A nice little project our team carried out recently in between the usual bigger projects. The client was struggling with the original sized beds and wanted these reduced to allow for a larger lawn along with a general overhaul of the existing features. The Edmonds Developments team stripped the existing beds of any unwanted shrubs and plants, excavated the existing lawn area and installed new topsoil and turf. We also renovated the top area of the garden (for which we forgot ...to take photos so these may follow) including paving repairs, retaining walls and a new rockery. The client was over the moon with the results and happy that the garden was back under control all ready for next spring!

Another project from our busy summer. We required an environmentally friendly solution for retaining the near side bank which was sympathetic to the surrounding area. Here we removed the existing footbridge and damaged block work retaining wall. We replaced this with Greenfix’s Envirolok Vegetated Wall system. With limited access, this was a perfect solution for the problems faced on site. To complete we installed a new oak framed footbridge with UPM’s ‘Stone Grey’ ProFi comp...osite decking system. We’re fortunate enough to work for some fantastic clients and this job was something different from the usual projects we’re asked to undertake. However, it’s a perfect example of the adaptability of our teams skill and workmanship to undertake any project put forward. Thanks again to Stuart and Sarah for keeping the teams energy levels up with all the teas and coffee’s!

Base correction and replacement with new concrete raft footing, followed by installation of new ‘Cinder’ porcelain paving system

It’s been a while since our last post. It’s not been through lack of work. We’ve been busy working away and checking off the jobs in our already busy diary. Here’s a little taster of our current project nearing completion.

Installation of a new ‘Grey’ Sandstone patio. As you can see this has created a far more attractive and usable hardstanding space in comparison to the utilitarian concrete slabs provided with this new build property. A worthy investment completed in time for the summer months.

Renovation of a tired concrete panelled garage. Including replacement of door lintel, new rafters and structural timbers, grey box section roofing with matching flashings and a fresh coat of paint.

Replacement of a tired concrete paving area with natural ‘Mint’ Sandstone paving.

Concrete base replacement with new workshop install and construction of new access steps.

Timber garage extension with power floated concrete floor and insulated steel box section roofing.
