Tuesday Treat. The trees are all looking rather bare now, so we have decided to trawl our photo archive over the next few weeks and share some of our favourite images.

Monday Monument. Taking a look at the detail of our Orangery.

Friday Fact. Our Chapel is part of the undercroft of the original medieval chapel built by the Sapcote family.

Tuesday Tree. Before and after pruning of the pleached Lime trees along the wall between the gardens and the Estate Yard.

Monday Monument. Crenellations on the Sapcote Tower and South Front looking very fairy-tale-castle-like on a bright Monday.

Friday Flower. This week our little snowdrops have popped their heads up. Very cheering on the cold mornings.

Tuesday Tree. Scarcely a leaf left in the arboretum and they have all ended up in one of our several compost heaps!

Monday Monument. Hard to miss - this young lady keeps watch along the South Front.

Friday Flower. Just when we thought there was not a bloom in sight, look what is shining out under the trees - winter aconites.

Tuesday Tree. With the leaves fallen, the structure of the espaliered pear trees is visible in the Estate Yard and gives some interesting shadows on the wall. We had an absolutely bumper crop last year. Did you?

Monday Monument. Elegant wrought iron detailing from the well head in the centre of the lawns.

Friday Fact. We love weddings and if you are just engaged, congratulations! Why not hold your celebration with us? An intimate ceremony in the Orangery or the Billiard Room, stroll through the gardens to drinks on the lawn, a romantic backdrop for your photographs, a reception in a marquee in the Parkland ... you choose.

Monday Monument. Our Coriolis fountain lit up like a Christmas tree.

This wonderful place is only open a few week ends a year, if you manage to visit then you are privileged, the chapel is amazing and upstairs the collection of art works is awe inspiring, then you go into the libraries, omg, copies of every known classic, some Japanese art books, but my favourite would be the copies of the Paston letters, a social reference second to none of medical rural and family life. I need a week just to go through the place, if anyone can arrange that then please contact me.

This is a well maintained and well presented property, with excellent gardens - well worth a visit in my opinion.
