Flower Fusions

On my morning walk to the river I was captivated by the abundance of this Berberis.
Such a pretty colour, such thorny thorns ! that I wasn't able to forage, I had in mind adding it to a vase of flowers for my own delight but will make do with the Dahlias instead, they've gone crazy on the abundance stakes too.

I'm just back from my happy hols. Spent some happy hours in two inspiration gardens

Often when I visit a client for the first time to walk and talk through their garden to think about a new design they tell me they are fed up with all the weeds they have, so I thought I'd share my video to show that weeds are pretty too and with the busy lives that we have it's not always possible to keep on top of everything, all the time. Maybe we should love a little imperfection? Or hire a gardener!!!

I'm planting a pretty garden in Musbury at the moment, it's not a very big plot but it's going to look lovely in just a few months, everything will quickly root out into the warm soil at this time of year and top growth, either leaves of shrubs or flowers on perennials will burst into colour to fill the space with their magic.
Sometimes it's good to revamp a border, things outgrow their allotted space or have been there for ages, perhaps when you moved into your house you nev...er really took to that particular plant but somehow never got round to making more of that part of your garden. If you'd like, we can arrange a meet up to walk and talk your garden with a view to making the most of what you have and adding your favourite plants and if you're not sure what your favourites are then together we can work on the sort of thing you love, maybe lots of textured greenery, co ordinated colours, a mass of bright, fire hot colours- we can chat about the kind of stuff you love, identify your vision for a beautiful garden and get planting. As a garden designer I'm pleased to show what plants will thrive, in your particular soil and situation, how big they'll get, the time of year to expect flowers - not all in one hit for just the spring!

Flowers from the Farm won a gold at RHS Chelsea Flower Show! So delighted for the team and for this fabulous network of flower growers and florists, so proud to have donated some of my flowers. Congratulations and love to all.
To see the stand created by Flowers from the Farm you can catch it on the telly, it's featured on BBC1 tonight, 23rd May at 7pm.
