk together. On the plus side think the seagulls enjoyed it ļæ½

Went today for first time asked for two soup and sandwich deals to take away and this is what happened........what kind of fillings all just cheese and something thought ok? So upgraded to a chicken salad and a tuna sandwich asked what kind of soup so chose the lentil and coconut as I said I donā€™t like broth. Then instead of finishing serving me she dittered away and left someone else to finish serving me. So I then requested two scones to go with the 2 soup and sandwich deals stood and waited was given the soup and one sandwich looked at the sandwich and asked where the tuna one was and was told I didnā€™t ask for it does two soup and sandwich deals not register so then had to pay another 3 pounds and wait the sandwich got dumped on the counter and shouted tuna sandwich it was looked at and looked at into i had to ask for it. Got home to discover I had broth and chicken salad was lettuce mayo and a few bits of chicken total waste of money the soup was tasteless and went in the bin and the sandwich was a disgrace to call a salad sandwich at an extra cost at Ā£16 for a takeaway lunch as a chef myself I wouldnā€™t recommend going back to anyone!! Totally disappointed.

I was very disappointed today at the service in your Hamilton shop today. I was served at 13:45 and was still waiting for 3 Jacket Potatoes at 14.40. I went and asked what was happening when the staff just looked at me like I was daft and then said oh it's not even been put on. Why had it not been put on? My 9 year old daughter said the girl on the till told the other girl 3 jacket potatoes. My daughter went to buy another drink before I realised how long we had been waiting. Not even an apology was given or anything. It was here you go, enjoy! I have always went to your shop in Alloa where the staff are caring, friendly and very helpful. Always on the ball! Never again will I be in your Hamilton store.

User

I was in here last week and had a hot choc which was just warm and a yum yum cake which was so stale would never be back in here x

Have been a frequent visitor to Shawlands branch for many years - absolutely loved their pancakes. Was so disappointed to visit on Saturday and be presented with 2 pre made pancakes. When questioned, the (lovely) waiter reported pancakes are now bought in. Despite this, the menu is unchanged and states 'freshly made'. There was nothing fresh about them - they were small and cold. A real disappointment and will not be back.
