Went there last night and had a really nice (and very big) meal :), I will definitely be going back but might skip the starter next time, and just go straight to the main as the portions are very generous. I didn't book and was given a table, but it was nice to see that it was quite busy even on a Tuesday night, so word must be getting around. If I were to go on a weekend or special day I would definitely advise booking. I found the kitchen to be very good for such a new restaurant as it normally takes months to iron out all the little issues. Well done!

Went last night with family. The restaraunt is gorgeous, the refurbishment from when it was the Lord Raglan pub is high spec.

The staff are lovely, really friendly, and the food was amazing.

Huge portions, and very reasonably priced.

We didn't feel rushed and had a nice gap between courses. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely go again.

We went to Epirus for the first time last night, and we will definitely be going back. Gorgeous, authentic looking restaurant. With the music, and the decor- it really had the feeling of being on holiday. The food was so fresh, and delicious, and very reasonably priced. We had a large carafe of the house wine, which was surprisingly nice aswell. The staff, and owner couldnt do enough for us, and were really welcoming. Can't wait to go again!

Myself and the wife had a fantastic meal here last night, we had booked a table for 7 oclock and it was really busy but food came out really quickly considering how busy they were. And the food was lovely we opted for the Mezze for two people at a very reasonable £16.95 each. Which you got about 5 different starters and then your main which was gorgeous staff were run off there feet but nothing was too much trouble for them when asked for something. Wide range of drinks would recommend the house red a 500ml caraff of house red helped wash down the food. The place looked fantastic too no exspense spare on this new restaurant. We will defo be going back again soon. Thanks to staff for lovely food and service and a great night.

Happened to drive passed this afternoon and spot this little gem of a place. We decided we would pop back this evening for a meal. We were not disappointed. Greeted with smiles from all the staff. Made to feel very comfortable and relaxed. Drinks order taken straight away and came within minutes. The lovely staff took our food order and our starters arrived in arround 5 min. My 4 year old son had the meatball starter and chips as his main. And devoured every drop. He is a very picky eater so this was a big suprise. The adults starters were very tasty and good size portions all round. We had fresh bread on the table and tasted so fresh you'd swear it was just cooked. The mains were full of flavour and presentation was lovely. Myself and my son had chocolate cake for afters and man we should have shared! It was HUGE!! Super tasty and again served with a smile. Made up we happened to stumble on this beautiful place. Can't wait to go again with family and friends! Would recommend 10/10 thank you for a lovely meal and great atmosphere. It was very enjoyable

Great new restaurant. Tastefully decorated, super comfy chairs and good atmosphere. Would be great for a private party. Hungarian waitress was a dream - such a lovely lady. Food was delicious - home cooked and full of flavour plus the portions are HUGE! Hubby is a chip officianado and said they were just like his Mum’s home made ones, so high praise indeed! We’ll definitely be going back soon. Thanks and good luck to you with the restaurant xx

We went here on Saturday for a birthday celebration, and we were all really looking forward to trying somewhere new. I’d booked a table (via messenger) a couple of weeks before, but we arrived to find there was no table available for us, I’m not actually sure we were down in the book. We had to wait about 15 minutes before a table became available because it was a busy night. On the whole the food was ok, but the kleftiko was a bit tough and greasy, even though we were told it had been cooking for over 5 hours. The staff seem friendly enough but were not very attentive when it came to re-ordering the drinks. The restaurant was very noisy, and it was hard to have a conversation, but you could put that down to it being a busy evening, however, the music didn’t help, it was way too loud for background music!! I’m putting most of this down to teething problems and I would be happy to try again in a few months time when hopefully all problems have been resolved!!

Food was really nice... but.... they had run out of pork gyros. By 6 o'clock!!!. So my husband and daughter ordered the chicken gyros. We we told ther was only enough left for two people.

My lamb kebab came out 10 minuites before their meal. When their meal arrived my daughters child portion was bigger than my husbands. Except for the chips. My husbands meal had been bulked out with chips

Have to be fair the food was delicious. I didnt want to complain because the staff were so busy. Sadly i dont think i will be goin back in a hurry.

As a Greek food lover, I was really looking forward to my first visit here.We went as a party of.4 at 7:30 and the place was already busy. The decor and atmosphere was great. We ordered Tzatziki, Houmous, Salad, Prawn Saganaki and Saganaki to start. Everything was OK apart from the Houmous. It lacked seasoning and the basic ingredients. For main course we ordered Klefitiko, Chicken Kebab, Beef with aubergine and Minced Lamb kebab. Chicken kebab was OK, Beef was dry and bland although the aubergine was nice.minced lamb kebab very dry which is a shame. The Kleftiko, which is one of the easiest dishes to make, was more like a flavorless soup with large pieces of lamb. One of the strangest versions of the dish I have ever seen. all in all I though the food was disappointing. It was bland and lacked seasoning and the basic ingredients. We pleased to see that they had Mythos and Keo beers which were served ice cold. Naturally we enjoyed both. Although they only had one Greek wine on the menu it was Makedonikos. Which is OK. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. In summary, although the food fell well short of expectations we enjoyed our evening. This is largely due to the company and the relaxed atmosphere. I have given this a 3 star rating not for the food but because this place is relaxed and friendly and the fact that I still had a good evening. The restaurant has not been open long and I believe that it will improve with time. I would go back and try again in the future.

I Was very excited to dine at Epirus for the first time since hearing of its opening, however, Overall i was very disappointed. On entry to the restaurant, the decor was authentic and there was a really warm atmosphere which helped settle us in. I visited with my partner and we opted for the Greek Mezze sharer for 2 (consisting of a 2 course meal) priced at £16.75 per head. The first course offers a selection of small appetisers (hot & cold) which were very flavoursome. The second course consisted of chips / bread / chicken / small pieces of lamb (served with tzatziki, onion and tomato). Overall, for the price of this dish, this was poor value for money, although flavoursome, the amount of meat in the second course was minimal and it was bulked out by bread and chips. Upon finishing the second course, it also became apparent that one of the appetisers (the chicken meatballs) had not been served to us in the first course... we only realised this when the table next to us ordered the same sharer but appeared to have more (the menu doesn’t make it clear what exactly you are ordering as it is detailed in Greek). When we questioned this with a waiter, he confirmed that meatballs were part of the first course and loosely apologised, asking “do you want them now?”. For us this was too late and he didn’t seem too bothered that this had been missed. In addition to this, the ‘bar’ didn’t consist of any draught beer/cider/soft drink. Everything that was served was served from the bottle... again these drinks seemed overpriced given they were all from the bottle. A venue which has the potential to be a real nice restaurant was ruined by the value for money and quality of dishes / service at times.

Visited last Friday eve with my husband and friends!

Initial impressions weren’t great!

Firstly a very strange location but didn’t let that put me off when I booked

Staff were very unorganised took at least three to come over before showing us to a table even though I had booked!

Drinks order was taken (didn’t know what ouzo was)

No draft larger!

Drinks arrived then we had a long uncomfortable wait for our orders to be taken so long we’d forgotten what we’d ordered and had to remind ourselves! Bread served was at least a day old.

Starters came, chicken meatballs were fine but presentation was non existent.

Feta cheese (fried) was greasy! Butter beans were very tasty!

Then mains arrived

Gyros I’m told was a chore to eat and Pita bread was cardboard!

Pork filet was so dry half of it was left!

My chicken kebab was one skewer of bland chicken thigh a few wedges of tasteless tomatoes lettuce and cheap feta cheese! (I had asked for no chips )

Everything was served with chips or mash or more chips (a cunning way to bulk out a meal on the cheap)

House wine was awful thankfully not enough of it was drank to give me a bad head in the morning!

I was embarrassed as it was my idea to book this restaurant!

Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Also being told to put 5* reviews up REALLY!!
