Due to a technical issue the swimming pools are closed today (Thurs 30th Aug) and will reopen at 7.00am on Fri 31st Aug. We apologise for any inconvenience. We are currently ringing around to inform all swimming lesson members who have given us their phone number. Swimming lesson members who pay by direct debit will have the appropriate amount deducted off your payment on 1st Oct. Those who pay termly can collect a credit note from reception to use against your next payment.

Meet our member of the month............

Went with my boys today and Pam (one of the Swim Teachers) was an absolute star!! she was so helpful, my boys were nervous and she showed them some fun games to play to get used to the water and swimming, and was so friendly and approachable - we are looking forward to lots of lessons here, thank you for making their day!

Love coming to the gym! Everyone is so friendly!! Creche is great too! Staff are excellent especially Di and Sammi who know exactly how far to push me!! Di is a fab personal trainer and I wouldn't go to anyone else now!! :)

I've always found the front of house staff more than willing to help and always polite.

The gym team are great and really helpful when you have a question.

The crèche staff are wonderful with the kids. Staff at Playworld are,again, more than happy to help you out.

I've not had an issue with anything that hasn't been resolved straight away,without fuss

Becky kills us in Pump but always with a smile and a wink!

Mark always has a supportive comment to make,especially when trying to do the plank!

Zoe has us zumba'ing in Halloween costumes , great fun !

I had my sons birthday party here yesterday. It all went perfectly. Thank you to the staff for making it a great party for him �

I am here on holiday in Stowmarket this week and thoroughly enjoyed the classes I enrolled in especially the cycling spin classes with incredibly wonderful instructors- Ollie and Di and Helen- the Kaiser bikes were fabulous and temperature in room was just right. The instructors ensured everyone was all set with seat placement etc and their encouragement, guidance and cues made for an exciting, challenging, heart pumping class that left me dripping with sweat, shaky legs and a feeling of euphoria! Great job to the instructors.....and sincere appreciation to Ollie for taking the time to discuss a few of the musical selections on his playlist. I shall be back!

Had a tuition session with Richard on the climbing wall. My 8 year old said "He was interested in us, made me feel safe and made me feel it was OK if I couldn't do everything right". Fantastic review from a child. Richard made us feel comfortable, he was professional and we had a great time. I made two telephone calls to book the session and the staff were polite and had great telephone manners. Really impressed. Highly recommend. Thankyou.

But I don't like they cut Combat on a Saturday in the summer it's popular too!!

Becky and the team have been a huge help to me and to my wife as we've worked to achieve better health and fitness. Excellent results (by combining the Slimming World regime with regular exercise we've lost 10 stone between us - so far...). Staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful (and special thanks to Callum for sorting out a problem with logging in on the equipment this afternoon!)

The only issue we had was that we wasnt allowed to have a jug off water and that the reception was allowed to give us cups off water i couldnt see what the problem was we had bought a jug off juice there was children that didn't like juice and prefer water

I attended with my wife yesterday and unlike one comment,I found the staff on the front desk very professional and friendly along with the young ladies in the cafe. On walking around the complex I was greeted with a cheery smile and a Good morning by every member of staff that I met. Well done.

Had a great time, friendly place to go.

We recently had our sons third birthday party at Playworld which was a great afternoon, this was because of the company we had and the help from the lovely party assistant who joined us towards the end. However when we first arrived in time for the party to start at 12:15 we had to wait 15 minutes for the previous party to leave and then another 15 minutes for the member of staff to 'clean up' although most mess was left and the table cloths were dirty and ripped. Meaning that not only did we lose a quarter of the time we paid for but also our party guests were kept waiting in the stairwell with toddlers, babies and bags (downstairs was very busy with no available seating). When I approached the member of staff to talk about this I was met with aggression and told that there was only space in the party room for the children I paid for and not any parents, as if it is common practise for 3 year olds and younger to attend a birthday party on their own. The food was substandard and certainly not worth the additional £7.25 paid per child.

They need to stop the staff at the cafe talking over the counter to another member of staff whilst the only person serving is making a coffee for someone. The one moaning about a new till system being installed on the 16th of this month kept looking at me whilst I waited to pay for items and didn't offer to serve me and had to wait for the member if staff who was making coffee to serve about 4 minutes.

Ridiculous sort the staff out so they all serve the customers so they don't stand around waiting. Think it's very unprofessional moaning about new systems in front of customers

The jim facilities out of order regularly, and it takes ages to fix it. Also, if there is a swimming pools at the leisure centre, it could be the sauna area fitted for the members. No sauna �

I appreciate at Christmas employees are more than entitled to spend time with their families etc, but to do reduced opening times on days during the Christmas week that aren't bank holidays is pretty frustrating. It has now meant that due to work commitments I have now missed out on a week of the gym when I could easily have come in the evenings.

Perhaps something that could be reviewed for next year - Just becuase it's Christmas it doesn't mean that everybody is able to get to the gym before 5pm!

Whatever happened to daylight in the main pool swimming area? Why put up potentially lethal red plastic panels on all the windows? No doubt management responsible are clueless to possible wider implications? Please do the sensible thing and rip it off all the windows and allow some healthy daylight back into pool area. It was wonderful swimming and having natural light flickering on the water.

I went for a swim at midday. I know it is school holidays but really ! There was one lane only for swimmers wanting to do lengths , with eight people off different abilities. I was kicked , pushed against the wall and nearly submerged by people trying to over take me ! I have a membership which I pay monthly so that I can swim at anytime, no I can't what with schools, club, swimming lesson it's practically impossible to find a slot when I can just swim and enjoy myself. I am seriously wondering if it's worth keeping up my membership.
