On the evening of 19th July from 5pm until about 7pm there will be clear round jumping in the 'show ring'. This will start with xpoles and work up. More jumps are being put out and fillers. I will be starting to set every thing up at 4.30pm and asked for volunteers for both that and clearing away the following day after the show. I would like 4 people for both of these. I understand some of you are away but once again I have the 4 same people have come forward plus another who has kindly said she will help though not competing. Those who 'sign up' to doing either of these will get a free round. Also before the horses go back out on the parking field I need someone to check and clear any litter. One of these four has agreed to do it. Have I any people willing to help? If so please can you pm me.

If another 4 can sign up to being available as soon as the next days show finishes same thing. First names will be allocated. 20th July In hand and ridden ...showing show. Schedule on line or in Jades Tack Shop. Do look. The schedule changes each time. This one more open classes but also novice/novice. Mountain and Moorland and cob this time oh and veterans! Two Championships. Thursday August 1st Own a pony day. These very popular events run from 11am till 1pm. Grooming, learning basics including leading, ride and lesson then games with rosettes ending with a treasure hunt. Very popular. £30 per child. Numbers strictly limited so early booking advised. Own a pony days will also be run Tuesday 6th August, Thursday 15th August and Tuesday 27th August. No pony days run week commencing 19th August as the exciting 3 day pony camp is back this year. 20th to 22cnd August. 3 full days of fun, learning and competitions. Contact the yard re these or call in at Jades Tack Shop. Entries close 10th July don't miss it. On Friday 16th August there will be evening clear round jumping. Same as with the July one regarding help. Show on Saturday 17th. Pony camp August 20 21st 22cnd. Clear round jumping evening Friday 30th August and fun show Saturday 31st. That will start at 2pm. Novelty classes then jumping ( these will be fun but won't count towards points championship). In September we have our last showing shows on the 7th then the final one on Saturday 28th. At that show apart from the normal in hand and ridden champions and reserves of the day the points champions will receive their awards. Junior and Senior Champions and reserves but the person with the highest number of points will also win the challenge trophy for the Elmwood 12. As most of you know I try to organise these pretty much single handed. If Sue our entry secretary quits I think I will run for the hills 😔. I do need people to step up not only for setting jumps up and taking down but other areas. Sadly some competitors felt it was ok to leave rubbish behind where horses would be grazing. I will be reminding people to take it away but will need this checked. So please help. A few pitching in on these days will really mean a lot. At moment it's always the same few come forward.

Here is some more information about our Pony Camp 2019, for those of you who are thinking about joining us.
🐴 It’s held over three days: 20th,21st,22nd August.
🐴They are full days from 8am-5pm.
... 🐴 There are two Riding sessions every day one will be a practice lesson, the other will be competition.
🐴Competitions include: show jumping, cross-country, Dressage, Handy Pony & Tack and Turnout. There will be rosettes awarded for each discipline including trophies.
🐴Every evening we will have a fun activity which you will be wecome to join in with.
🐴Horseball and Ride and Road safety will be included.
🐴At the end of the three days we have our presentation ceremony where we give out the results and rosettes and trophies are awarded for each discipline as well as championship and trophies for most improved rider etc.
🐴You are responsible for your pony for the three days which means you get to feed, water and muck out your own pony and have your own stable for the duration of camp.

I've had people asking the date for the next show Saturday 20th July. Also will the schedule be the same. There will be some alterations but the basics of the show to encourage, learn and have some fun won't change. I'm hoping to have the schedule out later this week. Definite changes are there will be a ridden cob class and veteran. Also the RC horse/pony open class over the bigger jumps will be split. The jump height will be the same in both but they will be split 16 years and under and over 16. Hope you approve.

What a show today with many new faces. It means a lot when people say they enjoyed the day or as in one case today a Mum thanked me on a tip I gave re her ponies pulling and said had made all the difference to her little rider. Again I have to thank the people who turn out to work parties and help. Sadly its normally the same ones that come forward. And no show can go ahead without Judges, stewards and a secretary. So today its thanks to Sue Garrett judge and her niece Hannah who stewarded. Of course Sue Gilbert secretary. I would not do that job! I'm about to turn my phone off but will over next couple of days post results and points. Just now I will post a few pics to keep you going. I'm pleased to receive them from other people. I only took so many and my skills on camera aren't great.

Field gates closed and fences in place so horses can be turned out now.
