We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas from us all at Fakenham Racecourse.
We have not sent Christmas cards this year, but instead we have made a donation to Salvation Army, so they can help less people feel alone this Christmas.

It is Christmas Eve! What is your favourite Christmas Eve tradition?

Fresh from their visit to Ascot races, our three Ebony Horse Club riders visited trainer Warren Greatrex's Yard to see all the hard work it takes to get a racehorse to the track.
They also received one last surprise before heading home.

User

great atmosphere, lovely little course with good food and drink facilities. Easy parking and reasonable prices. Family freindly, will be back.

User

Went to Christmas at Fakenham yesterday and had an amazing day. Complementary Santa visit for the children with the best Santa I've experienced. Clean, tidy and intimate if a little rustic, perfect way to kick off Christmas. Looking forward to visiting again

User

Went for an 80th birthday - never been to horse racing before but really enjoyed the whole experience. All the staff were lovely and we were well looked after - lovely meal.

User

This was booked as a special treat for my husbands birthday and it couldn't have been better. I would like to say a personal thanks to Trudi who was great at communication and very reassuring to a nervous wife. Thanks to Trudi and the amazingly friendly staff in the Firth restaurant who all made it very memorable. My husband was thrilled with the whole day. Thanks Fakenham we will be back.

User

Spent my birthday here and took 3 friends who had never been racing before. They loved it and said how friendly and fun it was.

User

Lovely little course, great views of the whole track, as part of a syndicate we were well looked after, from the lady in reception, the old boys on the gates to the clerk of the course, horse won! Fakenham staff made a fantastic day into a day most of us will never forget.

User

Love this racecourse. Always good for a family day at the races - try it & see!

Only gripe is that racing is usually on Tue or Fri so miss out on term-time racing however I guess that's because the biggest courses get the weekend business.

User

It was my first visit to Fakenham yesterday as an owner, after a 200 mile trip up from Wiltshire to watch my horses trail in last and near to last (we will be back!)...I must say that the drive and the results were a distant memory thanks to the excellent hospitality we received from the team in the Owners and Trainers Bar...lovely room, a great cottage pie and cold beer!, what more do you need. A genuinely friendly course with excellent staff...Thank you all..πŸ‡πŸΎπŸ½πŸΊ...200 πŸš™

I took a group of children to the racecourse as part of the Race To School Programme. The hospitality was really good. The children (and adults) got the chance to be shown around the weighing room and the parade ring before watching the races in some very snazzy silks. We judged and presented the best turned out for one of the races and were invited to present the winning owner of the first race with their prize. All in all, a great educational day for both the children and teaching staff.

User

Friendly staff who remember you short walk into town by the river, close to north norfolk coast one of our favourites thoroughly recommend it.

User

Excellent event catering in the Prince of Wales Stand by The Crown catering team. Highly recommend.

User

A lovely tidy friendly course will definitely be back

User

A lovely small racecourse, the first one I've been to and will definitely go again...oh, and you can bring your dog

User

small enough to be easy to get around we had some great days there ,but wrap up warm on cold days ! "as its Norfolk "

User

Nice friendly course easy to park and walk around. Booked on-line next day post! Upgraded when we got there for the disabled parking. No advantage in upgrade. Don't bother. This could have been a lot clearer on the web site ended up in the wrong place despite following there directions. Some of the homemade foods on offer were really nice. Staff extremely helpful. All smiling despite the cold!!

User

Lovely sunny February afternoon, friendly staff, plenty of places to eat and drink, easy to get in and out, good racing and you can even take your dog. Good recipe for an enjoyable time.

User

Had a great day racing on New Years day with good friends. The weather was awful but it didn't stop us enjoying the day.

User

Lovely little course! Shame that every 10 yards your asked for more money to upgrade! Everywhere was seriously boggy. Yet no grates been put down over grass areas . Was packed and the only bar was heaving due to the weather. Car parking in the boggy field was a put off as cars were getting stuck. For the money they ask it's shocking
