Farm Cafe + Shop, Marlesford Description
We are passionate about locally sourced quality food and insist on the best ingredients cooked well to produce the best roadside food possible. Praised in reviews in most of the national newspapers including The Times, The Independent, The Guardian and many others, the cafe is now well established as the place to find local food cooked to order and served to many satisfied customers.
The cafe uses food which is fresh, local and the source (provenance) well known to us. We have over 100 local suppliers and employ just over 20 local people.
A natural diversification of the business was to sell the wonderful local food available in East Suffolk through our shop. Officially launched on 5 October 2007, the shop at the farm café uses our large network of local suppliers and stocks a wonderful array of food.

First visit and the food was lovely bonus is that it's dog friendly
Excellent service and a generous serving of food well done
Everything about this cafe was excellent. The service the food was delicious and served piping hot without any delay. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Called in yesterday with family en route to Car Chase Heroes, we were in a a hurry, the cafe was very busy, waiter advised us of long wait for plated breakfasts so we opted for the sandwich options, thoroughly enjoyed the food, friendly helpful staff, have been several times before and will call again when we are travelling down from Gt Yarmouth.
Beautiful little place. Wish I had time for a full breakfast it all looked wonderful. I had a cheeky cheese scone and earl grey tea with chilli jam, tomato chutney and cream cheese and chives or butter. Gorgeous, warm and fresh.
Absolutely delicious , staff polite and made you feel welcome .
Lovely food, very friendly staff, nice view... dog friendly x
Sadly today wasn’t at all good. We go to this place regularly but today we waited for an hour for our food (might add that there were 5 of us, but only had 2 cooked meals, 2 salads and a baguette). The pies, as always, were great. The salads were pitiful and the baguette was stingy! I ordered sticky toffee pudding to try fill up on but the spoonful of custard that came up in the bottom of the small jug was cold. I took it back to the counter and in true ‘Oliver’ fashion I asked for more.
Don’t know what went so horribly wrong today but the service was bad and the food served to me was tasteless and boring (salad).
Served by the rudest and most ignorant waitress ever. Ordered fruit which was bruised and obviously very old; dumped on the table with no knife, serviette or plate. Other waitress offered to refund for food after hearing of experience and handled the situation very well. The first waitress shouldn't be there with such a lack of social or hospitality skills. Will not return.
