Busy few days. The first pic is the plug for our sinks which we have polished up and set in a flat surface. Here you see it with the first layer of gel.
The second pic is the mould having been released from the plug (which is now scrap) and the taps, overflow and waste holes have been flattened ready for polishing next week when we will make the actual sinks.
The third pic is of the laminate trimming of the oven surround.

Galley beginning to be pre-fitted to determine best positions and front shelf and helm console being offered up having been remade and laminated. Hopefully, the oven which is an awkward size will be fitted tomorrow.

Some fleet progress over the last week includes a lot of sanding on Absolute, Matt black spray painting of the windows of our refit (it will look great) and we have just begun to make new sink plinths and sinks for it too.

Much of the boiler plumbing is now in to work the central heating on our refit.

Undercoat number 2 and a new bit of wooden rubbing strake on one of our day boats.

Cleaning and painting the engine room of our refit. Removing 30 years of grime is an incredibly messy job, but the satisfaction is big. This engine room will look fab when finished and then we can get on with the rewire.

How about a November boat trip? Our Jester day boat takes up to six people and includes a warm air heater to warm you up!

A busy and productive day. One engine out for an overhaul and try to stop an oil leak, lots of sanding on one of our day boats (see prev post) and pod is lifted for winter too. As well as other work on our refit.

Went with two friends to celebrate a 50th birthday and had the most fantastic time!! Already put our reservation in to do it all again next year...... Stayed on Song of Freedom, she might be getting on a bit but she's still got it.... A bit like us really!!

We have just spent a wonderful week on Absolute freedom. Massive thank you to Andrew, Nicola and Mark who went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was perfect even phoning to check we were ok yesterday with the storm and high tide. We will definitely be booking again and would highly recommend to everyone.

We are just on our way home from 4 amazing days on Lady of Freedom. We have already decided that we hate coming back to the real world and miss the calming slow pace of river life. That's not to say our trip wasn't eventful!



We enjoyed lots of BBQs and pub stops along the way, as well as admiring the stunning views and wildlife. We had a variety of weather from bright sunshine to a rather exciting early morning thunderstorm. The boat was a really good size for the 2 of us with everything we could have needed.



From booking the holiday back in March, to handing the keys back this morning, the lovely peeps at Freedom Boats have been awesome! Really helpful and friendly... especially when we ran into trouble with some rather pesky weeds, which ended up with us being stuck sideways across the river - unfortunately just out of reach of the adjacent pub! After a quick phone call to Nikki, the lovely Mark (AA boat man) appeared over the horizon like a 'knight in shining day boat' to rescue us! Mark got us out of trouble and onto dry land quickly, whilst keeping us calm and with a good sense of humour.



Unfortunately the pesky weeds had caused a bit more trouble than we first thought so the lovely Andy appeared to give us a tow back to the yard. This was the last evening of our holiday so in our opinion the guys went above and beyond so that we were not disheartened, finishing with a lift up to the end of the lane so we could finally get to the lovely Rushcutters pub that had been mocking us from across the river beforehand!



All in all the Broads are beautiful and we would not hesitate in recommending Freedom Boats for a professional, personal and friendly service. We will most definitely be back!!! Clive and Lou x

Just got back from a 3 day short break with the Song of Freedom. Arrived early which was no problem, lovely personal service, informative brief on the boat, moorings, rules of the river, and the boat. Clear instructions on handling the boat and hands on instruction of sailing the boat down the river. The Song handled very well and the weather was excellent, apart from a 40 minute storm on the last day. Handover was smooth and the cost of the deisel was cheap. All in all an excellent, laid back holiday in a very beautiful part of the world.

This was the last evening of our holiday so in our opinion the guys went above and beyond so that we were not disheartened, finishing with a lift up to the end of the lane so we could finally get to the lovely Rushcutters pub that had been mocking us from across the river beforehand!



All in all the Broads are beautiful and we would not hesitate in recommending Freedom Boats for a professional, personal and friendly service. We will most definitely be back!!! Clive and Lou x

Amazing staff, very polite, very helpful nothing is too much trouble.

Boats are not brand new, but reflects in the price you pay. That said, boats are clean and comfy and has everything you need.

Me and 11 friends have just had an amazing weekend on Fine Freedom and Song of Freedom, had an amazing time and we are missing the boars already!

Just got back from a 3 day short break with the Song of Freedom. Arrived early which was no problem, lovely personal service, informative brief on the boat, moorings, rules of the river, and the boat. Clear instructions on handling the boat and hands on instruction of sailing the boat down the river. The Song handled very well and the weather was excellent, apart from a 40 minute storm on the last day. Handover was smooth and the cost of the deisel was cheap. All in all an excellent, laid back holiday in a very beautiful part of the world.

Just arrived home from a fantastic weekend on Lady of Freedom from freedom boats, fantastic service from lovely people (Andy and Nicky) friendly family run boatyard, you can hire more luxurious boats from different boatyards I have no doubt but that comes at a cost and you would miss out on the character of this place, the prices are more than reasonable and we had everything we needed and more .when we took Lady out we were given a 30 minute or so guide on the boat, the do’s and dont’s and a great short lesson in boat handling so when we left the boatyard we thoroughly confident and went on to have a wonderful weekend from Lowestoft to Beccles to Loddon, I can definitely recommend and we will most definitely return to freedom for our next visit to the Southern Broads

I’d definitely recommend Freedom Boating Holidays. Both Nicky and Andy were really helpful throughout our booking and beyond, and entrusted the Absolute Freedom to us even though we had no idea what we were doing!



We had a great few days, met some lovely people and found some lovely pubs. Highly recommended.



We will definitely venture back to the Broads and book again.

Booked at the last minute for a day cruise. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Makes the day better when you are really made welcome. We all loved cruising along a nice quiet stretch of the Yure. Next time we will try to go Norwich way.
