About Ferry Meadows Parkrun
FREE 5k timed run at Ferry Meadows Cafe, every Saturday morning 9: 00am. A great way to keep fit and meet fellow participants of all ages and abilities.
Ferry Meadows Parkrun Description
Peterborough parkrun is a timed 5k run around Ferry Meadows County Park. Running is FREE, just register on the parkrun website, print your barcode and come along. You will be sent a time and place afterwards to let you know how you did.
This is an event for all ages and abilities and organised by volunteers. The start and finish are near to Ferry Meadows Cafe, so join us for cake, tea or sandwich afterwards and chat to fellow parkrunners.
The route is a loop of Lynch Lake and then an out and back loop towards Gunwade Lake. This is a flat all tarmac course that will be very enjoyable.
No matter if your a seasoned athlete or a novice, you're welcome to join us.

**** CAR PARKING ****
The new car park system will be fully operational this Saturday, October 13th. Please remember to bring a method of payment; cash or card. And don't forgot your barcode (why would you!!??) as this will be scanned in order for you to get the discounted fee.
"As discussed this morning, the new parking system at Ferry Meadows is now fully operational as of yesterday.... The runners Parkrun barcode is linked to a charge of £1 at the pay stations. The runners will need to enter their vehicle registration at the pay machines and scan their Parkrun barcode at the scanner at the bottom of the machines. The machine will then show them a charge of £1, which they can then pay by cash, card, or contactless."

**UPDATE** There will be no charges for parking at this week's parkrun (29th September). Please listen to the run briefing regarding the changes below for the following week.
As you may be aware there have been some small changes to car parking at Ferry Meadows. For now there will be NO on-line payments, so please remember to bring cash or card in order to pay before exiting. Please also remember to bring your parkrun barcode with you (you shouldn't be forgetting this anyway!!) #DFYB

If there are no volunteers, there will be no parkrun. We quite simply cannot put on an event on a course that has no been set up or is safely marshalled. We cannot give times or positions if nobody is timekeeping, handing out finish tokens, keeping an eye on the funnel or barcode scanning. And nobody will receive their results if there is nobody to process them.
We regularly have over 500 people take part and we only need about 30 a week to take a turn at helping.
