Fidelity Guitars Description
Hi, I'm Matt - luthier and owner of Fidelity Guitars.
I've been mad about electric guitars since my teens, when my uncle gave me his beloved black s-type for my 16th birthday. Within weeks, I'd ripped out all of the pickups and hacked one of the horns off in an effort to transform it into something unique. That passion to understand, modify and improve guitars by any means possible has continued to grow ever since.
In 2016, I decided to stop kidding myself that I'd be happy seeing out my days climbing the corporate ladder and quit my career in marketing to found Fidelity Guitars.
For me, the most important thing is for an instrument to be inspiring; something you pick up for a quick noodle and end up putting down hours later with a new song riniging in your ears. Key to that is making our guitars feel great and deliver a versatile range of sounds. Equally important is delivering these instruments at a price which makes them accesible to as many guitarists as possible.
Our designs are influenced by the best elements of classic instruments from every era of the electric guitar, brought together to form something new and exciting.
All of our guitars are handcrafted one at a time by me at our workshop in Cambridge. As well as our production series, we're happy to take on custom builds and modifications. Have a look at our online shop to see the current stock and options for bespoke orders.

Over the summer The Horrors recorded a bunch of tracks for Seattle's legendary KEXP radio station, and the signature guitar we made for Josh features on all of them. There have been a few moments which have totally made this year a special one for me and this is definitely way up there with them. If you've got half an hour spare this weekend then do yourself a favour and check out the full performance on YouTube, it's absolutely brilliant. It lives!!! So happy with how this nitro- finished relic pedalboard turned out, huge thanks to Rich at Alder & Ash - amazing craftsmanship all round, including the stunning tweed / tolex hardcase.
