This Monday’s Fiery Bird Show will see the welcome return of Stephen Colegrave co-Founder of Byline Festival which takes place from 24-27 August at Pippingford Park East Sussex is A great festival whose line up of bands includes Dept S The Members The Vapors and many more and with thought provoking talks, comedy & presentations from amongst others John Cleese, Alexei Sayle etc Tune in to hear more from Stephen about what inspired the festival to take place in a ‘post truth’ society and hear music from some of the bands playing 6-8pm Monday 13th August www.radiowoking.co.uk or DAB in the Woking area Also don’t forget we will have our WOW slot so if you’ve encountered one of these fine souls you can choose a song especially for them :-)

Tonight on Fiery Bird Show I will be talking to Antonia Parker of Parker Presents who is running Music nights around the area including one tomorrow at Fiery Bird featuring Kiran & The Revival, The Estevans and Glossii. Sharing her favourite music and hearing about her work on the local live scene. Have a listen in between 6-8pm on www.radiowoking.co.uk Also featuring some new tracks from new bands, incl Blackjack Love and news from the great fundraising event One Summer’s Day put on by Gavin Thomas on Sunday and the Farnborough Groove by Pete Cole which is coming up this Saturday at Farnborough Football Club.

Fiery Bird Show is on at 6pm which includes an interview with Matthew Rankcom co-writer/director/producer of Perfectly Ordinary - a brand new musical about mental health being featured as part of Guildford Fringe this month.
Apart from that I am on my own trying to link Nuns and discos, Orange things, new music, gigs coming up at Fiery Bird, events that people pay me a lot of money to talk about (not really I talk about anything just for the free oxygen) and anything else that takes my fancy.

This is the last Fiery Bird Show on a Thursday night - from Monday 11th June it moves to 6-8pm and my first guest is Zac Brookes from local band The Watermelon Complex who are doing their final gig in Woking on 29 June before leaving to take their music further afield.

After two weeks ‘break’ Thursday night sees the return of the Fiery Bird Show this week featuring Pete Cole of Blag Promotions who has released the 11th Farnborough Groove album with bands from the local area. Pete will also be talking about his fundraiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind at Farnborough Football Club on 28th July featuring many of the bands from the compilation. Joining us in the studio will be half of Fuzzwalker playing some songs as well as hearing selections from the Farnborough Groove album
