just popped in for coffee yesterday (christmas eve) decided i was a bit peckish, so had a toasted pannini with brie and bacon and my friend had a bucket of chips, just enough to keep the wolf at bay, excellent service as usual staff always pleasant and accomodating, it was busy but didnt have to wait too long for our order, and it was worth the wait. See you all again in 2017 as you are on our top 5 go to places for lunch or just coffee and cake. :D

User

Went with my mum and my Twin boys today for lunch as a half term treat- (my twins favourite place!) and as ever it was delicious! nothing is too much trouble, and they always go the extra mile for my little boy who loves his cup of tea (served in his own little teacup and saucer) - the lady who runs the cafe is always so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely chat with her - food is lovely, cafe is clean and tidy,5 stars well deserved and more if I could give it! thanks again and see you all soon x

User

We love EmZo, the gift shop it brilliant and also cafe. Can never just visit without buying anything lovely place. Really recommend a visit xx

User

Visited the shop for the first time yesterday and was very impressed with everything from wonderful stock and staff were very friendly, will definitely be visiting again, well done on such a fantastic array of delightful goodies. Also had an excellent lunch 😍

User

Visited EmZo today for the first time as up in Suffolk from London.

We decided to have breakfast in the cafe, the lovely staff were really attentive and nothing was too much hassle. They accepted my crispy bacon request with a smile and certainly delivered!

Breakfast was delicious and have to make a special mention to the eggs and bacon, can only imagine they are local and very fresh.

Could not resist taking a look round the shop and so glad I did as there are many gorgeous treats!

Will definitely be coming back when we have decorated the house to add all the perfect touches

Helpful

There stock is very eclectic and changes frequently you can always buy something

unusual and the prices are very reasonable

The cafe is excellent and the food first class

An excellent find in a small village

Such a shame to see all the negative comments on here. Emzo is an independent village shop and does so well every year to try and cater for 100's of people on the Christmas opening. I think individuals need to understand it will be busy and if you don't like that kind of environment then go on a different day. I think all the girls do so well and every year try to adapt the event in preperation for us all! The shop provides free hot drinks and snacks and people are moaning! This is free and the shop do not have to do this! Me, my friends and family come every year and love it! Well done guys xxxx

User

Love Emzo!!! I never leave empty handed and neither does my husband. Weirdly, Taking him to Emzo is like taking a child to a sweet shop. There is always a wide variety of gifts and little trinkets for the home and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Bought a wonderful set of cups plates dishes, etc from there recently which we have had lots of complements about. Love the banana milk shakes too!

I love going to Emzos as there's so much choice and lovely beautiful presents for friends and family. It's also great as you can stop for a gorgeous piece of cake and a cuppa in the cafe too. I would highly recommend to everyone.

User

Great atomosphere lovely cake and great service :)

User

First time there even though I drive past twice a day. Had to ask Lawes builders merchants where the café was as I thought it was just a gift shop. They directed me over.......had a good lunch and coffee. Very reasonable prices. It was busy, this reflects how popular it is. Going back today to buy some Halloween goods my little daughter had her eye on!

User

Emzo is now my favourite shop, I absolutely LOVE it!! The home accessories are beautiful and I bought lots for our new home as the prices are very reasonable

We had lunch here too which was lovely.

Happy I can still shop online when I'm not in the area x

User

Beautiful shop with a huge variety of really really nice things. I love the displays too, a lot of thought has gone into those. Nice friendly staff and everything is reasonably priced. I’ll certainly be coming back.

User

A group of 10 of us went to emzos to celebrate a friends birthday this week.We had a lovely brunch and drinks and we're well looked after as always ..Feel very lucky to live so close too this wonderful shop....well done

User

Attended the advertised Christmas event yesterday. On arrival at the car park across the road, there were sufficient marshals but it was already fairly full at 11.30am when event was scheduled to open at 12noon. Consequently there was already a substantial queue outside in the cold. The marquee was useful but an unnecessary route in if you didn't want snacks or drinks. (They were lovely though - thanks !). It was already very busy immediately on opening at 12, but being a decisive person I already more or less knew what I was looking for and was round the shop and at the tills within about 30 minutes. I was also lucky enough to receive a free goody bag which consisted of a canvas tote bag with a nice selection of bits in (another thank you !). The FB event page had made the parking instructions, opening times, cafe closure and other information very clear, and I therefore was expecting it to be as it was and wasn't surprised by this. I'd say as a suggestion that more use could be made of marquee for stalls for example and don't go if you want to peruse all the lovely products at leisure and in peace. Wouldn't recommend taking kids. A fab, bustling Christmas event overall.

User

Love the shopping and the shopping experience, but, very disappointed by the cafe. Arriving at 3:30, was told it was very late in the day to be using the cafe, when I checked closing time, I was told 5pm? It was like our order was too much trouble for them and they then proceeded to mop the floors whilst we were eating. I felt unwelcome and ended up leaving. Put off coming back if I’m honest.

User

I really love this store but today's xmas event was poorly planned and a huge disappointment. We queued in the cold for nearly an hour only to find they were having probs with hot chocolate and we could have in fact bypassed this and gone straight into the shop. Once inside the shop we found ourselves crammed in with no one moving and not really sure where to go. You couldn't actually view any of the products because of the amount of people and for fear of knocking/breaking something. All it became was an art in how to get out of the squash quickly. The queue for the tills was the length of the entire shop and the assistants that stood around didn't seem bothered that nobody knew where to go or the fact that we all seemed to just be squashed and moving with the 'tide' of people rather than browsing what I'm sure are lovely Christmas items. We spent 15 mins in the shop. 10 minutes of that was just trying to get out! I appreciate this is a popular event but perhaps there needs to be a rethink into how the shop is utilised - perhaps turn the marquee into the tills area and allow less people into the shop so those that are in the shop can actually 'see' the products and spend some money! Perhaps it should be a ticket event, with time slots. It left us feeling really disappointed. Hopefully a trip there next weekend will be less chaotic.

User

Attended their Christmas Spectacular yesterday; this was my first ever visit and I was excited as I'd heard great things. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype and I thought poorly organised. We had to queue for over 30 minutes in the cold; this then took us into a tent for free coffee or hot choc plus mini mince pie, sausage roll and cracker with cheese. We could have done without this and would have preferred to go straight into the shop. Once in the shop it was a total nightmare. There were SO many people you couldn't actually look at anything and just got swept along by the tide of people. My friend did have some things in her basket but abandoned it because the queue to pay was ridiculous. I will visit again sometime but I will forever more avoid the Christmas (un)Spectacular

I will visit again sometime but I will forever more avoid the Christmas (un)Spectacular

just popped in for coffee yesterday (christmas eve) decided i was a bit peckish, so had a toasted pannini with brie and bacon and my friend had a bucket of chips, just enough to keep the wolf at bay, excellent service as usual staff always pleasant and accomodating, it was busy but didnt have to wait too long for our order, and it was worth the wait. See you all again in 2017 as you are on our top 5 go to places for lunch or just coffee and cake. :D

User

Visited the shop for the first time yesterday and was very impressed with everything from wonderful stock and staff were very friendly, will definitely be visiting again, well done on such a fantastic array of delightful goodies. Also had an excellent lunch 😍

Just eating the most delicious chocolate brownie YUM

I love going to Emzos as there's so much choice and lovely beautiful presents for friends and family. It's also great as you can stop for a gorgeous piece of cake and a cuppa in the cafe too. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Great atomosphere lovely cake and great service :)

Emzo is now my favourite shop, I absolutely LOVE it!! The home accessories are beautiful and I bought lots for our new home as the prices are very reasonable

We had lunch here too which was lovely.

Happy I can still shop online when I'm not in the area x
