A custom BSA for this Customer Photo Friday. We tend to be quite traditional here at Drags but we can still appreciate a good custom project! Thanks Roland for sending this in! A B31 engine in a 'stock' rigid frame. Maybe we'll share the second of his creations next Friday...

A proper ThrowBack Thursday as this photo was found at the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard'. Thank you The Internet for allowing us to share this with everyone. An amazing old snap of a very young looking Roger, sporting one of the very first Draganfly t-shirts back in 1970-something... We could do a rerun of skinny white Drags tshirts if enough people want one? 😆

The Lake Como crossing was a success! Ariel and his Ariel made the trip without sinking and here's the moment they landed on the other side to rounds of applause. Well done Ariel Club!

A rather spectacular and slightly unusual restoration for Customer Photo Friday this week as Terry sent us photos of his finished Ariel Arrow. "The Suzuki front brake has been a lot of work but is amazing - I underestimated how good it would be and the anchor plate arm I made bent! I have now made a new one in 9mm X 30mm ST/ST. I think I will have to put a warning note on the back when riding with other Ariels. The seat hump came out a bit bigger than planned but I will see h...ow it goes during this year and maybe modify it during the winter. I have named the bike Carol after a well known celebrity of the same name who won the rear of the year award a couple of years ago! I have built in a lot of mods so it will be interesting to hear the comments of other Arrow owners particularly the aluminium petrol tank which I love. With both tanks full I wont need to stop for fuel on the rideouts. Many thanks to you and all at Draganfly for your help with this project." Our absolute pleasure Terry! Happy Trails!

More local news as our Colin will be a guest judge at this Classic Vehicle Rally near Drags this weekend! Our Alice is taking her 1967 Volvo Amazon along, Graham's VW Fastback will be there and Military Mick is showing off his Douglas. Colin says he cannot be bribed, but does enjoy a nice slice of cake. Completely unrelated of course. If you're in the area get down there and check out the old bikes!

90 years ago two chaps strapped some floats to an Ariel and 'rode' it across the Channel. Rumour has it that they had to turn around when they reached Calais as they forgot to pack their passports...This Saturday the Italian Ariel Club are planning to recreate this across Lake Como! Here's some footage of the original trip. Classic stuff.

FINISHED!!! Well done to everybody who helped build the Ariel 4G over the Stafford Show weekend and everyone who stopped by and took an interest in the club. Hopefully we'll have a video by the end of the week, technology permitting...
BIG thank you to Bennet at Iron Horse Spares for the photos over the weekend.

Team AOMCC at the Stafford Classic Bike Shows today working away on the Ariel Square Four project!

User

Heading to Stafford for the Classic Bike Shows this weekend? Stop by the Ariel Owners Club stand (Main Hall, M44), they are rebuilding a 1947 rigid Square Four! The bike has been owned by Draganfly since 1983 and was only half complete. The club have 17 hours build time and four pairs of hands....
If you stop by, take a picture and share the progress with us! And maybe take them a cup of tea? Roger likes coffee cake too....
Roger is hoping to film the whole thing and we'll ha...ve the video to share next week (all being well). GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

User

Very impressive visit to Bungay premises & excellent sausage butties around the corner in a friendly cafe.

Didn't take Iain & Roger long to notice the BSAOC Happy People, who were delighted to welcome Draganfly to our Diamond Jubilee Rally & Open Day.

Proof of their confidence in their own parts and knowledge was provided by Iain doing the shakedown run on his newly finished A65 on the 80+ mile rideout!

User

Top guys, they helped me with a 75 year old Burman gearbox that had issues and even had all the spares I needed to sort it.

They Have Everything if not request them to make they will do it ... Love Draganfly
