We’ve definitely had sunnier ones, but this year’s Dragon Boat Festival at Peterborough Rowing Lake was still a winner.
Once again it was a sell out event and 45 teams braved the rain and still managed to raise a massive £30,000 for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice – and we salute them all.
The champions on the day were TVSG The First, and the top charity fundraisers were TVSG who raised an amazing £6,030 and scooped themselves an experience day at Orton Hall Hotel including the... Imagine Spa and a birds of prey experience courtesy of CJ’s Birds of Prey.
The best dressed crew was The Hawaii Five-O’s from Ballast Phoenix.
ESP photographer Mike Harris got his raincoat on and captured the action and the smiles.
