Equine viral papillomatosis (EcPV-1) also known as warts, baby warts, grass warts or milk warts. Small lumps on the skin of the muzzle and lower part of the head of youngsters from weanlings up to the age of 5. This virus is contagious hence is common place to see on racing yards where there is a higher density of youngstock. The virus has an incubation period of up to 3 months followed by a growth period of 1-2 months before spontaneous regression. As a result they are purely cosmetic and often don’t require any treatment other than time to run their course. #equinevet #vetstudent #yearling #fpequine

My mum and I changed over to use Farr and pursey a few weeks ago and dealt with our horse amazingly. In the past he's been nervous with vets to the point they can't get near him. We have so far only had Ricky but He came in and approached our horse in a positive and professional manner and explained everything. I cannot thank these guys enough for what they have done and how quick and efficient they are at emailing back with their findings/ next steps etc even at silly hours! Thank you so much so appreciated!!

I couldn't recommend this dynamic duo enough :-) In less than 2 years we have been through a number of serious issues from back problems to strange scapes, from vettings to wolf teeth out, and sadly the loss of a much loved horse. Throughout each episode Ricky and Nikki have been kind, informative and inclusive and always happy to explain and educate both me and my son. I love the fact that they feel they have an important role to play in educating us away from our yards too and we have found their education evenings at the pub really helpful and we have learnt so much. Their interest in and investment in mobile technology also means they are able to treat our horses in the security of their environments so reducing stress for both horse and owner and of course costs too. So professional and such nice guys too :-)

I can’t recommend this team highly enough. They go above and beyond the call of duty, are a phone call or text away and always respond quickly. Nikki has been particularly helpful with my mares “issues”.... friendly, reliable and professional what more could you want?

Being new to the horse world, Ricky has always allowed me to ask questions, and observe so that I could learn as much as possible to be a responsible horse owner. The first time I met him was a couple of years ago when he allowed me to watch him use a twitch to treat a horses sarcoid on the eye to most recently injections in a horses back as well as the treatment of my own accident prone boy. He's never let me feel as if I am bothering him with too many questions and has also given me less expensive alternatives to try first which often works! Farr and Pursey has so much to offer for not only their Equine patients, but their human clients as well.

Amazing team who always go above and beyond their call of duty. Wouldn’t use any other vets. Highly recommend, first class service.
